***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

It's been a bit since I posted but came back to see if anyone had any news on MNSSHP? I am taking my triplets that will turn 14 while we are in Disney from Oct 12-21, staying at Disney's All-Star Movie Resort. The wait is killing us! Made all of our ADR last week, trip and flight are paid for, tickets and Oct 12th is all we are waiting on! I'll keep checking back to see if anyone has heard anything.

I hear tickets will go on sale tomorrow, May 1. That's what the CM told me today when I called for something unrelated.

Hi everyone. Just dropping in to say hello and I'm back from Scotland. I had an amazing trip. Scotland is just a beautiful country! I don't know if I'm ever going to catch up on everything I've missed on DIS. I'm thinking not!

This past Friday was our ADR date and we got everything we wanted

Oct 17 - Ohana dinner
Oct 18 - Kona bkfst
Oct 19 - Via Napoli dinner
Oct 20 - Chef Mickey bkfst

We added 1 more ADR last week, Oct 19 Ohana bkfst

I have also decided on a costume for myself. Came up with the idea last night and ordered everything today. I am going to be the Cheshire Cat I was able to find a pink/white striped tail and cat ears, pink and white striped leggings. Then I will wear a white t-shirt and pink cotton shorts over the leggings. Also found pink tennis shoes on clearance and pink armwarmers. I thought it would be fun b/c DD is going to be Mad Hatter. I'm hoping DH will get a pirate t-shirt at least b/c all 3 boys are dressing up as pirates.

HI gang!! Count us in. We are going to the world on Oct 30 and staying until the 6th of November. We are staying at Animal Kingdom Villas. We are staying in a 2BR villa at Kindani and bringing my folks for the first 4 days we are there. I get to make my dining ressies on Thursday and I am still undecided if I want to do the dining plan this time.

So I'm thinking we aren't going to book MNSSHP. DH went when he was a "young adult" (bunch of guys trip) and said it wasn't anything 'that great' - and considering that he was with a bunch of guys in their early 20's I'm sure to them it wasn't. However, he's now going with his two kids, ages 9 and 7 and I think they would LOVE it. However, I am having a hard time justifying the extra expense. The kids want to do Pirate League and walk around MK as pirates. I even bought them costumes. If we were going to do MNSS then it would make sense that we do Pirate League that same day - but they we are spending a day's park admission and event tickets on top of that. So I'm thinking that it's just not worth the expense when we can just do MK on a day they are open until 9pm, and if I don't say anything they won't know what they are missing!!
We are a family of four - so the event tickets will be about $200. That's like 3 days worth of food for us!
I'm SO torn!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just so you are prepared, it will be very hard for them not to know about MNSSHP. There are signs around the entrance to MK and if you happen to be at a resort bus stop anytime between 3pm and 7pm your kids will probably see others in line for an MK party in costumes.

As for the cost, it is steep, but you can actually get into MK with only your party ticket at 4pm. Depending on how many days worth of tickets you have, an extra day's worth of tix could be as little as $8 per person. Your kids are at perfect ages for the party, and if they like Halloween at all, they would likely really enjoy it. Not trying to talk you into it or anything, but I think if you find that you have some extra money available to you then it might be worth giving it a second thought. The parade alone is worth it to us. Either way, have a magical vacation!

Had to call. Did not find the link or any info on the Disney website. Someone posted it on our October Facebook group, so I immediately called and then came here to post since I know so many of us were waiting.

407-939-1289 is the number I called, and then Option 5 for tickets.

I just called the regular 1 407 W Disney and when the recording asked what I was calling about I said "Halloween tickets" and got right through to a CM! Happy, happy, happy!

Thanks to you both! I called and at first she said they were not available, I said they must be, because all of my friends on the boards ordered them this morning She then checked again and I was able to get them! Now that this and my ADRs are done, maybe I can finally sleep at night

Wish they'd get it posted to the website. I'm at work and cannot make long distance calls! Worse than knowing they weren't on sale yet is knowing they are and I have to wait!!!!!
