Oh my goodness, I just had to post my exciting news! I just got a callback from Disney World, and was given a 20% discount on my current ressie!! Apparently the other CM I talked to earlier decided to sprinkle Pixie Dust my way. This has never happened to me before! I'm just so excited right now.

I sent off the e-mail like 30 seconds before the call came in. Go figure!

And that's what I got... nothing

Seriously, though, I just got a voicemail box. So I left a sweet message Hoping she calls me back before she leaves for the night.

I'm not sure what she 'knew', but she kept trying to plug in 'different codes' for 'different packages'. At this point, she was able to knock almsot $100 off my reservation for the campsites! Went from $468.02 to $374.44. I will take it for now. Any discount is better than full price, right?

We were going to try to do a YES program and then purchase a dining plan or pay out of pocket for food. Looks like our YES class may fill up before I can purchase the tickets, so.... I'm going to hold on to my current reservation and hold out to see if free dining comes along as my dates are somewhat flexible and we could always move to a room if the price looks good to me.

Anyway, her name was Yolanda and she was great. Super patient and seemed sincere about wanting to help me find a package/price to fit my needs and budget! She gave me her direct extention, etc so if I need to change anything. Yay!!

I sent them an email asking if there were any discounts for my dates or any pins in my name and they sent an email that said that discounts cannot be given out this early. My dates are in the middle of October, I dont think it is that early It also said I could call if I would like to talk to someone for any further information.

It sounds like they were just talking about public discounts.

I think you should call and ask about a PIN. It sounds like whoever responded to your email didn't know exactly what you were asking.

Yes I'm going to call. When I wrote the email I asked them if there were any discounts during the dates we wanted or if I had a pin code in my name that I didnt know about for a discount. Oh well I will just call and check and see how that goes.

I called to check on a pin yesterday and there was one thru August nothing for Oct. She said it was too early for Oct ones. Again a cast member who does not know what we are talking about

I called yesterday and had a different PIN available that was different than the one that was attached in March.

This one was for a room only discount and the % varied depending on where I was staying (value, mod, deluxe) and the CM said there were no specific date requirements.

Turns out my current deal of free quick service and paying the difference for full dining and staying POP is better than the PIN that's available for me.

I'm hoping that they will release a public free dining sometime in June or July for our trip in October. If history is any indication, the chances are pretty good they will.

A very early Happy Anniversary! Ours is the 26th! We're celebrating our tenth anniversary with a Vow Renewal @ the WP this year! Now, let's see if we can drum up codes for Oct

I can't believe the CM's saying it's "too early" for October PIN's to be out. When I got my first, it was the first week of January. And it specifically said "happy to hear you're thinking about a visit in October." My TA was able to apply it and also the one that I received exactly a month later - yep, in February.

I actually called Disney myself at one point to ask about the first one I got and the CM I spoke to, who looked it up for me, said that this particular PIN was actually good for dates through Dec. 31, not just for October.

By the way...for anyone interested, MNSSHP tickets are on sale now, but you have to call. Can't find it on the website.

I am currently booked at AOA suites. If free dining is offered and included for this resort, will it only be the quick serve dining? I can't imagine paying the same price as a deluxe and only getting quick serve. I might switch if this is the case.

It would be QSDP because that is what they are offering AoA for the current free dining offer.

With a suite you can have a lot more people in your room, therefore more people get the free dining. THAT is your additional discount for the higher room rate.
