leave for DISNEY in 16 days and we Just decided to RENT A CAR..

i cant seem to find any rate for a total of 225.00 total for 6 days ( wed to monday)

We seem to be in the October black hole in terms of good rates being available.

I'm right there with you. I don't get it..is there really that much demand? I guess the convention goers are grabbing up all the rentals ? Here's to hoping we see prices drop this week!!

Priceline so far is still a bust. I am bidding at $29 for a minivan which brings it to $234. That's about $50 less than the regular rate that I got through them. Going to keep trying though until I leave on Saturday.

We leave Friday and I was able to get a Standard at $143 for 8 days on Alamo. I have been checking every day and that rate was only available for 1 or 2 days. So glad I caught it as the rates are at least $100 more since and not budging.

I received the newsletter from Dollar with a code for an awesome deal on a minivan. Wouldn't you know I get the "there are no vehicles" message when I plug in the code? I tried it without the code and , lo and behold, there are plenty available. So I called.

I was told that only a certain number of minivans could be booked with that rate and they had reached capacity. So I said, what? one minivan per location? So, I'll just keep trying. Last minute specials for my week come out tomorrow and I will just keep my fingers crossed that Alamo is feeling generous. If not, I've got the Budget rental with the Travelocity code that's not too shabby.

Posting this on both the October and November rental watches. Trying to get a good price for end of October through beginning of November seems to be a challenge. For those of you in the same boat try using the code D454300 or D454301 at budget. It seems like right now one of the most reasonable for our time table. Good luck all.

Do you have that Code still?? cheapest i can find is now 186.00 TOTAL for Compact car.....

It's all about the dates and times that determines whether you get a better deal or not.

I still have 5 more days of watching and waiting.

Thanks FourBees for the budget code. Leave next Monday and have been stressing about finding a decent rate. I got a Ford Escape for $149+tax.

thank you, used 1 of these and its the cheapest rental i could find- total was 186.00......

i will keep checking throughout the next 2 weeks though for a better rate( NO DISNEY BUSSES for us this trip whoo hooo )

Just check Alamo with: ID 7014667 coupon AD2724FZA and the rates have seem to come down compared to last week where they were in the $360+ for a std car are now down to low $300 for a std car. Hopefully the trend continues tomorrow.

My dates are Oct. 22 - 30.

I had used the 7014667 and AD2359FDF Insiders codes. They only gave me that price for 1 or 2 days and then jumped again.

Yeah I've noticed it has gone up a bit since this morning when I checked. Waiting to see what "last minute deals" are when they post them tomorrow.

What code did you use? Right now I have a standard booked for 11 days for $267. I booked that a while ago and have not found anything close since.

Using this code today my rate for October 15-22 was $145 inc. all taxes and fees. Hoping the last minute deals can top it!

I'm seeing some lower rates on Alamo this morning, but no change on National (yet). I would love to get my National rental lower than the $500 rental I have right now. At least on Alamo the price went down instead of up as it has over the last few weeks.

My Alamo rate dropped $20 this morning for my mid-size rental starting tomorrow. I gave up on National and canceled my reservation with them because it was $95 more than Alamo.
