Should not have had that cafe mocha at 8PM...now I can't sleep and tomorrow is not going to be a good day at work. Actually, since this is the last week of the first quarter of 2007, I can guarantee that this entire week is going to blow.

Where have all the Brits disappeared to? Come on...let us know that you're all OK.

And AFEG...weren't you supposed to be back on Friday? Do I have to get out my time machine and travel backwards to find you? ;)

Wow how busy this thread has been, and what GREAT stories, this is soooo much fun!

Paige... as Karen said you could re new vows on the Magic.... That could be romantic and you have a cruise and a BIG party, with all us guys.
I'll be pushing and shoving Karen so we could both be bridgemaids!
( sorry Karen, but Ive never been a bridesmaid, so "all's fair in love and war!":) )

Rose..... i ve always said you can choose your friends you cant choose your family ! Luckily i have wonderful parents who have been married for over 42 yrs. Im an only child, and we are close, they are my " safety net" in life.
Sean sounds wonderful, you are taking things slow, that sounds good, enjoy very moment, and allow your son to adjust. The cruise will give you all great bonding and memories.

Nancy. We dont really have that many Easter traditions. Thought this year we are off to Devon with Friends. We are staying in Devon Cliffs, which is a static caravan park with a wonderful spa! (Which is why Sam and I wanted to go there!) We will be traveling early Good Friday, and going to a small family theme park for the day. Saturday we will chill, let the kids go swimming in the indoor pool ( Boys to go kart with kids, me and Sa 3 hour spa treatment booked :) ) Sunday Easter egg hunt, Sunday pub lunch and then Sam and I have massages booked, while boys and kids play in football comp. Evening will be at club family disco/games. Sure the aracades will be found too ! Easter Monday we will rela and trave l home mon night, unless weather is nice, then we might extend the break at a B & B for a couple more nights.
I LOVE the photos, how funny. Elouise last year was an Easter Bunny it so soooo funny, I will try and find photos.

Loving all the " how we met" stories, :thumbsup2
Steve, wow that was some trip, very romantic.
Karen, love the fact it was a holiday romance that lasted!

CHRIS where are you ???? We need to know how you and Hazel met!

Hey, if I smell of Angel perfume, then Wayne might be getting a "Karen" ;) or we might be tidying the room....:rotfl: :rotfl: but we are married so I doubt we will :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Brenda, I've pmed you.................. sure you can use our photo of the 4 of us, at the Grand Floridian. I would love to see it ............. that was a lovely hour or so, sipping those lovely cocktails:)

Sadly, unless one of us wins big on the lottery, we will have to plan another meet up and pin swop..... ( would rather you guys get on the cruise :) )

Good morning everyone

Since last week when I first registered I have not been able to get back on.....whenever I tried to post some crazy messages came up. So I have not been ignoring you guys, just able to read. In respond to someone that asked about who was cruising, it's my husband, Mark, myself, Janice,
Bryce 12, Mackenzie 8. Everyone is as excited as the next. So we are welcome to anyone's advice, since this is our first cruise.

Happy Sunday

I know I welcomed the 'dizneycrazy4' family but I don't recall seeing the update they sent back. Must have gotten lost in the chatter of the Americans this weekend.

We are here to serve and steer you in the right direction for your first cruise.:drive: If you'd like to join our Yahoo group ( a secure site for just us) please PM (private message) either myself or Brenda (Oybolshoi) with your email address and we will send you and invitation.:thumbsup2

Linda, great bunny picture of E. I wonder if those costumes come in adult sizes??:lmao: Do you know where I can find four of them in a hurry??:rotfl2:

So I just tried the search feature of our thread and just plugged in my own screen name just to see what would happen.

There is a thread posted with 4 DISers wishing me a Happy Birthday! I'm all freaked out now because I have no idea who they are or how they knew my B-day was 1/29.

I noticed one of them was online so I sent off a quick PM. I can't wait to hear from her now....I'm intrigued!:confused3

Oh sure, next you're going to tell me MM isn't real. Thanks a lot Brenda. :rotfl2:

What about the tooth fairy - she should be visiting our house soon

I didn't say anything. You are the one thinking that way. I just pointed out what you wrote. Now you start calling me names. Where's the love? :sad1:

  - heres the love Jeff:love2:

I guess here's another "bar" meeting. Chuck and I met in a bar on one of the saddest days in American history. Make that world history. We met on 8-16-77 the day Elvis died. I was a HUGE Elvis fan and was very sad when he passed. I had to work that night and Chuck was one of my customers. He spilled his drink on the table and I had to clean it up. He then ordered another and I asked him: "Where do you want it"? "In the glass or on the table again." ("IT" meaning the drink Jeff, not what you're thinking). He said "On the table". So I dumped it on the table for him. I guess he loved my spunk from the beginning. Now almost 30 years later and still in love!!

Ahhhh - lovely

(Pssst...Jeff, I think we ALL know where the LOVE was that week):lmao:

:rolleyes1 - I'm saying nothing;)

JLDSMD; On this cruise we'll just say we're going to "Karen". :lmao: [SIZE="1" said:
(We're just teasing with you Karen. We're all getting silly.)[/SIZE]

For you, my wonderful and demanding public, I have managed to post an update that encompasses something like two hours of the entire afternoon of October 22nd.

I hope it meets with your approval - thanks again for reading and for your wonderful comments...you guys inspire me! :flower3: :flower3: :flower3:

About time:rolleyes1 - skating finally finished did it?

I wonder how many of the guys on this thread (ahem, all four of them) will pop over to Cass's site to check out your picture and your b**bs!!:lmao: :lmao:

Cute story Robin!!:rotfl2:

I was just thinking that too!

I'm loving the "How you met your mate stories!" I guess I chime in with ours. Especially since it indirectly relates to why I want to take this cruise in the first place.

My brother and I took a short 4 night cruise on a Norwiegan ship to Baja Mexico. We really enjoyed ourselves and vowed to do it again soon. Then about a year later the same cruise line was sponsoring a Christian Singles cruise to Baja. I convinced two of my brothers to go with me this time as well as a group of people from my church. One of my friends also invited a couple of friends from another church to with her. When I met them at the gate, I was very impressed with Laura (my future wife) while she looked at me, dissaproving of my best Garth Brooks style black cowboy hat. Here was the problem. I was dating someone at the time and while I had been planning to break it off, I had not yet done so. As a result, I did not feel free to agressively pursue her. I did try to engage her in conversation at every opportunity though. Funny thing, often she would pose very odd physics based questions to me. I answered the questions to the best of my abilities not realizing that she was testing me! Turns out that she always liked the way that her Father knew the answer to almost any question posed. Laura wanted that type of man to be the father of her children. On Catalina Island we did get a bit of time together and I found that not only was she very attractive, but we had a great deal in common together. After that cruise, I told myself that once I was again a free-man, I would call her for a date.

About a month later, we had a Cruise Reunion Party and I planned to ask her out then. Laura, however, had spent most of the month wondering why I never called her. (I was in the dog house already and we hadn't even gone out yet.) She did, however, graciously accept my invitation to a movie.

Fast-Forward aproximately one year. Laura had a Dental Convention to attend in Anaheim. She would be gone for a week. I acted very depressed that she would be gone for so long, while secretly excited beyond measure. I asked Laura's co-workers to have lunch at a specific restaurant at a specific time on one of their free days. They were spending that day on Catalina. Once she was out of town, I arranged dinner with her parents and formally asked for permission to marry her. I, then, spent a marathon day combing Modesto for a wedding ring. My travel agent arranged a flight, rental car, and the ferry to the Island.

I built in a time buffer so that I should arrive at the restaurant about 2 hours early. Good thing that I did. The flight was right on time and I slid behind the wheel of my rental car in record time. I even made good time cutting through the LA traffic. But once I arrived at the port, I was informed that my ferry was cancelled due to engine difficulties. Rest assured, though there will be another ferry along shortly. There goes my buffer. I wait about two hours for the next ferry and then was told that it dropped it's prop and was dead in the water. Now some serious depression was settling in. Stupidly, I hadn't bothered to find out what hotel they were staying in so I could not surprise her there. I would have to go back home, wait until she came home and then spring the question. Pacing at the port I came upon a helicopter service to the island. And miraculously, they had one spot left on the next flight. I bought it and was soon on my way. I now had no margin of error. I had the pilot call ahead and have a taxi waiting for me when we landed. Then came my next surprise, there was two restaurants on the island with the same name and they were both near the water. I would need to check both out. Sure enough it was the second one and I made it just in time to ask my wonderful wife to marry me. The next day was another free day for her and we spent our first engaged day in Disneyland. .

Wow - how romantic! - my hubby needs lessons

What about the tooth fairy - she should be visiting our house soon.

That darn fairy already bled me dry. DS lost most of his baby teeth already.

He just turned 7 and they have him in braces.

If I see the fairy again, I may have to shoot. :rotfl2:

Yeah, DS seemed to excel in getting teeth and walking. First teeth at 3 1/2 months, crawling at 6 months, walking at 9. Just wish he'd start growing now. He's average for height (48") but only 16% for weight (45# - or is that 3 stones?).

He started losing his teeth I think by 4. All the bottom front were out and all but one came in, so they all shifted to that spot. So his center line is off, hence the lower braces. The upper, we're still waiting for one to fall. They took an X-ray earlier this month and it isn't 100% developed, so they won't go fish it out yet. He still wears his retainer, but I think that is gone next month and will be back when the braces come off. Now he still has a couple of baby teeth. They actually have the wire anchored on the baby teeth.

The dentist told us last year (March '06) that he will need braces later on. We told his Pediatrician and she said they can do them at his age. We asked the Dentist and he said he actually started his kids that early. So, he referred us to an Ortho and got him started.

It is easier at this age because they will use the retainer to widen the mouth so the teeth don't have to get pulled. Their pallets are still growing or something like that.

Plus, at this age, you are the cool kid because you have braces. You know how 1st graders are.
