Hey Everyone!

Sorry for being MIA this past week or so. Work has been insanely CRAZY!!!

My partner and I were wondering what people generally do before the cruise. Do you all fly in the day before or do you arrive the morning of? Are there any hotels or places you could recommend if we want to come in the night before?

Also, is anyone on Facebook or anything?

We hope all is well with everyone!

We have done both and it was fine. We prefer to drive so we can get there early at the port. :thumbsup2

Hi Artie & Howie
I am coming from the WC (as is Sunshine Brenda) so i always go at least one day in advance - just to have extra time in case of any flight delays...because 10/20 is actually my BD - i just may go a few days early and spend a day or so at the parks...My sister & her hubby will most likely arrive on Thursday - they like to fly Allegiant and that's the day they can fly...
I am on FB (brenda briggs tsuda)

Hi Artie -

I am not sure if his group has a FB page or not. Anyone know?

We always make sure we are either in WDW or Port Canaveral the night before the cruise. There are just too many things that can go wrong if you make your sail away day your travel day as well. Since we usually drive we stay at Country Inn & Suites or the Radisson both which have Stay, Park and Cruise packages (for the cost of a room we can park our car there all week for free thus saving port parking costs) and use the free shuttle service.

If you are staying at the Radisson (you can book now) you can make your shuttle reservation a year out so if you want to be on that first shuttle to the port I suggest you do that. Country Inn and Suites reservations are also open for rooms but not the shuttle. They do that at check-in.

If you want to stay at the airport there is a shuttle to the port that DCL operates but I really don't know anything about it. We may fly this time if rates come down so we need to learn more about it ourselves and of course DCL and WDW run a shuttle bus service as well (for a price).

Hope that answers your questions.

Artie and Howie, we normally fly in at least the day before if not more. I don't even want to think about missing the ship!!!

Strawberry Brenda, we will be going to the parks a couple days beforehand and hopefully staying at the Animal Kingdom Villas, our new Disney Vacation Club home!!! I am so excited. We finally decided to go ahead and purchase. I have to wait until next month to book for our trip next year, though.

Hope everyone is having a great day.
