Just thought of one more thing.

I was wondering...how many of you women out there enjoy watching sports on TV as much as I do?

I absolutely love watching Football, Basketball, Baseball, and soccer. In that order. I will be the first one on the coach on any given Sunday and will watch every football game during the winter. That includes all NFL and even some college games. Although Chuck does not share my passion of football, he will watch tons of basketball games. When it comes to the Packers he is a "Fair Weather Fan". He'll watch the Packer games with all four kids and me but would rather putz around in the garage instead. (Weirdo )

I too like sports......I don't think I'm quite as into it as you (quoting stats with Jeff).....but I enjoy a good game! My favorite is football (GO STEELERS!! then baseball, hockey and basketball in that order. (I'm not sure why I never really like basketball). My favorite though is football.....a huge freak......I watch every chance I get, wearing my black and gold and waving my terrible towel!!

robin loves baseball. she used to come watch me play when we were dating. she also watches the browns. not so much the cavs. we watched a lot of basketball when our son was in school as he played.

MISSY!!!!So this is what you have been doing? I've been over here working my chubby fingers to death and you are getting ANOTHER page? I guess one of us needs to continue to get our work done so we don't both get fired. Then we couldn't go on the cruise!!!!

Cheryl - they monitor our internet usage too........oh well!!!! What kind of work do you do?

Missy I am an Ultrasound Technologist. The health care market has become VERY competitive in our area over the last couple of years and they really are watching our productivity so if they "notice" people are having alot of time to spend on the internet during their work day we are afraid we could loose another tech. Our patient volumes in the ultrasound dept. had gone down during the day about 2 years ago and they stayed down but the amount of times we were being called in in the evening had risen so they took one of our first shift positions and made it into a second shift position. Now our volumes are going back up and we now have 3 techs doing what 4 used to do so there really isn't much opportunity to spend time on the computer anyways. That's Ok because with the way the job market is around here I am happy to have a job (so that we can take all these wonderful vacations of course ) . The hospital I work at still really is a good place to work compared to what I hear about some of the other hospitals in the area so I shouldn't complain.

I understand completely.........That is the good and the bad thing about being in healthcare.......cycles come and go......right now, here in Virginia, the market is positive......but tomorrow who knows!!!

i am back to work next week. im meeting robin for lunch today. its a nice day. sunny 60s.
next weekend we are going down to dayton to visit our dd for her 20th birthday. shes in school down there. she wants to go to cincinati zoo for her bday.hoping for good weather.

Lori I enjoyed my rotation through radiation therapy when I was in ultrasound school but I wasn't sure if I would be able to handle watching some patients get sicker instead of better. My dad passed away from cancer when I was 14 and I just am not sure I would be able to work with cancer patients every day. You and Missy are 2 very special ladies working to help some very sick people get better

It's good to hear the market is good somewhere. We have cycles here too and not to long ago there was a great demand for techs in all areas of Radiology but now we are at a time where the market is saturated again. It's not just radiology but it seems all health care workers and it's throughout the state. One of my sister's is a nurse in northern WI and she just escaped a lay off not too long ago and her DD is a nurse in the middle of the state and jobs are tight there too. Again I am happy to have my job. I have worked where I am for the past 17 years so at least I have a lot of seniority!
