How else is mad!!!! i am so disappointed-going oct 2 to oct 6 and can't change it. Now that i know about free dining i'm pissed-was better off when i wasn't in the loop....must. get. over. this.

October is the best month to visit WDW. The hurricane season is almost over, the weather is still wonderfully warm. The crowds are relatively manageable. The Food and Wine Festival takes place.

Take heart that the reason why free dining isn't offered in October is because it is such a great month to visit WDW.

Don't get too mad yet. History shows good discounts for October travel. We just have to wait and see. I think maybe mid-August we may get lucky with something. I too am going in October and I am very excited about it. It's not too hot or crowded.

Discounts have been offered for October travel, but it can be hunt and peck to find availability.

However, early October IS value season - and if any discounts are released for October, that will be the best time to find them. (so that is good for you!)

October is a nice month, and popular.
There is the Food & Wine Fest and MNSSHP. And the closer to November, less likely to experience a hurricane.

we check in Oct 5 thru the 14. I was hoping to sneak in on the free dining this year but no such luck.

2 years ago we checked in oct 4th ( i think ) which was the last day of the FD and then we had it the whole trip.

We are still very HAPPY to be going to WDW but we are hoping for a better price.
