Have you noticed that when the boards are down and you can't post that you feel strangely DISconnected???


Anyway, now that the 6-hour glitch appears to have been fixed (for now) I just thought I'd say hello to anyone who hasn't completely given up on this site today.

Yes I noticed that too. I was going through DIS withdrawals.

I think they still have problems. When you post a message, you will see an error message. The system can't find the usual notices when you post. Bet the system will be down again tonight.

I noticed that, too - the last time I posted a message I got a weird message response... can't find postthanks....

Guess I'll hold off any updates until the bugs are worked out. I need to exercise anyway!

HI Konked Kruisers!!

I am finally back home in Monterey.

Karen, my prayers are with your sister. Keep it positive, as that makes all the difference in the world. Here's hoping that her recovery is quick, definite, and as painless as possible. Medical science gets better and better every minute, so never lose hope.

On that note, I just want to thank you all again for all the kind words you all have sent my way concerning my dad. He had his surgery on Thursday, and was home in his recliner on Monday. Amazing! His doctor was awesome! Of course he gets lots of practice since soooo many people in Louisiana suffer from heart disease. The food's great in Cajun Country, but it is soooo not healthy!

I am so glad to be back at my house! and back on the DIS!!

Hope you are all doing well this evening.....and can we make a rule? NO ONE ELSE CAN CANCEL THIS CRUISE!!

Had a good day today, even though it was cold and I have a cold. Rick and I went to The Museum of Childhood and looked at all the toys in the exhibition. We went from display to display saying "I had one of those!" or "I remember them", etc, etc.

Heather, that's so funny. I just sent an email to my sister about some toy we used to have as kids. I just ran across it on ebay, and sent her the link. My subject line to her was "remember this?"

We just booked our first cruise, on Magic, Oct 20, 2007.
Been reading the passporter, and the anticipation is overwhelming.

Hope to meet some of you there.

Yay Paige! Welcome home. The news about your dad sounds great! Can't believe he's back home already.

Went to our local mall tonight. Found out they're opening up a Build A Bear Workshop. My Katie is just so excited! How fun. I absolutely love teddy bears. My DH would say I'm quite crazy about them actually! Oh well, we all need a hobby!

Besides, I've got skating to watch for the next three days!!

Tina, did you know that Build-A-Bear was started by a woman here in St. Louis? The business has been growing like crazy - they even have one in the new Busch Stadium so parents are trapped into spending money there, too!

I love all the different outfits they have for the animals.

She was inducted into the US Business Hall of Fame last year here in Milwaukee. She sent bears to each of the other inductees (sp?) - the 2 guys from Home Depot, Herb Kohler from the Kohler Comp (bathroom fixtures) and the guy who owns the Dolphins (started Waste Management among other companies - 2 or 3 other Fortune 500 companies) - themed for their businesses.

Sorry I haven't been around. I've had a few personal setbacks in the past week and I'm trying to go easy on myself and get back to normal a bit.
I am going to try to keep a positive outlook and soon I'll be back on the exercise routine and Karen...you're still my exercise idol!!!!

Tina we have build a bear in England too! Elouise has a bear, she had it from my works when she was born. They are so cute , and gosh cant you spend alot on the outfits ! yikes !
