Last year we bought raglan t-shirts (black 3/4 sleeves, white torso) from a bulk shirt distributor and ironed on a design: Mickey or Minnie head with each person's name on it (designed on our computer then printed onto iron-on paper). We also ordered some cute Mickey tie-dye shirts via Etsy.
This year we are using both of last year's shirts, plus our old Halloween shirts from Matcheez.com, navy polos we ordered via CustomInk.com (for my in-law's 40th anniversary - yay!) and a new shirt we're making ourselves.
On Pinterest I found a SIMPLE make-at-home shirt. I bought plain red t-shirts for everyone, cut out a Mickey head template, and picked up some letters from the craft store. Then I mixed up a 20% solution of bleach and water, placed the Mickey head and letters on a shirt, and spritzed the air above each shirt, letting the bleach mixture float down onto the fabric until it was nicely bleached, leaving the Mickey head and name dark red. Then I moved the Mickey head template and name letters over to the next shirt and started spritzing again. Easy, and I love the way they turned out!
As soon as the shirts we ordered from Etsy this year come in, I'll post pictures of all 6 styles!
