October 2021 Car Rental Thread

I have my intermediate SUV down to $376 all in, for 8 days mid October, booked with Avis through Costco. Still higher than years past, but about $100 less than where I started.
I have rebooked this twice since yesterday. Down to $338 for Int SUV for 8 days.

Just popping in, I am leaving Sunday and I finding cheaper rates at the big names website, than I am through Costco, in case anyone wants to double check their rates.

In FL now, picked up from MCO on Wednesday, lots of choices in the Emerald Aisle at National. I booked a standard car and drove out with a Chevy Equinox. There were also a couple Nissan Rouges, Nissan Kick, Toyota 4Runner and assorted sedans.

Thanks for reporting back on what was available. Did you happen to notice if they had any minivans? Enjoy your vacation!

Home now, flew back yesterday. There were not any minivans on either the Emerald Aisle or the Executive Aisle. MCO is probably about the only airport where if you want a minivan you have to book a minivan. They had a whole aisle of just those.

squeezing in a relatively last minute trip for a week starting sunday. Going with AAA rate on midsize via thrifty. banking on using their reward checkin in garage Vs terminal.

As a bonus trip didn’t want to spend a fortune. $145 fits the bill. It beat hertz by $80 & Avis by $130. have only rented from thrifty a few times, cars weren’t exactly pristine. hopefully, will be serviceable lol

As usual, will keep checking up to the day prior

Heading down Oct 27 and just got a minivan from Alamo for $507 which I originally had for $714. Then got a fullsized suv for $603 which I thought was very good. I´m much happier now. Usually the prices drops 2 weeks out, this time I didn´t see them drop till tonight, a week out.
