October 2010 Anyone Else?

We are staying at The Sheraton Park, behind DCA. Thank God for Employee hotel rates!
We have our Breakfast reservations for Steakhouse 55 on
Thursday October 7th (My 48th Birthday)
Still waiting on October to open up for WOC reservations, we want to do Wine Country Trattoria that same night. Cast member told me they should be opening up anyday, so guess i have to keep calling back everyday

Has any of you decided what costume you will be wearing to the MHP?

My DS3 would love to be Indiana Jones. But I am having trouble finding him a hat. So I am taking his Pirates of the Caribean costume just in case we dont find a Indy hat at disneyland.

As for me I am pooh sized so I am not sure if I will be dressing up as anything. Its hard to find a costume and I dont sew. So as of right now I am leaning towards not costume.

Would love to hear what costumes everyone will be wearing?

I found a backpack that is a Ninja Turtle shell and comes with all four of the turtle masks then managed to find a tshirt that looks like the front of a ninja turtle!! So I am being a Ninja Turtle plus have a bag to carry my candy and stuff

I have NO idea what to dress my kids up as I don't want them to be hot or uncomfortable?? So I'm just not sure

As for me...I doubt I'll wear a costume but you never know...as I get close I may come up with a great idea

I have no idea. I think we are going to wear T shirt costumes. Two years ago we dressed as a bride and groom when we got married on a pirate ship!

I know for sure they sell multiple diff types of Indiana Jones hats at DL, in the store approximately across from the Indiana ride (my bf bought one in mid July). However, I'm not 100% sure they have kids ones.

To add to this thread, I will be at the DLR OCt 14-17, attending the party the night of the 14th. We have a group of 6 minimum going, hopefully more, and will be doing a Peter Pan theme group costume

hoping the weekend wont be TOO crowded! I never go to Disneyland in october, and i just got back from a friday/saturday trip last week, so i am very used to the summer crowds. im guessing october weekends wont be as crowded as summer weekends!
anyways i am excited to experience the halloween-ness of Disney!!
How is weather in mid October at DL?
this past weekend was unsually cool for summer, I was chilly at night/morning with a sweater and shorts! i think the highest it got was 74 degrees!

I'll be there for the Halloween party on the 12th along with my husband, 2 little daughters (although one will be dressed either Woody or Drago from Bakugan; she's a tomboy and can't make up her mind), and my super-fun mother-in-law. Then, my husband and I are going to go again on Date Night for the party on Friday, the 15th. Can't wait to see all of the costumes!

I'm in the Desert Inn October 27 to 28, and then it's the Grand Californian until November 2!

Me, DD and funny but true my ex-hubby (dds dad) will be there Oct 12-16. I am very much looking forward to my mini vacation!!! We went to WDW last October and I wasn't really thinking I would be taking any kind of Disney trip this year......BUT, I got a good deal on a flight and now I'll be in my happy place very soon!! We are also going to Mickey's Halloween party on Oct 12th. We went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party last year in WDW....so it will be interesting to compare the two!

We will be staying at Best Western Park Place Inn. It's my first time at this hotel. I LOVE that it is right across the street!!!

And one final note....yes, me and my ex hubby get along pretty well. Well enough to take DD on Disney vacations!!

I think that's great that you can do that for your DD...I think that say's a lot about both of you!
