I am not worried about the storm for the cruise, but am worried about potential damage to the islands in the upcoming days. Nothing we can do about it but its disappointing to have your itinerary changed due to weather damage, so I'm hoping storm impact is minimal. I know ... first world problems.

We should be good, it doesn't look like the winds with this storm will be that damaging. It's not supposed to reach any higher than a Tropical Storm.

Our flight arrives at MCO a little after 12 pm Thur. We will be taking the Magical Express on to Old Key West. Im guessing Phil we should arrive at WDW around 1:30 Thur.

I spoke with someone at DCL about where might be a good place to meet for our DISmeet. There were several ideas that she gave me. Does anyone know anything about the Fantasy's layout?

She suggested that we meet midship on deck 12 either Starboard or Portside.

She also suggested D Lounge on Deck 4, Portside entrance, I guess near Shutter's.

Lastly, she suggested the Vista Cafe, I assume on Deck 4 as well.

The for all would be at 3:00pm. I think that this is a good time because most everyone should be onboard by then, have found their staterooms and have eaten lunch. It also gives us a little time before the lifeboat drill.

Any other ideas or suggestions?

I don't recall seeing many replies, but I didn't re-read the later pages either.

Our middle DD told us that NJ had it's first frost last night, funny the weather man here in Orlando warned that the weather was going to get colder here starting monday. Temp should be around low 80's.

Over the past year and a half since booking, my mood has been solemn and reserved for one reason or another, knowing all the potential outcomes.

However, I can now say with gusto that my mood has completely shifted. And now we are exuberant with anticipation, inclusive of the children, especially since the tropical storms are moving on.

Albeit we have 12 checked bags for 4 people.

12?! Oh my goodness, and I was over here griping to my DH about needing a third checked bag between the two of us

OK, that was suppose to be sarcasm. We a four people and we plan to have one BIG checked bag for each person, OK maybe 2 medium bags per passenger. Bags fees? What's that? Never heard of them. Never paid em. No worries.

Of course the trick is not to purchase toooo much stuff, where you end up needing another bag for your goodies.

In fact, we are sending / checking an empty bag, basically for goodies, purchased overseas.

Three bags for two people is nothing. You'll have no worries, unless you buy alot of sundries.

Two more days of work for me and then I'll be in vacation mode. We will fly out of RVA on Friday evening and stay with family in FL. Saturday morning we will drive to the ship.

Has anyone visited the DIS center in Cocoa Beach? Is it worth the extra stop?
