Joining you!! We will be 2 connecting cabins...8 total. My party includes myself, leslie (43) my Mom , Mary my girls Kelsey (16) and Sarah (11) and our friends Traci (43) her girls Ashley(20), Megan (15) and Sophia (10). We would like to join the FE and the FB page too please!

Howdy! :wave2: and welcome.

I had to stop watching the 2nd longer one you posted, because it looks like SO much fun to me, and I don't want to spoil all the surprises! haha... We know it's not the most relaxing or least risky of choices, but it was literally my only non-negotiable of the cruise. I've been wanting to do a canopy adventure for ages, and I never had enough time off at port to do it while I was working for DCL. It's my turn for a piece of the action!!! :yay:

Extreme Fly Zone looks cool.

I always thought I was on the "NO FLY" list for that sort of thing until we went on a full day excursion while in Costa Rica and dixcovered it was part of the "deal" My friend and I were both :scared: scared, but both DH's, her DD and DSIL were going for it so we said "us 1st" and off we went.

What an awesome time we had. Thirteen, yes 13 (who decided that?), platforms and long zips over the canopy of trees just fabulous. Spotted sloths, lots of beautiful birds, no monkeys, and fortunately no snakes.

Joanie

Loved it and didn't even know it was on my bucket list.

Welcome!

I believe DH and I cruised with :wave2: you on MNSSHC. What a wonderful trip and group that was. Loved the ports and group excursions.

Are you in the group photo? I believe Sam and I are on the right side as you look at it and near the front row. Short people!

We were booked on the 09/22/12 sailing on the Fantasy, but changed to this date to be with friends. Neener and her gang are on that trip, and I was sad to not be with them again.:sad1:

We look forward to seeing you againl

Joanie

Welcome. I am Joanne traveling with Dh Roger. We are in our 50's and traveling with our cruising buddies!!

Took a look at the extreme flyzone thing, looks pretty sweet. DW said she wants to see the turtles. The only thing I have that is a 'must do' is Maho beach. I want to see that KLM 747 in real life!! Other than that, I'll just go with the flow.

Our last and only cruise (ever) was the 3 night on the Dream. Just seemed so rushed, like I missed a bunch. This time it will be my relaxation cruise.

Hello One Cool Pilot I have been able to find out that the Air France A340 lands at 1:20PM. but no info on the KLM Flight. Every plane landing at Maho is fun to watch. See you at the Sunset Beach Bar at 1PM for a beer.

BTW I did the Dream as well and either was on an excursion or sleeping it felt like the whole cruise. This one will be different at 7 days.

Sounds great!

We can count on you guys to come up with the best ideas and spend our money:rolleyes1. We'll be in touch for details.

Well the Lobster at Lee's is good and the Sunset Beach Bar is a must do. We just do not have enough time to do it all. St. Thomas is where I am lost. Got any ideas

Sounds like fun. Can you explain it a little? Thanks,

Of course!

So, Secret Mickey is a one on one gift exchange! When you sign up, you are given the name, gender, age and a little info on your Secret Mickey Pal. Their favorite Disney character, favorite color, hobbies, favorite thIngs, etc.
There are 3 gifts that get exchanged. The first 2 can be given whenever you choose, usually by having their stateroom Host put it in the room so it's waiting for them. The 3rd and final gift is given at the Secret Mickey Meet on Friday, when you reveal to your Secret Mickey who you are! There is a limit of $20-$30 total for all 3 gifts given also.
Hope that covers it, and PLeASE let me know if anyone wants to participate! It's a lot of fun. Last cruise, my son got a coloring set, a Lego, and a Buzz Lightyear beach towel! He was sooo excited!

One more thing!

Can anyone please share their Birthday or Anniversary that they'll be celebrating on this cruise....

Last cruise, I made "Happy Birthday" and "Happy Anniversary" magnets and dropped them by doors on their special day along with a bag of treats! They were well received and I would love to do it again. Thanks

Hi Leslie welcome aboard. My DH, John and I will be joining about 35 cabins of friends on this cruise (as part of a TA sponsored cruise) but I am making sure to get to know everyone here on this thread as well since you can't ever have enough cruise friends :).

If you could send me a PM with a link to your FB page I will send you a friend request (look for one from Kelly) and then I can add you to the page.

This is a Birthday cruise for me (which is just a few days after we get off the ship.

Food question!!
So I know something that everyone looks forward to on a cruise is the food. Are there any vegetarians on board who have sailed with Disney before? I'm wondering if the selection for us is worthwhile, or if it's a "Sorry lady, this is all we got!" situation. My dining experience on other cruise lines has been a real bust. I asked this before, but we've had a lot of new shipmates since then! I won't be too sad if it's slim pickins since I'm so used to it, but I sure wouldn't MIND a little opportunity for indulgence!! My man eats anything that sits still on his plate long enough, so he should be fine. :upsidedow

Do you eat fish? I know there are a lot of fish options.

Sorry I can't help with this, but you might get a lot of replies if you post on the cruise thread rather than on the meet thread. Perhaps you can find an existing thread there if you do a search.

I'll be interested in seeing how you make out. I've always heard that Disney is THE BEST :thumbsup2 when it comes to dietary issues.

Good Luck

Good idea, sssteele, I didn't even think about that, since I only ever post here!:scratchin

I eat some shellfish, but I try to stay away from fish, unless it's line-caught. I'm not emotionally prepared to say goodbye to crab! :scared:

One of the things I love about Disney is that they ALWAYS make my daughters dining experience 5 star. She's a vegetarian as well, and we're not. When we pick a restaurant to eat at in a park or hotel, they will make her WHATeVEr she asks for. Usually she wants pasta with asparagus, spinach and red peppers (she's 1/2 Italian LOL)! But she's also had grilled veggies, baked potatoes stuffed with yummiest and DELISH salads with cranberries, nuts, Feta cheese!
On the cruise, there is ALWAYS a Vegetarian choice or two. But she did ask for other items as well, and they were happy to oblige! It IS Disney after all!

DCL has a vegetarian option (or 2) on every main dining ment, the lunch time buffets have things and at the small "deli" I forget the name, they have veggie wraps, etc. I think you will also be fine at breakfast since you didn't say vegan.

You can look on the DCL site and the menus are under dining.

Wow that maho beach landing looks soo unreal!!! I have seen that video before but didn't know where it was from!! Anyone have any suggestions on how to get to marigot from the ship? I want to take my DH and DD to Tropicana restaraunt. Went years ago and it was fantastic! Not to mention fun listening to all the guests around us speaking French !!!!:thumbsup2

I haven't looked at any schedules or anything yet, where did you find it at? Of all the videos I've seen, that big blue KLM is the one that sticks out in my head. No matter to me, a 340 will work too :thumbsup2
