October 2008 Waitlist Thread

Still waitng for a studio at BWV or BCV October 2-7. We have a studio at SSR booked which will be OK if our waitlists do not come through. Would love to be closer to the International Gateway. If not though, we'll still be at WDW... How bad can it be?

woo hoo! w/l came through at VWL on October 23rd. W/L still active now for BCV on the 23rd and 24th to avoid switching every night.
Current booking -
VWL - 23rd
BWV - 24th
BCV - 25th
We are assured a place to stay, wish us luck on the BCV waitlist.

We are booked at BCV for 10/24-11/2 for a studio (home resort). Waited listed for the same at BWV since the 7 month window - nothing yet.

Nothing's happened, but I changed my waitlist. Now I'm not waiting for AKV, just the Epcot resorts. So I'm waitlisted on 10/24 for BCV or BWV standard or BWV BW view. What's ironic is how I see that one person't waitlist coming thru can have a "domino effect". For example, I'm at the VWL 10/24, and someone's waitlisted for that. If my waitlist comes through at BWV ir BCV for that night, then I'll cancel my VWL reservation, so someone else's waitlist will come through also.

I know how you feel! Here's ours:
OKW - 13th
SSR - 14th (WL'd for OKW)
OKW -15th
WL'd any DVC - 16th (have ressie at POR)
POR - 17th

I really hope that our waitlist comes through as that will be A LOT of moving!! We do have WL's for the entire trip at any DVC resort but not holding our breath. If that comes through it'll probably by SSR. We are fine with that if it keeps us in one place all week!

We are still waitlisted for a 2 bedroom @VWL for 10/19-10/26. We have reservations at OKW.

We're waitlisted since the 7 month window for an OKW GV for the 24th thru 29th. We have a one bedroom and two bedroom, so we'll be fine, but we were hopping to try a GV for the first time.
I suppose no one will be giving that up anytime soon, will they, at this late date?

We are still waitlisted for Oct. 12th for a studio at OKW, SSR, BWV, or AKV. I'm thinking it probably won't come through. Right now we have a studio at OKW for 10/11, and 10/13-10/17. I have a cash res. at ALL Star Sports for the 12th, but I'll keep my fingers crossed.

oh the misery of waiting ( hence the name WAITlist) I am starting to lose hope for my poor lil one day...Oct 12 @ OKW, I have been on waitlist since spring.... I have always had fab luck.... but it may have ran out..... please pix dust come my way!!!!!!! And oh Beatrice @MS today was not in the Disney spirit....... ughhhhhh So I shall just keep stalking the web site and keep wishing and praying!!! Just a vent.... sorry

Still waiting for a AKV Studio for October 9th and 10th. Have back up reservations at SSR, but am slowly losing hope. I called yesterday to "check" and they got my hopes up when he told me "No it hasn't come through...hmmm...wait a second....let me see...oh...no, nothing available."

I extended the waitlist to up to 7 days out. Keeping my fingers crossed for all of us.

Oct 12 seems like it is going to be a REALLY busy night at WDW.

We called ages ago and only got OKW 13-17. Waitlisted for 2-bedroom OKW for months. Called for cash only room last week, NO cash only rooms.

Called central reservations and asked for any room that could hold 6 people on property. The cast member said NOTHING was available for that date. She might have just been checking for AP discount rooms.

Finally got the All-star Music family suite for rack rate at the regular WDW website.

It seems like most people on here are waiting for Oct 12, even just missing this date during their stay.

I also needed rooms for Oct 18 and 19 and many choices with the AP discount that weekend.

Good luck to anyone hoping for OCT 12. If you don't have a room for this date and need to stay on property, GET IT NOW, as this date may fill every room on property.

We have a Grand Gathering planned (husbands side of the family) with 3 studios booked Oct. 19 - 24 and 1 one-bedroom booked Oct. 19 - 28, the 1-bedroom being ours. My dad recently passed away, so Mom is going to join us. I've waitlisted for a 2-bedroom Oct. 19 - 28. I guess if the waitlist doesn't come through, 4 adults in the 1-bedroom isn't the worst thing that could happen to us - afterall, we will be in Disney!

My October Waitlist for the Beach Club or Boardwalk has not come through. However, we did just drop one day at OKW, in case anyone wants to grab it.

it's a 1 bedroom the night of October 15th, checking out on the 16th.
