Joining in!! I'm planning for our 2nd Disney trip to be in October 2013. So happy to have found a planning thread. I know it's a LONG way off, but I'm going through withdrawal.

It will be me and my son, who will be 6 at that time. We had an amazing first WDW trip at the end of Feb 2012. We are hooked and cannot wait to return!!

Thinking probably the 3rd or 4th week of October, whichever one fall break from school lands. We'll definitely stay on property because I want to take advantage of ME and EMH. The new Art of Animation standard rooms would be cool, will have to check into those. Or I'd love to try for Wilderness Lodge, just not sure I can swing it this time.

I plan on MNSSHP for sure and DS has already requested breakfast with Stitch the next time we go. I may do some looking into the YES program to see what that is all about.

Anyone who has been there in October before: is it still warm enough to devote a day to one of the waterparks??

We were there last October (2011). Most days it was more then warm enough to hit a water park. There were some cool mornings due to a storm front that came through, but even those days had decent day time temps.

OH MAN! I'm SO GLAD I found you guys!! Currently planning a trip for October 6-12, 2013. It will be the very first trip for DH, me and our 2 boys without any other family! Oldest DS will be almost 14 and youngest DS will be 9 - perfect ages! DH thinks I'm crazy for starting to plan this far out, but I'm obsessed with Disney! LOL As you all can relate apparently!

We LOVE October. We've been in July, October, November, December and January - but October is by far our favorite - smaller crowds and still warm! We'll be doing MNSSHP again - got to start our matching costumes this summer so they're sewn in time for next year. And the BEST PART.......we normally stay value - but this time....POLY BABY!!!! Can't wait!!

I'm planning for October 2013! It's not official yet...but I think I can talk my DBF into it. He thinks I'm crazy for planning this far in advance, but he hasn't been in 10+ years so he doesn't quite understand. Plus, if it does happen, it'll be the first time I'll be going without my family and it will be the first time staying on site!
...AND the very first time I went to Disney World was in October 2003...so this will be like a 10 year anniversary for me! OH and it will be the first time I can drink in WDW (I'll be 21 babyyy!)
So I'm really hoping I can take this trip!

I'm planning on staying at AoA in the Little Mermaid room...(he's not completely thrilled with the idea. Tehe)

We will be at Fort Wilderness in our camper from October 12 - 19, 2013. I can't wait, so excited in fact that I am going to go this October with my best friend & her family just so I don't have to wait

Joining the fun... We just pushed our dates back a whole year and will be there Oct 5-13 (maybe longer if I can swing it). Camping for now, but if some great PIN comes or they offer a good promo we might change. .... Either way, We can't wait!!

Welcome, Julia! Where are you planning to stay offsite? We did a split on-site/off-site stay for our last trip. It was also our first family trip to Disney. We stayed at Wyndham Bonnet Creek.

We are going to be back there early Oct 2013 as well End of Sept i am thinking. This will be the second time for my hubby and 2 oldest girls and the first time for my daughter who will be just about 3 then. Looking forward to it!! We took them right before we started trying for baby number 3 and have been waiting to go back there! Was thinking about this Oct but feel it would be best to have her a little older. Be easier!

Planning to be there around the first week of October, DS22 and I have always wanted to see the Halloween decor so hopefully will have a trip for just the two of us - great bonding time for mommy and son!

When I was there in 2007 there wasn't a ton of Halloween decor, especially out of the MK. But what was there was pretty neat.

dh and I will be makin our 2nd Disney trip October 2013! We only visited Mk last time on a one day visit. It's just the two of us but I think we will do a character meal anyway!

We are going to be booking for Oct 2013 as soon as packages become available. We were originally booked for this Oct, but had to postpone it. We are going to either stay at WL or BWI and will be doing 2 days at F&W and 1 or 2 days at MK. We will also be attending MNSSHP.
