October 2012 Code Watch!!!

I can't believe the CM's saying it's "too early" for October PIN's to be out. When I got my first, it was the first week of January. And it specifically said "happy to hear you're thinking about a visit in October." My TA was able to apply it and also the one that I received exactly a month later - yep, in February.

I actually called Disney myself at one point to ask about the first one I got and the CM I spoke to, who looked it up for me, said that this particular PIN was actually good for dates through Dec. 31, not just for October.

By the way...for anyone interested, MNSSHP tickets are on sale now, but you have to call. Can't find it on the website.

Thanks for the heads-up! I just purchased the MNSSHP tickets!

ME TOO!!!!!!! Of course I am going on one of the only days that doesn't offer a discount. I asked if I had a pin and she said "no, but that doesn't mean one won't be coming your way" Thanks for that...Now I am going to check my mail and email obsessively for the next 2 weeks!

Wait, there are discounted days for the party?! How did I miss that?

Yes, there are cheaper days to go and discounts for Advance Ticket purchase, but the cheaper days are further away from Halloween. It's not like Tuesday is cheaper than Sunday or anything. Halloween night is the most expensive and it's the same price in advance or day of (although I'm pretty sure it's sold out well in advance of Halloween so you couldn't buy a ticket that day anyway.)

Is there anywhere that prices and dates are listed? Thanks for the response!

Nevermind, I think my date and advanced purchase are the cheapest I can get for October. Thanks!

We are going October 5th. The 4th and the 8th are available for discount(early purchase and ap discount), the 5th, because it is a Friday, is not available for either...Bummer!

Anyone know if the last couple of years when FD was offered if the week of Halloween was excluded? I am hoping to get FD for October and thinking of going this week. So just wondering if it was excluded from the FD promo in the past. :confused3
SOrry if this has already been answered, didn't have time to go through all the pages. Trying to book my ADR's soon!

Take a look at this link. It will show you historically what has been offered, but it's not real clear on any "blackout dates" that may or may not apply during the promotion. It shows where the Free Dining was offered as well as what kind of other discounts were offered. Hope it helps and best of luck!!

So if I book my resort only now and wait to see if free dining or anything is released it looks like that would not come out until Mid August. If it was within 45 days of my trip would I be able to modify my reservation without a penalty. Seems like Disney is waiting until the last min to release fall discounts.

Sure they are. They want to see how many rooms they can fill at full price before deciding what they need to offer. If they are getting too many people on the sidelines waiting, they'll release it sooner. If people are booking in adequate numbers, it will be later (if at all). I'm leaning toward sooner now because of the vague dates for FLE opening.

Dropping out- postponing our trip until April/May 2013. Too many exciting things on the horizon at WDW to go before they open. I want to see B&B, TT, Ariel Ride, both Dumbos and cue. Gonna give the mouse a few more months to get it all up and running- lol.

Have fun everyone. October is a wonderful time to go- low crowds, nice weather-- every Fall I long to take a trip to WDW... just wish so much wasn't still behind walls this Fall.

I will keep my fingers crossed for FD for Fall if you keep your fingers crossed for FD for Spring 2013 for me ;)

Just got a pin code for 20% off room rates! Woot!

I went in last week and started saving ressies for our dates in October, and set up a new email addy for my DD and she received a pin today! Hallelujah! At least it's something, while we wait for free dining!

Hope discounts come for all y'all too! :wizard:

I know last year discounts for October came out in August but I wish I knew now what the discounts will be and for what dates . I'm so impatient :rotfl: Still waiting on a pin code :worried:
