October 2013 Code Watch?!

Add me to the list. I am thinking about a short weekend trip in the middle of October. We have a random Friday off of school, so maybe we will plan another trip. We did this in 2011. We never got a discount, it was hard to back rack rate, but it was for my birthday, so I was going one way or another. This time I think we'll go, only if we get a discount.

heading back in october 30-novemeber 4 so very excited...hope for free dining for our family of 6...the free dining does cover the entire family unit correct?? never used it before, last time we went with the kids we camped and then went with hubby and we used the room discount instead of FD...can not wait for October

So, now that the current promo for spring is running, do we think there's a chance they will start sending out the next batch of pin codes that would include October?? I remain hopeful!! My husband somehow managed to get a pin code even though he never logs into his account or goes on Disney's site, but it was the one that was up at the end of September. I'm really hoping he'll have the same luck for the next round!!

I sure hope so. We got the one that ends in September and decided to switch to May unless we get another pin code for October. We really want to go in October for my daughters 4th birthday but with the extra ticket since my son will be 2 then and the chance of not a good enough discount we can't justify it.

Jumping on the October train! We're hoping to book for late Sept/early Oct to catch F&W and MNSSHP. I've never done a dining plan b/c I don't think it's a good value for us, but if it were "free" I'd try it. If only to book CRT without having to look at that sticker price of $150+ for breakfast for 2 adults and a 4-year-old who would gladly live on PB&J if we let her.

Hi! We are going 10/5-10/12. I am really hoping for some type of a discount.

I was looking at a list of the historical dates when discounts that included Oct were announced and it looks like the earliest we will see anything is July.

Is that what you guys are expecting? That is such a long wait!

Our first time in a value resort, but couldn't pass up the square footage in that room compared to the moderates for around the same price.

Then again, if the rumor (and I don't believe rumors until I see it in Disney print) holds true that a free dining promo wouldn't include value resorts we'd have to re-evaluate our options.

I know, I really hope that rumor is not true! We are booked for LM rooms (which I'm sure will be excluded from any discounts altogether), but if we happen to be really lucky and receive a pin for free dining, we were thinking of switching to a suite.

That is the rumor for the next FD promo which was said to be the normal Aug/Sept (a.k.a. late summer) promo. Nothing has been projected for October yet. It will likely be July before we here anything on October.
