Lindy Loo,

I am the one who posted originally on the main board about Key West Winery. I work at a wine shop and I had some customers tell me about it. They were raving about it. Now, I consider myself slightly knowledgable about wine, my mom calls me a wine snob--I prefer wine diva! :) This winery apparently makes all their wine without using any grapes. So, I am going into it not thinking of it as "wine" but as a cocktail--think cosmopolitans or something else fruity. I am especially wanting to try the sparkling tangerine. I will definitely be dragging my family there. Just a heads up: they will not be able to ship any home for you--it's illegal in Florida  Cheers!

Sounds delicious :goodvibes

Thanks Victoria...well if we cant ship it or take it home... we will have to drink it then !!!:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Sparkling tangerine.... emmmm Im on a diet, but I guess that counts as one of the five a day the goverment says you should have ! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
sorry you guys over the pond, I'll explain... there is a government campaign to eat healthy.... and they recommend to eat 5 fruits and vegs a day... so surely tangerine is a fruit... im ok :confused3 :)

Nice try Lindy, but I dont htink it would count somehow:lmao:

HEY JEFF!!!

Ask Suz if she wants to book it with us....
Karen, Paige, Nancy, Hazel, Cass, Heather and our own private wine diva Victoria.... do we want to make it a date?:confused3

any one know what day its on and when???
Can we pre book or do we do it on board.

wouldnt it be fun to try and arrange our OWN private wine tasting session......:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Count me in:yay: - I'm up for wine tasting.

Cheryl - That Key Lime thingy with the chocolate sounds super yummy! Might have to see if I can try one of those. Where did you find that?

QUOTE]

We got this at the Blond Giraffe, they have a couple locations on Key West. The one we went to was near a stop for the Old Town Trolley and was at 802Duval Street they also have one at 107 Simonton Street which is their factory and store, 1209 Truman Ave and thier web site says they have one coming soon to Greene St. which isn't too far from the pier http://www.blondgiraffe.com/index.htm

Thanks for the link:thumbsup2

Karen Keeping you and your sister in my thoughts and prayers! pixiedust: pixiedust: :grouphug:

Thank you - results tomorrow or thurs

Sorry Kaitie, but DCL will strictly hold this to 21 years and older.

Never mind Kaitie.

I'm only just old enough;) :lmao: :lmao:

Count me in!!!! I am trying to think of the ladies on this thread....I remembered all the ones you mentioned, and then there's Rose, Di, Robin, Tina, Abby, Cathy(Sean's DW), Cheryl, who else?????:yay:

Yes sorry if I "forgot" anyone, it wasnt intentional at all, I just typed the first few names that sprang to mind! ....................... em wonder why I remembered Karen:confused3 .... cos she's often enjoying a glass or bottle of wine !!!:rotfl2:

As for the winery on Key West......fruity wine is very tasty! Have you ever had blackberry wine? Yummy!:)

I havent tried blackberry wine before.... sounds good...... will def try in Oct:thumbsup2

Brenda--Stop thinking and come with us!! Go for broke! I know, I know, easy for me to say. You will be sooo missed my friend!

Couldnt have put it better myself Paige !!! Come on Brneda hows the lottery tickets going!

I asked Suz and she said she'd be in.

When I was talking to DCL tonight, I asked if a special event could be booked for this group.

They said "yes". The CM gave me an email address to send a request to. So if anyone is interested in putting a special wine tasting together, the email address is DCLFunctionRequests@email.disney.com.

Not sure if Chris would have better luck being Concierge or not.

The other option would be to go to the Guest Relations desk as soon as you board and get tickets to one of the events.

Im happy to try and arrange this, though I do agree that Chris may have better luck..... being concierge.... Perhaps I could e mail and arrange on the pretense of being his "secretary" !!!!!!!

Watch out Chris I might have to sit on your lap to take dictation ! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am going to E mail Disney to TRY and arrange a private wine tasting session. PLEASE can you PM me by Mon 7th May with names.

I'm up for Wine Tasting or Margarita tasting.

Lindy - put me down for wine tasting please:cool1:

Elouise looks brilliant - I wish they did a pirate or something version of this for the boys. Ellis is going to "build his own lightsaber" at DTD, but its not quite the same.

Just got back from the trip from hell with the school. Geez!:sad2: - as usual I had more kids than any other mom, and one that can only be described as a pain in the *ss. There was a hedge maze there, All 7 kids were instructed to stay together - they all did except for this one - he went bolting off in the wrong direction then got himself completely lost in the middle and couldnt find his way back to us.:sad2: When we did finally find him he'd managed to lose his lunch bag:sad2: . I cut my losses and ended up buying him lunch in the cafe - I was not prepared to go back into that maze again - I'd probably end up losing him all over again. He just wouldnt stay close. I must have told him off about 30 times. In the end I had to hold his hand the whole way round the park and not let him go. He's 6! - all the others were golden, but he could test the patience of a saint. I tried explaining, talking gently, shouting etc etc etc but it was like the "lights were on but no-ones home" sort of scenario - no expression in his face at all, no acknowledgement that you're even talking to him:confused3 . I know there is nothing wrong with him ability or mentally etc. Oh well, 4 anadin later I'm fine. I have 10 minutes turn around before swimming club now:rolleyes: , then the mortgage guy is coming after dinner this evening, then its back to packing boxes til bedtime.

I bought 50m of bubble wrap yesterday:rotfl: - that will last about 5 minutes, the amount of ornmaments I have.:rotfl:

We finally finished packing the WDCC into their boxes late last night - over 300 wdcc boxes later they are now all stacked up in the dining room:rolleyes:

gotta go...swimming time

what a cute pic!!!:cutie: :cutie: :cutie:
we have never done this when we are there but now i'm very tempted!! Are you guys saying that they are now doing it in MK at the castle? Julia would be blowed away!!!princess:

Good morning/ afternoon/ evening everyone!

Linda--Beautiful pics! She is at the perfect age for princess stuff. I hope you get to take in every moment of that!:goodvibes

Karen--what is WDCC? I am keeping fingers crossed for you that all your packing goes smoothly. When we move in June, it won't be too much packing, as the gov't hires movers for that, but the unpacking in the next house is where the work really begins for me.

Ok, everybody, I guess I will get my day started. I hurt my knee on the treadmill yesterday (it was hurt prior and I thought it was healed so I started a harder workout-:headache: ) so I am off to find a "knee brace". And it's my turn to provide snacks for Derek's game tonight, so I have to get to Costco this morning. Gotta love Costco! (For our UK friends--Costco is a wholesale company where you buy a membership and get to go and buy in bulk.)

Chris, Jeff, Brenda, Nancy, where are you guys this morning? Hope all are well.:goodvibes

Hi Paige

WDCC is Walt Disney Classics Collection. Its a huge collection of figures and figurines. I started collecting in 1993 - i have around 300 of them. The cheapest around $60, the dearest approx $3000:eek:, hence I dont want the removal guys touching them:scared1: I dont move til June either, but I started packing cos we have sooooo much stuff - its taken Neil and I 3 days and nights just to put the figurines back in their boxes. I dont fancy the task of getting them out at the new house either.

On top of that I probably have about 100-150 other disney figures that have no boxes hence the bubble wrap!:lmao: I start on these tonight once the mortgage guy has been.

Hope your knee gets better soon... - dont over do it or you could make it worse.. take it easy, drink wine and eat chocolate instead:goodvibes ;) - take care

Just checked quick from work and we were in danger of being on page 2, so I had to post just to bump us.
Everyone must be busy today.

Wow! Where do you put them all!?! You should post pics some time. It sounds like an impressive collection, for sure!:)

Thanks, Karen!

I bought one of those "sleeve" braces and I stayed off the treadmill today. I just worked with weights (not much weight on leg exercises). Wine and chocolate sounds great to me! That is what I plan after getting home tonight from yet another baseball game. :cloud9:

Please let us know when you hear anything from your sister. :grouphug: for both of you (and your family).

Thank you:hug: - You'll all be the first to know if I'm a match.

We've just had the mortgage man round this evening - a friend of ours so we've ended up celebrating signing our life away to a $700k house - 2 bottles of wine and 4 beers:eek: - It will help me sleep tonight without waking up or dreaming of packing boxes, school places or nasty injections, and hospitals:rolleyes: - cant remember the last time I had a nights sleep:eek: - probably way back in November:confused3 - just count the wrinkles on my face - that will tell you how long its been or how old I am:rotfl: - 101 :rotfl:

I dont mind...if I'm a match I'll stay awake for a month if it makes her better. Fingers, toes and even eyes are crossed tonight:goodvibes

Goodnight everybody:wave2: - sweet dreams

Oh - forgot to say - Neil told me to gloat to Chris and Lindy that Blues are back in the pemiership:goodvibes

He'll see you next season (or something like that:confused3 )

Can you tell I'm not into football:lmao:
