Sounds lovely but Mexico is a little too far to travel:rolleyes:

Ellis has a party and we have the buyers visiting us on Saturday afternoon - eek! - I have to clean again:lmao: , then we're off for a curry on the evening.

Yep! - Chris has done his disappearing act again, Lindy will be along soon, she's probably busy at work.

Mines in September (5th)

We did have a list somewhere of celebrations - goodness knows where though:rolleyes1 - I would hate to miss a celebration onboard and not send a card. Good idea - lets get a list on Yahoo.:thumbsup2 If I figure out how then I'll start it. I think LINDY IS THE OLDEST;) , then me, then Jeff, then youself

Alex's birthday is Sept. 5 also. She will be 11.

Yep you're right, Aurora is the enemy especially lately :lmao: ! I work at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. I did do both my X-ray and ultrasound schooling at St. Lukes though, but that was 21 years ago already and a lot sure has changed in that time. It is amazing all 6 of us kids in my family work in health care along with 3 of my nieces and none of us work for the same company.

I did some training out there at Waukesha Mem Hosp a few years ago. It was part of my Dosimetry training. I spent two weeks in the Embassy Suites somewhere near there. Do you know anyone from Rad Onc? i met several people from that hospital. Very nice people, just talked funny!!!!:goodvibes

( I cut my teeth on the Connors / McEnroe rivalry).

Ohmygod, yes!!! So did I. Of course, I loved Bjorn Borg--I can remember crying when he lost to McEnroe at Wimbledon and then he went and retired on us later that year. Devastating! I hated McEnroe when he was a player, but I LOVE him as a commentator.

I was a huge McEnroe fan - not so much his player persona but his game...man, that was incredible. I liked Pete Sampras a lot when he was playing, too. A gentleman - don't see that too often anymore.

I am also a big fan of Federer (he's dreamy) and I really have enjoyed the evolution of the Federer / Nadal rivalry. Those are some great matches! :thumbsup2

BTW - you're right, Johnny Mac is a great commentator!

o.k., here are my answers to Nancy's questions about women sport freaks:

I am from Wisconsin :cheer2: and my husband is from Illinois :scared1: , but somehow we fell in love  . When we got married we decided that we would compromise on our sport teams, sooooo our children are being raised as Green Bay Packer fans and Chicago Cubs fans. There would be no discussing them being Bear fans!! That would have been an outrage especially this south in the state. The Cubs thing is pretty easy, although we still root for the Brewers as well. I was a very lucky 8th grader in 1982 as I was able to go to one of the World Series games. I was a HUGE fan during the days of Robin Yount and Paul Molitor.

I also follow and LOVE to watch professional tennis. I know that is not a popular sport to watch here in the US, but what about are British friends? My dream would be to watch a match at Wimbledon especially if Roger Federer was still playing. I have a total crush on that guy. Could he be any more perfect????

Sorry but I hateWimbledon, why?,Because the minute it starts the rain comes and it don't stop for 2 weeks solid and that's when the real nightmare starts, bloody Cliff Richards comes out and sings on central court and that's enough for anyone to have to stomach, you did ask sorry......:sad2:

ps...I for one would like to see far more female beach volleyball on TV and a lot less women's shot putt and hammer throwing...:rolleyes1

We went to Busch Gardens this past weekend and rode The Griffin. It's drop is 90 degrees!!!:scared1: :scared1: It was awesome!!!

Is the The Griffin a new ride?.....:)

I realize after posting that I find Roger Federer "dreamy" I may have upset my dear AFEG, wherever he may by lurking. I just want to reassure him that the "snuggle-bunny" is still tops on the DIS. ;)

And lady while your honouring us with presence here whats all this "Paige i think i love you".....:confused3 Are you trying to tell the not so bright Englishman in your life that your not averse to batting for away team as well as for the home team:rolleyes1

Do you think I frightened her off?

I was really talking about her ability to make me laugh...:goodvibes She's like my sistah from anotha motha! ;)

Where is my other American lady friend?....Come out come out wherever you are....

ps...Breda dear the "come out" was not meant as a pun you feel to come out whenever you feel ready to and not before.....:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Nancy I've never been to Mileagers at either of those times. I guess I'll have to go before the cruise this Oct. and again at Christmas time and check it out. Which one do you go to? The one in Sturtuevant or Racine?

Jeff when you're done at Nancy's you could come to my house. I'll make sure Al takes down Rachel's swingset tonight so that we could rotatill that area for a new garden tomorrow :lmao: and then when you're done you could go to Red Robin with us

NANCY**NANCY**NANCY!!!!!!!!

Are you still out there? If you are going to the Milaeger's on 32 in Racine you are literally two blocks from my house!! I would certainly run over to meet you (and pick up some vegetable plants too!)

Cheryl and Victoria, Yes, I'll be at the Mileagars in Racine tomorrow morning sometime. I'm not sure what time I'll be there though. All I know is that we'll be there "sometime" in the morning. I'd hate to tell you a specific time and then we're late or something.

Wow all these "40" birthdays coming up. I started taking notes on whose is when because I'll never remember. Now if only I'll remember where I will put the sheet of paper that I marked these dates all down on :rolleyes1

Cheryl, pop on over to Yahoo (you might see Karen over there:lmao: ) and check out the "Who's Celebrating" link. No need to take notes. Just print it out.

Hmmmm.... sports and women....

I love to watch baseball and before the strike a few years back I was a huge hockey fan. I love to watch figure skating, gymnastics, and professional tennis ( I cut my teeth on the Connors / McEnroe rivalry).

I've been known to watch the Tour de France when it's televised and I love watching Olympic sports, although I find the coverage is better on CNBC or USA where you actually are allowed to watch the sport instead of those propoganda pieces on US athletes or the super-sugary feel-good human interest stories. They make me want to puke. :headache:

I miss Wide World of Sports... I used to watch that every Saturday when I was younger.

OMG how could I forget Figure Skating? That's probably my favorite to watch. Actually, any Olympic sport is a definite "must see" for me. I'll watch them all except wrestling. I think my dad ruined that for me because ever since I was a kid (not that long ago Jeff) I would watch All Star Wrestling with him. One time I ran out to get my dad and I was all in tears. :sad1: Mad-Dog Vachone and his brother the Butcher got beat up really bad. They were bleeding horribly. My dad was laughing at me and told me it was all fake! Huh?? :scared1: Say it isn't so!! I was devastated. :lmao:

I'm afraid we were always on opposite sides. You rooting for McEnroe, me for Borg, you for Sampras and me for Agassi (I saw him play a match in Montreal 5 years ago!!), and I am assuming you would root for the Cardinals over the Cubs! :scared1:

At least we can agree on dreamy Roger. ;) My niece thinks it so funny that I have a crush on him. She gave me a copy of Men's Vogue for my birthday this year because Annie Liebowitz did a shoot of he and Mirka at his home in Dubai. Talk about dreamy!!

Here I am my little Schnoogums!

(Brenda, thanks for sharing:thumbsup2 )

Cliff Richards sings on centre court?? :scared: How does something like that happen? Over here, all we ever hear about is tradition and decorum when it comes to Wimbledon. I would rather see one of your famous streakers!! :rolleyes1

AFEG - I order you to go read my latest update. Nancy said it was funnier than hell...not that I've been there yet to compare but when you all check it out this fall in Grand Cayman you can let me know.

Wine Diva - we'll just have to agree to disagree because I could never root for the Cubs. It would make my DNA explode. ;)

Nancy - I didn't want to embarrass you about the skating thing but I'm glad I was able to jog your memory. And I'll share AFEG with you... no one else!

So let me see if I have this right.

I load the tiller in the SUV early tomorrow morning.

Drive to Millagers for the mini-WI cruise meet.

Drive to Nancy's and till her garden.

Drive to Cheryl's and till/create her gardern.

Go with Cheryl to Red Robin.

Come home and finally get Suz' garden tilled.

Did I get that all correct?

I didn't know you worked near Bayshore. That must be quite a drive for you back and forth from Hartland with traffic what it is around here now.

23 miles one-way, but I don't take the freeway. I'm almost due west of my office. Amout 35 minutes - 45 if I drive during rush hour. You get use to the ride.

I would never live by my office - too cold. We are usually 10-15 degrees warmer out there. Plus it is quiet. Taxes are much less out there too.

Don't you have a 15-20 minute drive up from Muskego? I remember driving Racine Ave from the Rock Freeway and that alone to Hwy 59 is almost 10 minutes. Then to drive through Waukesha.

Suz is only abut 12 miles from her work and it is usually 20 minutes and that is on the county highways with 50+ mph speed limits.
