What was the weather like??

We were there 10/08. The weather was hot and low humidity.

DH is putting is his vacation request for tomorrow He has to submit 3 different weeks. Our 1st choice is 10/2-10/10, 2nd is 10/16-10/24 & 3rd is 10/9-10/17. I am keep my finger crossed for our 1st choice. The last few days of our trip will be Columbus Day weekend but we are leaving on Sat and we don't go near MK on Sats so I figure we should be ok.

I would love some input on weather, crowds etc for Oct. I have only been in Sept and have loved, I am hoping the crowds are too bad in Oct.

We went in October of 2007. It was very hot. The humidity was low the first few days, then it rained one day, and the humidity went up from there.

We found that the crowds were low. We only had to wait on a few rides, otherwise the wait was less than 10 minutes for everything.

We loved going during Food and Wine too.

We will be there from 10/24-11/01 again this year. We found the weather to be pretty good except for one cold day where I wish I had gloves and a sweatshirt. The HP was awesome and wehad a great time getting dressed up. We're already planning for this year's costumes

Our family of 5 is going October 9-18!! This is our kids first trip to WDW and we are staying at POR. This trip is a HUGE reward for our family because .... WE ARE DEBT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!! This our BIG celebration!!!!

Is anyone else nervous about getting ADR's? We normally start on a Sat, this time on a Sunday. With that and now the 90 days instead of 180, I am getting a little nervous.

Does anyone else also know about Columbus day & the crowds? What park should we avoid that day?

Sorry, BLT is Bay Lake Towers which is the new Disney Vacation Club resort. It's attached to the Contemporary. The POFQ is a very nice resort. I always wanted to stay there but could never afford it. Enjoy it for what it's worth because honestly for me staying anywhere on property before we bought DVC was a pleasure.

Last time we went in October it was over Columbus day weekend. I was able to get LeCellier and Coral Reef. Of course, I called at the 180 day mark.

I think if we call right on the 90 day mark, we should be fine! :

Where are you thinking for your ADRs?

We will be there October 3-8, although I am thinking of coming in the 2nd late, so we can have early morning EMH at DHS on Saturday. Staying at POFQ! Really excited - the last time we went was January of 2002, right after 9/11, so we couldn't get into POFQ (closed due to ecomony)...

I plan to decorate my window and door! Hope to have some signatures!

I'm going to be there 10/31-11/7 and I cannot wait!! Me and my BF want to go to the MNSSHP on Halloween night - When can we buy tickets for this? Does it sell out right away?

We are most likely changing our Nov/Dec vacation to an October vacation. We will be there October 10-19 for our 1st anniversary at BCV!

We'll be at Beach Club Villas 10/17-10/21 followed by Portofino Bay(Universal) from 10/21-10/25! Super excited!!!

I am just going off of October 2008 dates...they probably won't announce EMH until they release the park schedules - around the 90 day mark for ADRs.

That's what I was going to say. I wish it were earlier that way we could get our ADRs lined up sooner.

Anyone have any ideas of where they are going to eat yet?

We love character meals because they are LOUD and if our kids act up no one really cares and it is too loud to hear them.

JEALOUS!!! All of those sound really good. Have you eaten at Mama Melrose before? If so, what did you think?
