October 2012 rental car rates watch

I know this is early, but I am going to be renting a car for our Trip in October (26-Nov 4) and wanted to start this thread for cheap rates. This far out the rates are pretty high..but never too early to start saving money right? Anyone else going in October that knows any discounts?
