do you have to drive into DC?

Goodness no! My DH drives near it, but I chose to stick ALOT closer to home for work! Pay is alot less, but I'd rather not commute! For him, it's about a 45 minute drive each way, for me, about 5 minutes!

I wish I worked a little closer to home, but I commute with my boss so that is pretty cool. I love y job and work with really great people. i kno't want to give that up!!! Actually I'm coming on the cruise with one of my co-workers!! I'm heading off to bed. Goodnite!! Talk soon!!!

I totally agree Cheryl, we too wish we'd bought it sooner. We joined after our DCL cruise in 2000. Do you go to the DVC meets on board? They're a fun way to hear any latest DVC news.

We went to the DVC meet on the Magic last Oct. It was a nice gathering and we "won" a nice bag.

I see you own at Vero Beach. We are staying at VB for 3 nights in June in a 1 bedroom Do you have any tips for us on things to do/see while at Vero? Have you ever stayed in a 1 bedroom there? It seems like a lot of people are fans of the ocean view inn rooms at VB.

So now I'm interested. I'm not a wine drinker but if there was a beer drinking contest, ooops, I mean Beer Tasting, I might belly up to the bar and join the boys. I also talked to my girls last night and they would be open to the Margarita Tasting, as would I. I wonder if they are all held in the same place at the same time. Cheryl? Jeff? Can you bust out a navigator and check for us please?

I am a little scared though. All that alcohol and all those KK's in one room? That would be one heck of a DISmeet wouldn't it?

BTW..we still haven't decided on our first DISmeet yet have we? Or, how we will identify ourselves in the Port on the 20th. Anyone know how to do a "Poll" on our thread?

Nancy I'm not a beer drinker but I would be interested in the Margarita Tasting. (I know, I know what kind of Wisconsinite that lives so close to Milwaukee am I what am I saying I am not much of a drinker period. What kind of inflyence are you people on me here I am signing up for wine tasting and maybe Margarita tasting ) I checked my Navigators and both the wine and Margatrita tasting were at 2:00 on both Mon. and Thur. last Oct. so maybe we could do one on one day and the other on the other day.

My Little moo moo has done it again,Rosie went away on Friday to play in britains biggest girls footie competition with over 200 teams involved and due to other commitments i was unable to go with her and as they were only going "to take part" it was no big deal....yes you guessed it THEY ONLY WENT AND WON THE BLOODY THINGUNDER 12'S

Cass we're at the Country Inn & Suites the 19th, not sure if anyone else is It does seem alot of us are staying at the port that night now maybe we could have a mini meet somewhere in the area.

Ok I have seen a few people talk about a beer mug. What is this? Is it something you bring from home, or is it something Disney? My DH drinks beer so this peeks my interest.

OMG!!!!!!! I finally got it to work!!!!

So how long did it take you. I did mine on Sunday and it took me 2 hours to get it to work. I am sure if I asked one of my kids to do it, it would of happend alot quicker.

We're traveling with a boy who will be 9 at the time and may want to move up depending on the friends he makes on here before we leave.

We are trying to find out if our DD who will be 12 almost 13 can move up. However our DS will be 11 when we travel. Maybe they will meet each other.

I think we might be too! - I put a thread on the main cruise bit asking would they travel don the morning or night before cos of the launch - most said the night before

Hi all!! I was away for the weekend and you guys are hard to catch up on!!!
We are still planning on driving to the port of Sat morning. Is anyone else still going to try to do that? I'm getting a little nervous now.

We're travelling down to the port on Saturday as well.

Does everyone have vacation plans for the summer? Or are most of you just waiting for the cruise?

Don't won't to rub it in but we're off in less than 2 weeks. Well 11 days actually.

We're NOT DVC owners but stayed at Vero last October for 2 nights. Suz was sick so didn't get a chance to go around much (the inside of the room was really nice though for her). DS and I spent most of the day in the pool and playing mini-golf (buy the all day pass). The mini-golf isn't like Pirate's Cove or anything like that, but it was fun for DS who was 6.

The room was pretty big (we had just the studio) and we faced the pool, so had an ocean view as well. We were originally going to have ocean front, but the room would have been right next to the Green Cabin Room and a band was playing there that weekend.

I know the people who had non-oceanview rooms wanted to switch, but they were sold out. I would definitely book OV again if we went (I wanted to go the Saturday night after we got off the boat, but Suz wants to come right home ).

They have a campfire and sing-a-long and smores making in the evening on the weekends. It was on the north side of the complex.

All in all, we liked it and will probably get back there again some time.
