I would never say a degree is "nothing much". It is an accomplishment.

Are you looking to get into nursing? What is an AGS?
Well out her a AA or AGS really do not help you get a career. I agree that they are great accomplishments. An AGS is an associates of general studies. No I have no disire to go into nursing. That is something I thought would make my parents proud of me. After a year I figure out that I can not handle it because I get to attached to people.

So Jeff, explain this playing a lawyer on tv and dis thing.

Just a joke.

Do you remember back (wait, you are probably too young :rotfl: ) when they'd have commercials on and since real doctors can't do endorsements (well at least they couldn't back when this was on) you'd have a guy come on and say "I'm not a doctor but I play one on TV". Like that has any influence. :rotfl2:

I'm playing lawyer. So if you want the "actor's" advice on your medical needs, you can ask me your law issues. :rotfl2:

You don't have any questions, do you?

I thought about going on to law school way back when, but didn't want any more school. I probably would have gone into contract/corporate law. Now I'm too old. I really should have been an actuary. I've always been really good in Math. My dad was an engineer (computers) and so is my brother (production). It runs in the family. DS is really good in math as well.

Yes I remember seeing some of those commercials.

Boy that is a loaded question you are talking to someone that has married a guy that has a completly nuts ex wife and we have been in and out of court for roughly 4 years now and getting ready to go back again.

My father is a facilities engineer so I know how that whole thing goes. Being good at math myself my father always thought that was the career for me.

We have really good friends like that, but it isn't his ex, just a person he had a kid with. Bunch of crap and the courts let her get away with it.

Well Jeff it has been nice talking tonight but I think I am giving up. I need to actually be able to get up for work in the morning so I think I am going to head to bed. Have a good night. I will talk with everyone tomorrow afternoon sometime. :cloud9: :wave2:

I was just going to sign off myself. It is almost midnight here and I plan on getting up at 5:30. I'll be a zombie tomorrow.

Good night.

We now turn this station over to the UK DISers who will be joining us in the next hour or so.

Been there done that. As long as she is the mother she has all the rights. I find it absolutly funny that about a year and a half ago she took us to court to get full custody of the kids and won. Supposidly for the best interest of the kids. Well now the oldest is old enough to petition the court and she has decided that living with us is what is best for her. I just wish court did not cost so much money to keep going to. You know those lawyers. They just suck the money right out of you. :rotfl:

Kira wasn't sure about the cereal...I guess we will try again tomorrow and maybe she'll get the hang of it :)

Hey, I know...let's get Carrie a few drinks and then she can lead the meet :thumbsup2 :lmao:

Hmmm, I don't like straight tequila either...but I love margaritas  Never had a martini before :upsidedow

Well, another hour on the elliptical DONE! :scared: Only got 149 more until we leave for Florida :rotfl:

I think this is post number 100:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: pixiedust: party: :jumping1: :rainbow:

Well done!

Thats dedication:banana:

Let's actually talk about the cruise.

What day/island is everyone most looking forward too?

Mine I think would have to be Grand Cayman.

All of them cos they are all new to me, but if we get on the pirate ship an then seven mile beach then Gran Cayman sounds like a winner.

How many of you are looking forward to walking/relaxing on Deck 4? I've walked around it a couple of times, but never just sat on one of the comfy chairs and relaxed. DS wants to play shuffle board once this time.

Whats shuffle board?

Anyone planning any ship tours? Galley, Bridge or other?

We did the Bridge on our 3-nighter, pretty good. I'd like to do the Galley sometime, but don't want to give up my 2 precious days at sea. Maybe on the repo.

Some of the classes look cool too.

I like the idea of these, bridge and galley:thumbsup2 - how do you book them?

Karen, the white background on the ship is the same as the other lines but the photographer is always nice and patient and they usually give you idea for poses. Our fav pic was the pirate one of us with Rob on top of me. It was the photographers idea actually. It was funny, we were doing some poses and she said in her cute little accent..."do you want to get on top of her?" :lmao: Rob replies..."Heck yeah! But I thought this was a family cruise!" :scared1:  So, take your time, get several poses so you have lots to choose from! And if they are doing photopass this cruise, then even better! No wasted pics!

We did the DIS meet by the Mickey Pool at 3pm last cruise and it was MUCH better than our previous cruise at the sailaway party. There was too much going on at the sailaway!

But I think we should have a sort of "leader" of the party, someone very extroverted and isn't shy! Someone who can introduce people to get things started. For my last cruise we talked for months and months on the thread and then we all got there and everyone was too shy to really talk. I only got to speak to about 3 DISers, the rest kinda stayed in the shade watching everyone else. Talking via a keyboard and in person are two VERY different things...I know that I felt a little shy at first too. :guilty:

So...any volunteers?? (think Hauted Mansion! )

Thanks for the info Cass - I would be embarrassed having my photos took and crawling from one pose to another. Maybe we'll go on a less busy time when the spectators wont be so bad.

I too vote Jeff.... I know what you mean about it easy to chat via the keyboard. I'll be a bit shy to start with. We just need to make sure we all make the effort at the start and then we'll bump into each other during the week too.

Suz loves the frozen pie on a stick covered with chocolate.

The calories are creeping on at just the thought of that stick - yummy!:goodvibes

Jeff,

And I plan on being in the Quiet Cove hot tub every night around 11:30pm. :woohoo: My fave part of the cruise was soaking in that tub for 20 mins before dipping myself in that pool right before I go to bed!! THAT is VACATION to me

Oh my goodness - that sounds like bliss - make sure theres room for me too!

That would be addiction. I am at my FIL and posting. I can not get enough of this. All my down time I am spending reading about everybody. Hmmm. I might need to get a life. :lmao:

It happens to us all... I cant let a day go by without dipping in to see whats happening:rolleyes1

Thanks. I just went and picked up Chinese. With DS getting sick this afternoon, we figured it wasn't wise to go out. Don't know what would happen.

Hope he feels better today:hug:

Here's Kira having some cereal for the first time...

My light is never green.

I'm done cutting now. That's the thing that sucks about having a big yard, it takes forever to cut.

You call them Yards,we call what you have FIELDS:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl2:

PS...Has one never heard of a gardener?......:snooty:

I think this is post number 100:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:   :dance3: :cheer2: :cheer2: pixiedust: party: :jumping1: :rainbow:

Well done on your 100th post !:cool1: You will certainly be helping us stay on page one !:thumbsup2

Hello everyone!

But I think we should have a sort of "leader" of the party, someone very extroverted and isn't shy! Someone who can introduce people to get things started. For my last cruise we talked for months and months on the thread and then we all got there and everyone was too shy to really talk. I agree with the Mickey pool meet. We had a kind of leader ( MJ and her sister Sue) they were FAB! We were lucky we all chatted alot straight away. ( I chat of England, be warned ! :) ) There were honeymoon couple Kelly was very chatty on line, however very shy in real life. That was fine, we are all different. By the end of the cruise we all got on so well. It was only a 4 day cruise imagine a 7 nighter!

I have not done the galley on DIS since it was the Big Red Boat. But on all the other cruise lines all the tours have been open to all family members. I plan on getting at least 1 of our 3 to go on it. Most likly the 4 year old. She loves cooking.

I would love to do the Galley tour with Elouise (5yrs) How do you book this please? Maybe the kids will want to join us up ?

Hi all! Just thought I'd pop in quickly. Been extremely busy around here. Had Katie's 5th b'day party yesterday. We had this party so friends & family could celebrate as we'll be in WDW for her actual b'day next Sunday.

Happy Birthday Katie

Mrs lush it will be my pleasure dear.....

Thanks for keeping tabs on this, its fun...................... and Im in for a free drink from Chris, :) unless he gets posting ALOT more

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Yikes will he see this as a challenge??

Nancy, seeing you are the lady with the "list" can you just confirm that before Oct we will be able to download or print a copy of all the DIS tag players.

I am trying to think of a small gift that travels well, and I thought if we had names etc and maybe ages of the kids it would help me draw up a list of ideas !

I was going to give out $100 notes, but Jeffs already said he is doing that ! :sad2:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
