October 2007!!!!

We will be in the world 12-23. First 2 nts at Pop and the rest at OKW.:woohoo: :woohoo: Doing MNSSHP hopefully on the 16. It will be fall break here and I know of at least 6 other families going within that time frame.

Not everyone has them. Oct 6th - 13th is when we will be in the World. That is over our fall break. We have 3 other close families that are going at that time as well. 17 of us in all.

There are so many Oct '07 threads that I can't remember if I posted in this one as well or not! We'll be at the parks (Beach Club) Oct 23-28 and the going on the WONDERful cruise form Oct 28-Nov 1. We're going with another couple we met on our Disneymoon in Nov '02 and we're both bringing our kids. It'll be my kids' first trip to Disney ever!!!!!

Going 10-13 - 10-21, but not sure where we're staying.....waiting on AP rates.

Mickeysaver-----DW and I went to MNSSHP on our honeymoon and dressed as Aladdin & Jasmine. Yes there were kids, but it is like a usual day at MK, except the crowds are "not as bad" due to limited number of tickets for event. Funny thing was walking down Mainstreet and having a copy of little children call us by Disney name and ask for picture. We thought it was sweet and played the role like CM would.
The F & WF doesn't make the walk around countries any worse. The booths are stationed for least amount of interference with traffic flow. Now, the weekends tend to pick up alittle as locals visit the park for the festival.
BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER.......YOU ARE AT DISNEY WORLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAVE FUN.

First mother-daughter trip planned for this October. We are currently staying at the Poly Oct 2-7, and HOPEFULLY (if my mom can get off work early enough) flying in the night of the 1st and staying at the Pop...I am of course trying to maximize our time on the 2nd...and waking up at 4:30 to catch a 9:30 AM flight on the 2nd makes for one tired girl come dinner time :headache:

I just wanted to post a change in my travel dates. We have changed to Oct 15-21. We will be flying in late on the 15th and staying at All Star Movie and then moving to the Poly for the other 5 nights, woohoo!!! Hope to see some of you there!! :thumbsup2

I had a good enough time at MNSSHP last year even with all the little kiddos. The crowds were higher at MNSSHP than what we had experienced at MVMCP's in the past. I heard, after the fact, that the night that we went was a sold out night. The rides were more our focus than all of the special entertainment opportunities. We saw Snow White & the Seven Dwarves. We went to Stitch's Dance Party. We LOVED the parade. The fireworks were a bit of a let down. We will do it again one day. Our trip plans are being reworked this weekend. I think that MNSSHP is getting taken out of our itinerary. It's mostly due to the fact that we will be there with only 2 or 3 nights open to us to go, and the last night is Halloween. I am not thrilled at the thought of going on Halloween night. I know that the night kept us up until about 2am last year. I would rather take advantage of daylight park touring and come home feeling relaxed and rested than go to a party that won't have changed that much and come home feeling like I need a vacation. :rotfl:

MNSSHP is a good event. MVMCP is a GREAT event. I would love to see the fireworks at the Pirates & Princess party, because I think that it just might become my favorite party, if I had the chance.

Anyway, I don't want anyone to feel that MNSSHP is lacking or is too filled with little kids. I want adults to know that it can be fun. Don't be afraid to dress up silly. Don't be afraid to let your inner child go trick or treating. It's a good time.....so go, have fun! Maggie

We are going October 7-13 at asmo YAAAAAAAAAAY!!! Went in October 05 AKL and the weather was wonderful, only rained one day for a short time. I have a question about Columbus Day for anyone who can answer..... would be greatly appreciated :) Is it crowded because of Columbus Day? We chose the dates because my dd is out of school for fall break.

First 2 weeks of October booked at SSR now...hoping for VWL at 7months!

CANNOT WAIT!!!!!:beach:

We just got back from our March trip so we can concentrate fully on our Oct trip now! We don't think we're going to do MNSSHP as originally planned. Our kids are bad sleepers and usually go to bed around 8 pm. It won't be worth the $ for all 4 of us to get tix and only stay for an hour or two. I guess we'll go again in a few years and take them to MNSSHP then.

Yes it is crowded over Columbus day week. We are also going then because my DD has fall break. There are alot of things going on then like Food & wine at Epcot, MNSSHP, and lots of people take thier kids out of school the rest of the week since they have Monday off. I like September better for crowds but DD can't miss days this year.

Hey, I think we are going to be on the same cruise that you'll be on! We'll be at the parks Oct 25-28, and our cruise is the 28th to Nov 1st (on the Wonder, I believe). We're bringing our dd, who will be 3 by then, and we soooo cannot wait! This will be our first cruise ever, and our 2nd trip to WDW. We're booked to stay at CBR, but I'm thinking I might look into changing it to the WL - not sure yet.

We are flying over from Sunny (?) Scotland from October 9th until 30th October.

We have been to Florida 7 times (can't seem to find anywhere to match this place !!). Our 17 year old son is coming too - as he absolutely LOVES the place. Loads of golf courses for him. We all go back to our childhood when we go over - this place never ceases to amaze me, no matter how many times I go.

(Maybe the DISers should wear badges then we would recognise each other).

Monique, coolness!! We'll have to try to find each other! I know we're getting an outside veranda room caterogry 6 on the ship. My DS will have just turend 2 when we go and it'll be a month before DD turns 4. We cruised with Disney for our honeymoon and just HAD to go back!! We're going down a few days early since 3 days on land wasn't enough for us! LOL
