October 2010!! Lets Plan Together!!

I'm going solo October 24-29 :goodvibes I'm meeting up with a couple of Disers for dinner and MNSSHP on the 24th, and plan to also go to the party on the 26th and 28th. Yes, I'm nuts :lmao: My parents may come with me, but they haven't decided yet. I'm staying at Pop with the basic dining plan, and my ADR's are as follows:

Crystal Palace (dinner)
Sci-Fi (dinner)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner)
Rose and Crown (dinner)
Crystal Palace (breakfast)

Woo hoo! Free dining extended thru December! Now we'll still be able to take advantage of the Food and Wine Festival and Free Dining even though I wasn't able to get the first week in October off. We are going Oct. 23-30. Booking today. I think we're going to stay at Carribean Beach Resort. Haven't stayed there since 1998. I really love POR and Coranado Springs but my DH would prefer to mix it up this year.

Just found the thread, and haven't totally read through it but we will be at WDW from Sept 29 - October 6. Staying at Pop Century - 2 rooms. First time ever letting the kids have their own room, but they deserve it at 17 & 15.

I have the following ADR's booked: (I did bounceback so I got regular DDP for free:thumbsup2)

Breakfasts:

Boma
Kona Cafe
Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park Fare

Lunches:

Yak and Yeti
LeCellier
Liberty Tree Inn

Dinners:

Cinderella's Royal Table
Hoop De Doo Review
Mama Melrose Fantasmic Package
Yachtsman Steak House (most likely will cancel)
The Plaza Restaurant (we are doing MNSSHP for this day also)

As you can see we are over allotted meals, so I will pay OOP for some of the meals. It is our anniversary and I overbooked. Oh well!

I also am hoping that they extend the Wishes Dessert Party for October 4th. If they do, we will also do that for our anniversary.

We are booked for September 30 - October 4. A short trip, but it will be our son's 2nd birthday, and we're headed to the Magic Kingdom on Friday, October 1, with dinner at 50's Prime Time. Hopefully, we'll be able to sneak on Toy Story after dinner. We also have ADR's for Teppen Edo, The Plaza, and T-Rex. We're attending MSNSHP on Sunday night. Can't wait!!!

Just booked CBR 10/23-10/30. Made all but one of our dining ressies.

Dinners:
The Wave
Captain's Grill
Kouzzina
O'Hana

Lunch:
Sci-Fi Dine In
Raglan Road

Could not get anything at Le Cellier so far. I'll have to keep trying.

109 days to go! :)

Finally was able to book Le Cellier for dinner now too! Yay! :cool1: The only bad thing is the ressie is for 8:45 but the cheese soup and pretzel bread will be worth the wait!

I will be in the parks Oct. 8, 9, 10 & 11. I'm not getting a park hopper so I will be doing one park each day. I will have to leave the park on the 11th (Monday) by about 5:00. Can someone give me their recommendations as to which park would be best for which day? The days will be Fri.-Mon. Thanks:confused:

I would do AK that day. It closes early and it really doesn't take that long to see everything. You should be able to do everything by 5.

Thanks !!
That is kinda what I thought. I am just a little concerned because that day is an extra magic hour day at AK.

I got my 1st pin code last week so we booked Polynesian for Oct 9-15. Here is our plan:
Saturday 9th - Magic Kingdom, Dinner at Whispering Canyon
Sunday 10th - Epcot, Dinner at Coral Reef
Monday 11th - HS, Dinner Chef Mickey
Tuesday 12th - AK, Dinner at Le Cellier
Wednesday 13th - MK, Breakfast Crystal Palace & Dinner 1900 Park Fare
Thursday 14th - Epcot, Breakfast at Ohana & Dinner Ohana
Friday 15th - Probably going to Islands of Adventure to check out Harry Potter.
I'm so excited! The kids don't know yet and they are going to be ecstatic! Only 83 days left!!

2 months and 15 days until our 2 family trip! We're going Oct. 2-9 and trying DxDP for the 1st time. Our friends have never been to WDW before so this should be FUN to watch!

I'm still fiddling with ADR's (of course), but here's what I have now.

CRT
Teppan Edo
Yak & Yeti
50's
Tusker House
Chefs de France
Tony's
Tutto italia
WCC
HDDR
Le Cellier
Coral reef
Cali Grill
Crystal Palace

I will be arriving on Oct. 14 and stying till the 17th. I am staying at Sports, and my Neice and her DD will be staying at AKL. This will be her first trip to WDW as she lives in San Fran and visits LA Disney often.;) I have dinner ressies at HOB and lunch ressies at Le Cellier. She wants to "hang out" at EPCOT and experience the Food and Wine like only WE can do it!;)

I need suggestions for which days to visit each park. My dates are Oct. 8, 9, 10 & 11. Since I have to leave the park on Monday by about 5 or 5:30, I have decided on AK for that day, I think. The other days are Fri., Sat. & Sun. This is during the Food & Wine days at Epcot and the MNSS Halloween party. I am trying to decide considering these events and also consider the extra magic hours. So, O.K. you folks who really know how to plan great trips, can you help me? :surfweb: Thank you!

90 days!!!

Well, I guess since there are only 2 hours left in today I'm closer to 89 days!!!

Okay, if I was using my rule of working around the EMH to plan my days, I would suggest: Fri - MK, Sat - AK followed by Epcot (focus on Future World), Sun - DHS, Mon- Epcot. MK on Fri. is good since it tends to be crowded on weekend days (townies). Fri night is AK EMH so AK should be less crowded Sat. am. Be sure to be at all parks at rope drop since you only have 4 days, you really want to maximize your time at each park. AK is not a full day park (closes early anyway) for our family, so I would head over to Epcot after you finish at AK. F&W festival tends to make Epcot a little crowded on the weekends, so I would focus on the Future World section of Epcot on Sat. evening. DHS has EMH on Sat. so I would go on Sunday. It is not a full day park for my family, so we usually head over to Epcot or MK after we finish touring there. Go to MK and finish anything that you didn't get to on Friday. Finally, on Monday (I have changed my mind, earlier I suggested you go to AK) I would go to Epcot. Get there at rope drop and experience any Future World attractions that you didn't get to on Sat. then head to WS and enjoy F&W and the countries.
I think the above schedule would allow you to get a good sample (albeit a whirlwind one!) of all 4 parks. Personally, I wouldn't do a waterpark if I only had 4 days.
I hope I have helped you. Please let us know what you decide!

THANK YOU, SWEETPEAMD,
I'm sorry, I neglected to say that I'm not doing park hoppers. For the five of us, that would be an extra $250.00. I have to use a scooter in the park and the extra walking is something I need to avoid as much as possible. I just have a hard time trying to decide which will be the least crowded because of the weekend and the special things going on. I thought AK would be best on Monday but with the weekends being busier with locals at Epcot, I'm not sure. I have been to WDW 20 times but never during the F&W festival and not during a holiday weekend. We have always taken the grandchildren out of school and gone in the less busy times. But this year, my grandaughter is going to be a senior in high school and her parents don't want her to miss school. These folks I'm going to be with are not as Disney crazy as I am, so they will be fine if they can't do EVERYTHING! I don't know if they will be at any of the parks at rope drop. My grandson is 12 and hasn't been since he was 3 so he will be fine with whatever we can squeeze in. I'm going mostly because I want him to have a trip to WDW he will remember. I usually use Tour Guide Mike's suggestions but didn't really have the extra money to join up this year. Maybe we need to do MK on Friday and AK on Monday. Do you think Epcot would be busier on Sat. or Sun.?
