Wow, I'm late getting into this. We're going to WDW October 19-27, staying at POR. First time at WDW since 2000, so it will be largely a new experience - we will have our 14-YO son (he was almost 2 YO in 2000) and our 4-YO son (he'll be about 4 1/2 in October). I will have my 50th birthday while we're there, though it's not the reason for the trip - it just worked out that way. But it does allow me to have a certain "I'm entitled to this trip and all that it costs" attitude, which ain't bad.
Two questions I might as well ask here:
1) So are people getting free dining pin codes sent to them for October, even though free dining was only announced for September? I didn't book a dining plan, as I just can't see us spending that much time sitting and eating when we could be doing attractions. I've only booked a few full service dinners, all our breakfasts will be quick and in the room.
2) Does the Food & Wine thingy have any NEGATIVE effect on visits to Epcot while it's on? I hope not, as I already feel like the Halloween party is messing with things enough.
No free dining pin for us....
but we are going on the Columbus Day weekend, so probably no discount anyways.I've heard it's best to avoid Epcot on the weekends if possible during the F&W Festival because it will become very crowded in WorldShowcase very quickly. I guess that's the one downside.

Decided my 3yo DD is just too young right now to justify the money. Originally signed her up because we're doing CRT that evening for the first time but decided to do Pirates League a different day instead along with my other two DS's.
