I am going to WDW on 1st October 2013 to 22nd October 2013. We have the first week with 5 other family members who are then going to go home to their various countries and are leaving me and my sister at WDW for another 2 weeks.
Onto the question....I am a girl of size shall we say and I am really unsure of the best clothing and footwear options. I am a US dress size 26 and have extremely wide feet, EEE fitting is not always wide enough.

So I basically would like suggestions on what to wear.......I am a UK based Girlie.

Thank-you in advance.

I would say wear something comfortable - it will still be quiet hot for us UK girls :) - no one will care what you are wearing - there will be people wearing shorts who are a size 30+ - so don't worry anything goes. Comfort rules.

As regards footwear - you will potentially walk miles and miles - get two or three pairs of shoes that are really comfortable. I love crocs over trainers for walking round the parks - but I wear trainers on days we don't walk too far, or for evenings. Lots of people wear flip flops - anything goes really

You definitely don't want to get a blister on your first day and let it spoil the rest of the time for you.

You will walk miles without realising - so if you don't walk very far at the moment start doing a little each day. Honest - you can't start preparing too soon. There may also be quite a bit of standing around waiting in queues / for parades - so if like me you have a 'sit down' life - get you feet used to being on them for a big proportion of the day.

If you or any of your party find walking difficult you can always consider hiring a mobility scooter for the duration of your visit.

Hope this helps - see you there :) - we are planning to be there around the same time

Don't worry - enjoy the planning an anticipation of a fantastic trip

Thank you for your advice. I think I will take a mixture of shoes so my feet do not hurt too much.

As for the shorts/short trousers I think I will need to invest in a few good pairs so that I can be comfy and keep cool too.

I am a waitress so am used to being on my feet most of the day and walking miles. I am not worried about my feet aching as I am hardy to that :)

Thank You again.
