***October 2012 Thread*** MNSSHP + Food & Wine - Does It Get Any Better?

I was at a smaller book store and they didn't have the Unofficial guide so I picked up the Passporters. I really like it! Lots of good info on there. They rate restaurants and have a toddler, kid and teen who each rate (most of) the rides.

I would have never known that It's Tough To Be A Bug could be really scarey for a little kid. My daughter will only be 6 and after reading about it I think she will definately wanna sit that one out.

Is everyone doing the Halloween party? Has anyone done it before? It seems like alot of extra money (would cost my party over $200) and I'm not sure if we are gonna do it yet.

Kids are always screaming during the ITTBAB attraction. Even some adults are creeped out by it! Doesn't bother me but I understand why it would bother some.

Most likely I'll be doing MNSSHP. I went in 2009 and had a blast. Best parade I've ever seen at MK and you get lots of candy! Go in the beginning of the week so you can snack on your candy for the rest of vacation :)

Thank you Jenny105 for your reply! I think we have decided that we will wait for October instead of March. It will just be a better vacation if we wait. Plus I will still get to stay here with you guys on this thread! :goodvibes

Yes we are doing the MNSSHP. It IS kind of pricey but last time we went in the fall we didnt get to go and we happened to be in MK when people were arriving for the parade and it was awesome to see all the different costumes and my mom and little brother went and they said it was really fun! So I think it will be worth it this year to go. Would I go every vacation? Probably not but its worth it to check it out at least once I think.

I think that the time is going to fly by and it will be October 2012 before you know it! I'm trying to get myself enrolled in university so I can start on Tuesday and if I do then I think it will help the year go by faster. :wizard:

Also on the topic of the Unoffical Guide, I read 2011's and I thought it was great! I would more than likely try and see if I could get it in at my local library instead of buying it but it definitely is a great read, especially if you havent read one yet.

Very smart! Thanks for the suggestion. Since my oldest is gonna be almost 15 I'm gonna let him decide if he wants to go or not. If not he can stay in the hotel and watch tv or whatever. My parents are also coming at the same time so maybe they would take him over to DTD or something.

So the rides are still operating during this event? I guess if they were my son could just go single rider for everything while me and the little ones do other stuff...

7 more months until we have our park hours!!!!

:banana::banana::banana:

I can't wait either! I'm so000 OCD, that I took this year's park hours and made a iternerary for them just for the fun of it! That's pretty bad.....or just trying to get a Disney fix! LOL! :yay:

Yup! Most of the popular attractions are open. There's even a lady sitting in front of HM talking to guests as they wait in line. It's a lot of fun!

Do it!!

Based on this year's dates, there will be one the day we check-in and on my birthday. :woohoo:

lol We probably will! And that's very cool if they have it on your birthday! Your costume could be a birthday cake. lol Kidding!

I added travel dates & PTRs to the first page of the thread. If I missed anybody, please let me know and I will add you! :)

Great! That will help make it easier to keep track of everybody and when they are going! We havent officially booked yet but the dates we are probably going to book are October 28 - November 5 at CSR! I also like how you added PTR's. I still havent decided if I am going to be doing one myself. I've never done one before and am a little nervous about it. I will definitely be doing a dining report when we get back though.

Headed to WDW the first week of October, 2012. I've talked another family into going with us! We haven't decided where we are staying, but I am leaning towards POFQ. :thumbsup2

I think it would be awesome to be able to go with friends! :goodvibes POFQ is a good resort and if we were picking a moderate besides CSR to stay at it would probably be there. I like the theme and the decor a lot.

Mid-October 2012.....depending on a couple things but we want to do MNSSHP!!

Exact dates to come in a couple weeks!!

Any idea for F&W 2012 dates?

BTW...I am super excited that we are actually, physically starting to plan for the October 2012 trip!
