Bring on the stories. Can't wait to hear the stories and see the pics!! I so enjoyed the pics yesterday. I need to learn how to send our digital pics!! Bonnie, sounds like you had a wonderful time at the reception. Hmmmm, you caught the bouquet? May I be the first to ask for an invitation to your wedding?:teeth:

Poor Jeanne has to work this morning. It has to be very hard to work when she is "under the weather".;)

Ted is working and I am playing so I better get to work. Maybe will check in later.

Busy weekend! Lost both hockey games this weekend but the boys played strong. We went to the corn maze and had a picnic with the team. I think they are starting to gel together.

I went to sit with my friend yesterday. She is on bed rest for pre-term labor. They are trying to get her to Oct. 1st when she is scheduled for a c-section.

My Dad's bone scan has been rescheduled for Friday. There was a foul up with the scheduling. When they called to confirm on Friday, we found out they had it at the wrong hospital.

Everyone have a great Monday!
Later!

Good morning!! Sounds like Jeanne, Joyce and Bonnie had a great weekend!! Cosmo's.....verry yummy and sneaks up on you fast!!

Barb hang in there. Things will get better. :earsboy: I don't remember what I was like when I was 16, but I am sure I wasn't the best teen!!!

Susan - the team will win next time, that was their warm up games!!

I didn't see the wedding pictures yet, I guess I have to go hunt down my mom!!

Another busy weekend of getting the house in order.

Kaleigh's birthday and party are on Saturday. I am only having a party tray and a cake.

The wedding pictures were beautiful!

Bonnie: Sandy beat me to it. When's the wedding? ;)

Barb: You shouild have seen the car that got me through college! Jerry and I called it wind-no-wind. That was the difference between being in the car and out of the car in the winter. It was a Chevy Citation.

Bob: Have safe travels. We will see you on the cruise.

Sandy: I am so jealous, 16 pounds! Way to go!

Lori: It may be expensive, but Hawaii! :sunny:

Good Morning!

Well my day yesterday started with Tiffany smashing her finger
on a cement block. She lost several layer of skin. We were then late to church.

After lunch we stopped in a dress shop and did find Tiffany 2 formals. Beautiful and on clearance! One of them was only $14.98 marked down from over $100.

Bonnie-Thanks for the pictures! Sounds like you guys had a great time!

Barb:teeth:

Hi guys, spent the day doing errands and trying to decide what size shirts I will be next summer. Dillards is having 75% off sale. I can gamble on shirts just not shorts.

Hi Susan, Heidi loves corn mazes. Hope you guys had fun. Sorry about your dad's bone scan. What a hastle!

Denine, I learned through the years that you don't have to go all out for a childs birthday party. It sounds wonderful to me.

Barb, poor Tif had a good day and a bad day! Her finger sounds painful. But what luck on the dress!

Jeanne hasn't checked in for a few days. Too much partying at the wedding?

Just got confirmation that our cruise will NOT be going to Grand Cayman. What a HUGE disappointment for us. We will instead be going to Costa Maya, Mexico. Nothing against Mexico but I really don't have any interest in going and now we are having TWO stops. I guess the up side of it is that we changed from Ron Jons to WDW and can go to the MNSSHP!!

I am so totally exhausted. Ready for bed and it is only 3:00.

 I am so sad that we won't be going to Grand Cayman. That was the only port I was looking forward too. Nothing against Mexico, but I just don't like it. I have been to 2 places and it hasn't impressed me yet. Oh well I am still thankful I get to go!!!

I neglected to tell you all that Jeanne's mom broke her ankle...I thought she would check in late. I will let her tell you all the story but she had to force the ER doc to admit her! THat is probably one reason she is MIA.

Costa Maya is supposed to be better than Cozumel...from what Glenn reads anyway. Grand Cayman is supposed to be very expensive. Although I wish they had given us 2 days at Castaway Cay...me not being a beach person except for that beach!!!

Here is a good link to Costa Maya...give you an idea.
Costa Maya

Great bargain Barb...my kind!

Sue-sorry the boys lost but it is the trying that counts. Once they all "gel" maybe they will win.

I will get the rest of the pictures out once I shrink their size. I was too exhausted yesterday!!! Boy am I getting old!! Can't party anymore!

Was going to do my Pilates tonight but remembered I had a dentist appt. tomorrow so I had to go to Curves...30 minutes one way or the other doesn't matter except that the Pilates firms a little better...esp the old belly!

I am not getting notices anymore when someone posts....I finally went in through my favorites.....I have been really busy and haven't even read any posts so had some catching up to do.

We had a beautiful day yesterday...it is now 2:30 in the morning...but it is suppose to be a yucky day today Tues. My friend came over and we took 2 more lilac bushes out that has been in for over 30 years.....we had taken 3 out last Fri. Then we moved some things. I moved a bench in where one of the bushes was and transplanted some things and it looks nice....I get the bug to make changes in the yard every year and I think of all the work I am saving in the spring when I have so much other work to do. I am doing as much clean up now as I can since we leave in 3 weeks and everything will be gone when we get back anyway.

Still haven't heard when my son and his wife is coming....he better hurry as time is getting short until we leave. I have been working on his cruise album of the Panama that we went on last year. It is the hardest album I have done yet because we had between l200-l400 pictures to chose from. So far I have done 90 pages and have several ports to go yet. The worse part is I still have mine to do.

Guess I will go back to bed and see if I can sleep....My head hurts because the weather is going to change I guess...it is still 5l and I think it is suppose to be 49 today and then 27 at night...welcome fall!

Wow Sally sounds like you have been working hard. Glad to see your posts again, but you should probably be in bed at 2:30 in the am!!!

Did Julie disappear again? I hope she is doing okay.

Bonnie - I hope Costa Maya is better than Cozumel, and Puerta Vallarta. I didn't find Grand Cayman all that expensive. When it came down to it, the souveniers were cheaper there than the rest of the ports. They have the coolest money there. Thanks for the website, I will be sure to check it out.

Well it looks like we should get some SNOW flurries today. They have issued a winter advisory for the foothills. Makes me want to go to Florida now!!!

Anyone receive their docs yet? I know my sister's was sent Sept. 13 for the Oct. 9th cruise.

Good morning all,

Like Heidi and Sally said, the weather is yucky and cold. A little rainy too. Would love to see some snow before we head out to FL and Mexico. It would make me appreciate the heat.

You are right Heidi. Where is Julie?

Sally, you can never just sit down and do nothing. Always the yard, the house or scrapbooking.

Bonnie, thanks for the tidbit about Jeanne and her mom. Sometimes hospitals make me wonder. We had to beg the hospital to keep Stacey after she quit breathing twice in two weeks......ahhhh, she's fine now...her vitals show nothing, take her home. We did it the first time and were STUPID. We weren't going to fall for it the second time. Thanks for the link to Costa Maya!!

Better get a move on. Oh by the way, I heard from Darren. Nothing new just looking forward to the cruise.

Don't forget the good tv night. Final episodes of Big Brother and Amazing Race.

Anyone up for horseback riding on the beaches of Costa Maya for $35. I have always wanted to ride a horse on the beach, but this trip I don't have anyone that would go with me.

Nice site Bonnie. I am interested in the pool alongside the beach. Someone in one of the other threads says it's open to anyone. I think I am interested in the open bar, frozen drink beach day!!!! Costa Maya looks pretty. From what I read on the other threads, it gets pretty boring in a few hours, not much shopping.

Good Morning

Not much new just checking in. Bob left for Germany this morning
Now I am on my own to get ready for vacation.

Barb

I know you will think I am crazy but I love this weather...I made chili and going to bake a apple pie for Dick.....then scrapbook all day...I love snow too but then I don't have to go out like you gals that work, then I wouldn't like it as much.

I want Drew to win...Cowboy gets on my last nerve....and Amazing Race I keep hearing that Colin wins and he really gets on my nerves.....I think he treats her terrible...she better not marry him or she is in for a miserable life....

What shows are you watching now Heidi and Sandy my two tv buddies? Have you seen Trading Spouses....where do they find these people?

Sally, I like the change of seasons, so I'm liking this cold drizzle too. Might throw one of my better producing yellow pear tomato plants into a pot today. I'm not ready to give those yummy little guys up just yet. Those lilacs are a job to dig up, huh? I thinned out one area to replant them in another one year and the replants took like weeds. Making a nice privacy hedge though.

I'm so sorry to hear that you cruisers are having your cheese moved! Cronic planners like we all are just don't enjoy such changes! You will make the most of it, I'm sure.

See everyone, I'm actually keeping up!!!

:teeth: Lori

Hi Lori - still waiting for a margarita meet with you and my mom.

Sally - If Colin wins I might give up on Amazing Race. I do not like that guy at all. I can't believe Kristy puts up with him, I despise him, his temper just kills me. I love trading spouses, that show is a riot!!! I also watch Amish in the City but the last show is this Wednesday but thats okay because Survivor is on now!! I love Survivor. Usually at the beginning of the survivors I have one person picked out immediately who I want to win, but this one I haven't seen anyone that stands out to me to pick. Can't forget Donald Trump with the Apprentice either. I am such a reality show junkie.

I heard Costa Maya was supposed to be nice. Everything is close to the port. We like Cozumel and I didn't think we would like Mexico.

Well, we have the landscaper lined up. They will start next week. We are having them prepare the ground in front and back, put in a sprinkler system in the front and sod the front along with making some beds in the front. I will do the rest of the desiging and planting myself, with jerry's help of course. All my landscaping books are spread out on a table in the basement.

Sally, maybe you can come help too! I have some ideas for the back yard. We don't know yet if we are putting in a deck a patio or both. I am thinking of putting up 3-4 lattice pieces on the property line and growing vines on them, like trumpet vine, clematis, etc and then putting in weigela bushes between the lattice pieces for a natural fence. I, of course, need to put in lilacs too.

It is as beautiflu now as it has been all summer. Warm and sunny and dry. Where was this weather the rest of the year???????

It was fun to come back to an active thread! :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Sally, sorry I don't think you are weird as I love this kind of weather also. I plan on making my homemade soup for dinner. Nothing else tho because of the diet. We definitely are reality show junkies aren't we? Good to have a buddy! I despise Colin. He does NOT deserve to win nor does he deserve Kristi. However, Kristy at times could get on anyones nerves, too. I want the soccer moms to win. Big Brother.....gosh it is a toss up because they both got by on the coat tails of others. I didn't want any of the horsemen to win. Bummer! I wanted Nakomis. I love Trading Spouses, Survivor and Apprentice right now.

I HAVE to check out Costa Maya. Guess I will do it during Graci's nap. Can't wait.

Denine, before you decide on a deck or patio or both, make sure that you check out the new flooring for decks. They don't require maintenance like the old ones. Old decks were so hard for upkeep. Ask Lori!!

Speaking of Lori, . Great to see you posting more. I miss you!

Headed off to the foodnetwork.com for advice on how to roast peppers in the oven. I am making the winners green chili that we went to a couple of weeks ago. His secret ingredient is POTATOES that are cooked so long that you can't tell they are there. Great for thickening.
