I thought you were just off for a hurt back? Tell your dad he is sooooo funny. We are actually about 2-3 hrs away from you. Have you ever come to the Dells?

Karen...........I have no words for what you must be going through, at least no words that can be printed here! Geez, what @sses they are! Here's hoping someone better and richer comes along to buy your house.:thumbsup2

you're 2nd on my list:scared1: ;)

Well, then I guess it is a good thing I'm not on the boat with you. :scared1:

And to think I would have had dinner with you. I'd have to have a food tester. Wait, that could be Suz. If you poisoned the food and she tests it, no big deal. :lmao:

Karen, and my other UK friends,

I was wondering, would it be against the law for you to request a non-refundable deposit with an offer? Granted it is not common practice, but each contract is different. If they know going in, you will only get serious buyers. You won't see an offer unless there is $ with it.

Just a thought. Not sure how that would go over, over there. You could start a new movement. :thumbsup2

Heather, you're 1 away from 200.
Thanks - this should make 200.

I just have to clear the days off at work and then I and my family will be booking the Oct 20th cruise. It will be me Lisa, hubby Mark, daughters Caitlin (18) and Emilee (16). Debating between a cat three or 6.

Welcome, welcome, welcome.

Not trying to get anyone's hopes up because these things always change, but did anyone look at this website?

http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/shuttle/shuttlemissions/sts120/index.html

Looks like the Shuttle Discovery is set to launch on they day you set sail. Might be slow go to the coast that morning for those flying in the day of or coming from WDW.

Ooo, keep my fingers crossed. This trip is getting better and better. Last launch we saw was when Buzz Aldrin went on a shuttle trip.

Good morning everybody,
i have a question!! on this cruise will it be cheaper to get a nice ring and a good watch on any of the island stops?

Should be able to find something in Cozamel.

Heather.... where are you ???;)

I'm here now. Bit late I know, but I had a very busy day today at work. In a meeting all day, with only 25mins for lunch

Anyway, I'm here now.

Heather

Here's a question for everyone,

What is the earliest you've ever taken a flight after a cruise?

I have a co-worker going on a cruise and they are looking at booking an 11:02 a.m. flight. I remember from my past experience that we can get off the boat pretty quickly and it doesn't take long to get to MCO, however, I know DCL tells you nothing before 12:30. I remember us getting all the way to WDW by a little after 9:00 a.m. I'd hate to tell them they'd be o.k. and then find it is too close. Just looking for some of your first hand experiences.

They are looking at renting a car, but I'm thinking they'd be better off spending $50 more and hiring a driver so they can save 15 minutes or more screwing around getting to Avis or Budget, not to mention the time to drop it off.

Thanks.

our first cruise in 2001 aboard the disney wonder we were lucky enough to see the space shuttle take off. we watched from the deck of the ship the morning we returned. it was a nice bonus and we got some great video

You'd be better asking on the main boards rather than our thread. You're bound to get a few replies. The driver idea is good, also a porter apparantly whizzes you through nice and quick too, so that could save your friend a few vital minutes.

He could get up with us Brits at the crack of dawn and he'd befront of the line, or just ask the Captain for a fat pass!:lmao:

Bye for now folks.:grouphug:

Yeah, I tried looking on the main thread, but I saw none of those posts. They use to be up there all the time. Not sure if the Mods took them down. I'd try searching, but that is just a joke now. You'd think it would be in the FAQ section, but nope. I'd hate to ask if no one is or they aren't allowing those any more. I figured I was among friends here, so no one would give smart a$$ responses (but then again, with this group, I think that's all we give :lmao: )

BTW, from experience, yes a porter does get you through right away. We've always used one and will continue to. They take all our stuff (well all Suz stuff) right out to the curb. Tip them pretty good and you're on your way. Best money spent on the trip.

i was sooo embarsed when we g ot off the cruise ship we had to get off early soo we could get our flight at 8:00 when we wounldn't usally get off till 8:30:confused:

You had an 8:00 a.m. flight?

That's pushing it. The doors don't usually open until 7:45.

Do any of you know about Military/Florida Residents discount codes for cruises? I read that they come out a few months before the cruise and you just call your TA or DCL directly to get the discount. Sound right?

I have heard of FL discounts and I believe they have Military as well (I think someone on one of my prior cruises went using that). I'm not sure when they come out though. I don't know if you will be inside the cancellation time where you could rebook. Also, not sure if they will adjust the price down for you. I thought that is what happened in the case of the person on my prior cruise. I'm not 100% sure, so don't quote me on it. Best to call DCL directly.

Where is everyone? :confused3

I know our UK friends are sleeping, but where are the US DISers?

Evening everyone!

I'm supposed to be shopping for Katie's b'day party supplies, but I thought I'd pop in here first.

Karen - so sorry to hear about the buyer backing out. Last summer, my parents were selling their house, and the buyers did the same thing. Just backed out for no good reason. My parents were sooooo angry. They did keep the earnest money, though the buyers balked at that. Too bad! It did finally work out for them, and it will for you too. Something better will happen! Here's some more dust stuff for you. :wizard:

Steve - nice to see you dropping by. How's the potty training going? Ours is not so good. Sam's so stubborn, and she knows it! Little stinker!

My DH will just flip out if there's a shuttle launch on our sail date. I don't think I'll even mention it til we get closer. Have to make sure we're on the earliest bus out to the ship from the Poly.

Hi Jeff! Are things calmer for you now that tax season is over?

Hi Tina,

Yes thing are starting to calm down. I'm just trying to clean up what I didn't do at my regular job. Hopefully be the end of the week I'll be back on track.

I would definitely not tell your husband about the shuttle until we get much closer. There is a very good chance it will get pushed back. It is 6 months from now.

Jeff

Cleared the days off at work. Woo Hoo! Now just debating on Cat 6 or 3. What cat is everyone else in???
