October 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

I am looking for a reservation for 8 (4 adults and 4 children) for T-Rex on either 11/21, 11/22, or 11/23. I have several reservations I could trade if needed. PM me if you can help and I will let you know what I have to trade.

I've asked, but haven't seen an answer. How do you trade or give the reservation to someone else? Are you just giving them your name and reservation number and they show up as you?

I am debating about canceling a Fantasmic package, but am not sure how I would share it with someone else. (it's a party of 2, Hollywood & Vine on 10/11)

Personally I wouldn't trade something that is on a credit card hold because if the person decides not to go and they don't cancel your card will be charged.

What you can do is list that you are cancelling something at x time on x day and if someone is interested they will let you know so that they can try and grab it at the time you cancel it.

That was my concern also. So if it's just a regular reservation, how would you do that? I have never done it, so I have no clue.

Is there anyway for one party to call and have the ressie switched into the new name?

I had success with this on both ends earlier this year before the "new" system was installed.

I called and changed a reservation to another DIS board member's name, and I had other DIS board members change reservations to my name. We exchanged real names and telephone numbers via PM or e-mail, then made the call and asked for the reservation to be changed to the other party's name.

You can no longer change names on a reservation with the new dining sytem

This is exactly the meal/date I'm looking for! If you do decide to cancel, could you please let me know what day/time you're doing it? It may not work, because there are four of us, but it's worth a try!

I need the following ADRs:

October 1st - 50's Prime Time: 5 people for lunch or dinner

I already have ADRs for 5 people at the following restaurants, but my parents decided to come with us so I need additional reservations for 2 or I could use reservations for 7 and cancel the ADRs for 5 that I already have.

October 3rd - 1900 Park Fare: 2 people (around 10:10 am) or 7 people anytime for breakfast

October 3rd - Chef Mickey's: 2 people (around 6:30 pm) or 7 people anytime for dinner

October 4th - Crystal Palace: 2 people or 7 people before 9:00 am

I will be canceling the following reservations. If anyone is interested, send me a PM.

October 5th - Le Celier: 4:00 pm for 5 people
October 5th - Le Celier: 5:00 pm for 2 people
October 1st - Narcoossees: 9:15 pm for 7 people
October 3rd - Boma: 7:10 pm for 5 people
October 2nd - Kouzzina: 7:10 pm for 7 people

I'll have more reservations available that I'll be canceling if I'm able to get the ones I need listed above. If so, I'll post them here before cancelling.

Just emailed my DU TA and asked her to cancel the following:

Chef Mickey 10/4 @ 7:50

Crystal Palace 10/10 @ 4:30

Both are for a party of 5.

Keep trying. I had just sent the email to my TA last night right before you posted. I haven't heard back from her yet (I had some other ?'s for her in the email) so she may not have completed the cancellations yet. Keep checking!

See, this would have been a lot better if you had come on here and offered it first. Then one of your fellow DISers would have gotten it. Please remember that instead of emailing a TA first... you can always call in and change it or even have the TA do it.

Fair point... Two things I can think of...

1) (The stupid idea) Get the person whom you are transferrings Credit card number and transfer that way... then buy yourself a treat for being nice.

2) Conference call... tell Disney what you are going to do... Have that person give them the card... super easy.
