This may be a silly question but your party doesn't have to be the same size as the one being cancelled for you to get it, does it?

Could be. Try the same size they cancelled for and if you get it, call Disney and Modify

I have had this happen to 2 people I coordinated with. I guess during the day when you have to compete with many people on the website PLUS the reservation call center PLUS the likelihood that the site crashes due to so many people on it, you're better off coordinating at a time (like early morning or late at night) when traffic isn't so high on the site.

I have also seen it where a cancellation didn't go back into the bucket right after I cancelled but it ended up showing up on the list like 30 minutes later.

I had a CM tell me that when I called the dining reservation line once and I was also told that in the case of BOG sometimes they don't go back in the mix at all so I guess luck plays a small part in it! I'll keep trying just in case there was a delay. Thanks
