October 2008 code watch

I got an email this morning offering a deal for a family of 4 for 7days/6nights for 69 a person. Is this what the recent buzz was all about? I thought that was a standard deal that they have had in place for a long time now? Im sticking around waiting for the visa card code anyway!

I got that email this morning also, but it is for 2009 dates.

I got my first ever pin! It was an email.

But, sadly, it's not for my dates :(

Looks like we are going to be there at the same time. I hope that the discount that comes out for the general public will include our week???

We are going to Disney in October also..... never got a pin, but last year was able get a discount for being a Disney Visa cardholder. The discount was enough to pay for the dining plan. We always have two rooms at the ASMo for five of us..... My two granddaughters princess: princess: love DisneyWorld and we go every year in October. I remember the Disney Visa cardholder discount came out around this time last year, so I call everyday to see if I can get the discount. So far... no luck!!:sad2: Maybe tomorrow:) please:worship:

We will be "right next door"! I'll be looking for your LGMH! :)
Keeping my fingers crossed for a discount! We are not Disney Visa holders, so we need a "general public" discount. Right now, we are booked with a package through AAA, so we have a bit of a discount.

Yes, keep an eye out for me! I have my LGMH all ready to go thanks to a trip to Home Depot yesterday!!

Hi
Took our FIRST EVER trip to Disney in January and we all fell in love!! That being said- we want to go back. My sister just postponed her October wedding so I am seriously considering making the trip. :yay:

I called a CM at reservations but there is no current PIN associated to my name. Haven't seen anything come in the mail although I am a card holder.

Is there a way for someone to share a discount code/PIN? :rolleyes1 I am not trying to violate any rules... I am hoping that this is ok to ask.

thanks so much all:thumbsup2

PIN codes are nontransferrable, but there is a discount code expected to be out in the next few days. Watch this thread and mousesavers for the code.

Has anyone been able to call to see if their is a Disney Visa code out? I may try to call later in the day.

I call every day beginning on August 1st.... so far.. no code!! Last year I got the DV discount around this time and I'm hoping that it will be real soon again. The discount was enough to pay for our dining plan for five of us.:grouphug: Has anybody out there received a DV code yet????:wizard:

Today is the last day to book with the current discount code for dates through 9/27.

So, I've been meaning to call to see if there's a PIN attached to my name and I never got around to calling. I have a solo 8-night trip (room-only) reserved for October and I was hoping for some discount codes to help save some $$.

I got a postcard in the mail on Friday with a package offer. I almost ignored it completely since it's a package and it's based on double-occupancy and I'm traveling alone. Then, I realized it included a PIN and saw some fine print "ask when you call about other room types, lengths of stay and Resorts..."

I called and the CM on the phone was VERY helpful and put together a package for my specific needs, basically, saving me the cost of my park pass.

The offer on the postcard was for two people, Value Resort, Two MYW 1-park-per-day base passes (with no options) for 5 nights/6 days - $742.

My original 8 night room-only reservation had a total cost of $788 with my AAA discount and did NOT include my park pass, which I planned to buy when I got there. The MYW with park-hopper and water park options for 8 days would have cost me about $350 at the gate.

It turns out I was able to use the PIN to get the same 8 night stay WITH the MYW/Park-hopper/Water Park option included for about $767 - a few dollars less than my original room-only reservation! :yay:

I sure hope something opens up.... is october a busy time to go ??? I was going to go in september.. but now we are heading to montana, but i still want to go to disney this year

My sister received her pin code at my house...saying the same thing...We have already booked for october 22-25th....I gave her the information...for her to call...to see if there would be any changes from what we already have...(since it was in her name...I figured she could do the calling)

Is this the 4th time you've surprised them? I'm impressed. I'm having trouble keeping our secret for the 1st time.

Yep! See my secret keepers at the bottom!!! We are (Hubby and I) working on the 4th trip! It really is easy for me to keep it quiet. We have done the trips where we tell them early and do the count downs and all that. They were excited, but it was always so far away they drove themselves and me nutty by the time it came!! this way I can plan without being sick of hearing about it b4 we even get there. This is our favorite family vaca. and I truly love doing all the planning. We always talk about it, or they have pictures and things from other trips, so it's not weird if I bring up something in conversation about what someone may want to do. I pretty much know all our fav. places to eat, and what days we like to do which park, so I just have to sneak my planner out when they are busy and quickly make notes!! I have became a GREAT vacation planner through all this! Makes all kinds of surprises easier because they are all on a smaller scale than this;)

You can do and you will be glad u did. There are soooo many fun ways to tell them!! I can't wait to see their little faces!!!

Is the rumored code going to be only with a ticket purchase? We are going for 3 days after our cruise but will be adding days to our tickets before the cruise...I was so hoping for a code...popcorn::

:sad2: I would LOVE to know how you get these pins...we went twice last year, Jan/Feb and Nov/Dec and never have gotten a pin or a bounceback offer...what am I doing wrong?
