October 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

FYI The cast member I talked to today( at grand gatherings) said that you can't swap over ADR"s @ CRT 'cause you must show an id to confirm your reservation.

I have NEVER had to show ID when checking into CRT. I wouldn't just give someone this ADR because you have to pre-pay if not on the DDP. Or leave your cc if you are. I would however change the names on the ADR for someone.

I had to show ID last November for our lunch at CRT.

I don't think you can cancel CRT online because of the requirement of a credit card..or at least I couldn't.

3-way call to the dining line. When CM hit cancel, she hit her online search button -- worked perfect!!

I hope it's ok that I did this...spur of the moment type of thing. I have an ADR for 1900PF on Sun Oct 4 at 7:15pm for a party of 6 and have been looking for an earlier time w/ the online system. I just came across a 7:25pm one which I obviously don't want since it's 10m later but grabbed it so I could offer it to my fellow dissers. Is it ok that I did that...or should I have just left it alone?

So, the give away is this....

Just PM me and I'll give you the ressie #. I booked it w/ a fake phone number so neither of them would be cancelled since I'll be keeping my 7:15 one.

NOW to figure out how to make a 3 way call on a cell phone......(no land line here)

I would love to have one of the ADRs on the 8th but I need it for 2A and 2C. Do you think I would have better luck changing one over the other (Sci Fi or 50s)?

I would think Sci FI would be easier. Don't they seat you in cars for 4? Let me know and it's yours.

I agree. A table that seats 3 can seat 4 without any issue. Now a 5th person would be a problem.

Unless the 5th person is a child. Last time we ate there they sat us in a car that had 3 rows of seats (6 seats) but all 3 of our kids easily fit in the first row and DH and I sat in the 2nd row. We easily could have had a smaller car.

Hi! Your too funny! Yes, the CM knew we were both on the line. My first question was whether we could simply change the credit card # and she said no. So then, she pulled up the ressie in her computer and gave the other gal a chance to get her online search set up. We did a 1,2,3 counter (while laughing) and bam -- she pulled it up that fast. We thanked her, she said have a magical day and it was done!

With regards to cell phone I think I came across directions for cell phone 3-way when I was researching how to do it on the land line. Think it cost about $1 if you don't have service on your phone. But no biggie -- I was able to help a fellow disboard member

**another option: person calling in (if they have 2nd phone) can call other person. At the moment that the CM hits cancel, she tells the person on the other phone to search. Basically the person cancelling will need 2 phones -- one for each ear But that can eliminate the need for 3-way calling b/c you just need the exact timing that CM hits key.

I may be canceling an ADR for Chef Mickey's on the 1st for 7 people....I don't know if you could find a table for the other 5, though. It's for 9:55 AM.

Did you end up cancelling your ADR for CM's?
We are 2A 1C and have tried every day to book CM since 90 days out without luck
