The current RO and package discounts end Friday, August 7th. I wonder if the late Fall discounts will be announced the next Monday, August 10th. That would be my guess...but I hope I'm wrong and it gets announced sooner!

DH just called today and apparently he had a code attached to his name we weren't aware of for mid October. Applied to my AKL reservation and saved over $800. We wouldn't have even known to check without this board. Here's hoping everyone else gets codes.

Awesome!! Does this happen a lot to people? I called a couple times and asked and they are always nice but I feel like they think it's dumb I'm calling and checking!!

historically, the late fall discounts (according to MouseSavers) have been:

offer: 9/30/12-12/22/12 5%-30% off general public room-only rates - available: 8/27/12, exp 9/29/12
offer: 9/29/13-11/9/13 15%-30% off general public room-only rates - available: 8/1/13, exp 9/15/13
offer: 10/4/14-11/25/14 15%-30% off room-only rates for general public - available: 7/23/14, exp 10/3/14

Does anyone else get constant DVD emails from Disney? I ordered a couple of them, hoping that would make my name appear on their "send a PIN to this person" list...but alas, no email with a PIN/UOC...but I get the DVD emails at least once a week, sometimes more often... And that too comes from "Disney Destinations", so I always have a bit of a heart flutter when I see the FROM, but then the SUBJECT is the DVD...rats!

That would be annoying! I ordered a DVD, also in hopes of getting a UOC/PIN, but I haven't gotten any emails since - no code or emails about ordering a DVD!!

I haven't...is that a good trick for getting a PIN/UOC? I just ordered the vacation planning DVD.

We had extensive conversations with the DVC folks...they were no pressure, and we really were considering buying, but didn't in the end...still haven't had any joy from the DISCOUNT FAIRIES since 2012.....several trips since then, but all at listed prices or current public offers....

I'm contemplating a mom/son trip October 18-23rd (maybe 19-23 to keep the cost down) but only if I find a good deal since we went earlier in the year on a big family trip. Does anyone know if they do release room only discounts what the price would likely be on a value room? I'm thinking either POP or AS Movies. We already have tickets so will not be doing free dining.

Room discounts for values will range from 0% to 15-20% max. October discounts should come out sometime next month.

Thank you, I'll just hope for the best. If it doesn't work out we're planning a spring family trip so we'll just have to wait for May 2016.

I was lucky to get a UIC/PIN for my trip in Dec but I am still holding out for the military salute package too. I got a good deal. Right now my husband and I are staying at POR but I would like to aim for WL. If that is on the list for a good price I will be jumping over there. Or if I can get some other kind of deal.

How I managed to get a UIC/PIN I don't know. I have heard that many people have tried to figure out how Disney goes about to give these out and no one has been able to figure it out. When I got mine I just jumped on seeing what I could get.

I just got one for up to 30% off for stays most nights 08/28 thru 11/24 and 11/28 thru 12/23. We're going mid-Oct so my TA called to get a discount on our stand garden room at the Poly. When she called me back she wasn't happy - no rooms at all at the Poly, WL, BC, or Contemp which were the choices I gave her. We ended up switching to the GF because it saved $400 from the full price room at the Poly. The other available options were club level at the YC but it would only save us about $150 or the Animal King Lodge, it's too remote for us. Really wanted to stay at the Poly but we'll probably never stay at the GF again so we're giving it a try. I think I'm disappointed because this was our one splurge trip but the price at the Poly was just too much of a splurge lol!

Did it come in snail mail, or email? I'm still holding out hope that we can get (and USE!) a discount for out mid-October dates...we have Garden view rooms booked at BC, and I would love to stay there, but if we can save a bit and the resort is one we would enjoy, then I would consider switching too!

I just got an email from VISA (my Disney Rewards card) for this...same old "thru Oct. 3" dates....doesn't help me at all!
