I also love those shirts, why have I never thought of putting something up by the collar? I've done the sleeves...genius!Thanks!!
Well I hope you get better. I just came down with the flu of course after I got the shot.... Been sick for 3 days... I still have to get DD20's costume... She's been lagging and now it's less than 2 weeks and the day we were going to go shop I got sick... Figures... Oh well all will work out in the end.I am sooo not ready. I've been sick for weeks and can't shake the last of it. I'm way behind on laundry and getting things together for the trip. It doesn't help that we are juggling one vehicle while it fakes FOREVER for our truck to get fixed from my husband's accident. Hopefully we will have it back before I leave! Otherwise getting to the airport will be expensive.
Oh, feel better soon! That stinks!Well I hope you get better. I just came down with the flu of course after I got the shot.... Been sick for 3 days... I still have to get DD20's costume... Hair brushes... unless you want a fairy one for $8 at the mini-mart... extra socks. We pack double, because I can't stand wet socks after a ride... extra batteries for your camera ($8 for a 4-pack of Rayovac in the parks :-/ )... toothbrushes! Like $3 at the mini mart if you forget them....We leave Sunday morning. So much stuff to do! Packing distractions for the kids on the flight... packing distractions for me on the flight... remember the glow bracelets for WoC waits... don't forget our park tickets... making sure everyone remembered to pack underwear... SO MUCH.
What am I forgetting?
WHAT AM I FORGETTING??? THIS IS NOT A RHETORICAL QUESTION!
I love this! We were originally planning to surprise our 5 kids (they thought we were just going to a wedding in San Diego, but that's not all!) and DH got excited and said, "what do you want to do in California?" To every answer (the beach? ummm Legoland? PLEAASE Disneyland??) he just said "Okay!" so now they're all asking daily and packing will be a nightmare, but I'm AMPED! Have a fantastic first trip back home!!First time back to Disneyland since moving from Northern CA to TX and I can.not.wait until Monday when we leave! If time could just slow down for us now that its here that would be great! Let the madness of packing with two excited kids this weekend begin! 2 days! Two.DAYS!![]()
In one week from now (like, literally, 168 hours), I will be waking up, getting ready, and packing my last few things, and heading to the airport.
While the basics have been packed for weeks, I still have to pack clothes.... And make 2 parts of my costume.
This last week was a bear--tweenager attitude drama non-stop, extra meetings at work for hubby, best friend's mom in ICU after extensive bypass (quintuple--no idea they could do that!), oldest daughter's early pregnancy worries (baby is healthy; it's daughter's first pregnancy and she's nervous about things), hubby has been sick (and he's a whiny sick person!), coworker argued about nearly every comment someone made (kind of on par with my tweenager this week!)... So, I'm ready for a little solo jaunt to Disneyland, where, of course, I will miss everyone, but *not* the drama!
I'm watching the prices on Hotel Tonight to see if I can get anything "better" than Tropicana for the same (or lower!) price. I doubt it, but still having fun watching. And I am checking my JetBlue app over and over again, because I have an unfounded fear that my flight will be changed and I won't know... and because I love seeing the countdown on the top of my flight confirmation get smaller and smaller!
Hope everyone is enjoying their visits, or the prep for their visits!
I'm bounding too... I'm actually needing to make a tube top to go over a purple shirt for the top of Ursula, and make some eel earrings for Flotsom and Jetsom. You are READY and deserving of this trip!I'm DISboarding instead of prepping. How "unusual"
This is what my kids are doing when they remember we leave next week:![]()
But not always the good, cute Stitch lol
Have a blast!!!!
Sounds like one heck of a week! Here's hoping the next week passes in peace and harmony. In one week from now (like, literally, 168 hours), I will be waking up, getting ready, and packing my last few things, and heading to the airport.

Yikes! This is the reason I refuse to iron!OMG you guys.......LOL, I ruined my iron yesterday while attempting to make the final trip shirt! I was hastily printing out the iron-on onto the transfer paper while ironing the shirt to prep it and make it wrinkle free. I put down the iron to then cut out the design from the transfer paper. When I go back to the iron I see that I placed it near some plastic and half the iron plate is covered in melted plastic. Duh! My thought (seriously) was that, well, at least I didn't ruin the iron-on or the shirt! So I guess I'll be purchasing a new iron this weekend.
I added a reservation for lunch at Storyteller's for my son's birthday. We ate there on his birthday when we were last at DLR seven years ago, so it just seems appropriate. I also added onto my itinerary all the parade and show times for things we may want to see. Two weeks from today we will be sunning ourselves by the sea, getting all excited for our first day in the parks!
