October 19th sold out? Reason??

every dvc minus a few are completely booked on Thursday October 19. Any reason any know of? I wanted to go 15 to 20 but only place I could get that I wanted was AKV. A bunch others had 15 to 19 open tho and was curious as if there was a reason?

I do not know of any new particular reason, but it is the heart of Food and Wine (so that probably kills BWV and BCV). It is a thursday night, which means a Halloween Party at MK, and you are getting close to Halloween, so Poly, BLT. and VGF might be tight.

Wow! It's a good thing that we're looking at arriving on the 20th. We're hoping for Kidani, and since we're not members we're sweating it our until the 7 month window.

That is the week we had gone the past two years (going a diff week this year). Both 2015 and 2016 were extremely popular that week (a lot of near park studios not avail for a full week at 7 months). Not sure if a lot of school breaks line up with that week or people just like the crowd levels/weather a little later in Oct.

We had the same experience last year. When I switched at 7, couldn't get the whole week, and even waitlisting didn't do the trick. Ended up with a split stay DVC-hotel.

School breaks in MN for one - probably other places too. It's been that way for several years. It just doesn't get a cool "Jersey Week" name.
