Good morning.

Julie - Thanks for the pictures. The gang looked great all dressed in the same fabric. Was that a Disney print?

Turner's team had a great scrimmage game last night against a team that was formed just to complete in the state games next weekend. They stopped keeping score but I think it was 13 or 14 to zero. They will be the first team we play so I feel good knowing how the competition stands.

Turner spent the night with a firend last night and will tonight too. Then we pick him and his friend up in the morning to go to Chesapeake, Va. for a tournament. Turner will be happy having a friend on this long drive. I think it is 6-7 hours away.

I'll try to get back on this evening to say hello.

Everyone stay clear of the bad weather. Hope Heidi's new car is OK as well as the BAD BOY.

Later!

Hi guys, we know that the 5th wheel got some minor damage. The BAD BOY?? We won't know anything until we can get it washed. We had leaves plastered all over it so we can't tell. Heidi did absolutely fine. Lucky girl.

Lori, I just can't believe the storms. We had a tornado situation right at Kipling and Bowles according to the news. You might just as well say that is right over the house! And then you got nothing. What are you from me? Maybe 5 miles?

Susan, you really drive for tournaments, don't you. I bet the time will fly with Turner's friend. He will be busy with his friend and not have to worry "are we almost there yet".

Julie, Julie, Julie, haven't you learned yet not to tackle new projects so close to a celebration? You remind me of Ted and painting the family room before our WDW trip this past Dec.

Where is Bonnie? Do we have to drag her out again...kicking and screaming? And Jeanne, guess she must have had to work after the trip.

If I don't get back on before tonight...... bye. Camping time again. Won't be back until Sunday. Have a great weekend everyone. Hugs and Kisses.

Thank Goodness for car washes. If I wasn't at the right place at the right time I would have never been able to run for cover and protect my car from the hail. The weather yesterday was horrible and very scary. I didn't want my brand new car to be dented up in the first month, I know insurance would have taken care of it but still it is my NEW CAR!!! I don't want to encounter anymore storms like that for awhile. When I got done with work, a bunch of us had to wait at the guards station because they weren't letting anyone go to the cars due to the Tornado and Lightening. I pray that the Bad Boy is okay for my dad because I know it made me sick thinking about my car getting damaged. The pictures on the news of all the damage is absolutely amazing, I can't believe how bad this storm was. Now as I look out the window from my desk it is completely foggy out..kind of cool!!!

Lori - thanks for the site, I can't wait to check it out.

Anyone else watch the Reagan funeral? It was beautiful and sad.

I think we got a little rain last night but I didn't hear it....things looked wet this morning.

I woke up at 4 and when it got light enough I went outside and planted 5 hanging baskets and 2 containers. Then I moved l0 cement blocks to behind the greenhouse.

I am going camping with Barb and family this weekend....I haven't been camping for many years so it should be fun. We started in a tent went to a trailer and now I am back in a tent. I told Barb I would fix the food since she has to work until we go tomorrow...just like old times...cook on Friday and take off when Dick got home from work.

Heidi I am glad your car is ok.....I remember when we had just gotten a new buick and Dick drove it to work....a windstorm came up and a roof of a building blew off and landed on top of our car....it wasn't a pretty sight!!

Good Morning!

I think it did rain last night things are fresh today.

I finally got back to Curves after putting it off for months.
I have to work out several times a week to get in shape for our Oct cruise!

Barb:smooth:

Sally: The basement of the house looked so small when they poured the footers. It looks bigger now that the walls have been poured.

Julie: I am brining 2 things. One is a side dish salad and the other is a dessert. It is my excuse to cook and not gain the weight. Good luck with the fence.

Heidi: I am so glad your car was not damaged. I saw on TWC the nast weather you guys were having.

Barb & Sally: Enjoy camping.

Curves: Do they have babysitting while you are there?

Kaleigh is drving me nuts. I am ready to start adding vodka to my OJ in the morning!!! Is this what they call the terrible 2's? If she doesn't get her way on something, she hit, slaps or headbutts. I don't know where she learned this! Telling her no and removing her hands isn't working. I ended up putting her in her playpen for 5 minutes without her blankie last night and will continue to do that if she doesn't stop. Of course, she doesn't do it to Jerry, only me.
HELP!!!!!!

Watched Reagan's funeral and the procession last night. It was moving, especially when Nancy stroked and patted the casket. I plan on watching the memorial service tomorrow. As of now, Jerry still has to work tomorrow. We were hoping the banks would close because he wants to watch the service too.

Isn't the whole Reagan thing very emotional and hard to watch? I was crying by myself yesterday. It is so sad to see Nancy so frail and sad. She could barely walk. I bet that this has taken a big toll on her! I can't imagine a big long week of sadness ceremonies that the world is watching her. Poor thing.

No Denine, Curves doesn't have daycare. Sorry!

Sally, that is so sad about your Buick! I bet it was hard on you and Dick. At least it would have been for me. We don't get new cars all that often!

Took Noah to golfing camp this morning. It is really cool but hard on me with Graci. Thank goodness my niece and nephew were with me to help.

ENJOY YOUR CAMPING, BARB AND SALLY. I know we sure will! It will be a very quiet weekend. Yahoo!

Wow, I should watch the news now and then. We just had a few sudden air gusts that slammed all the doors around 11PMish the other night, nothing more. We drove thru Granby on our way home from Utah Monday and saw the leveled buildings from a guy who went kinda postal with a bulldozer. I peeked at the newspaper to see what the deal was with that, but otherwise I am so out of touch.
Denine, sounds like she's doing her best for your attention. I had to become incredibly diligent to give good praise all the time when they were doing GOOD, then I'd put them in time out and withhold attention for bad behavior. It worked great and actually built a great habit in ME. At night we still review our favorite parts of the day and my favorites always involve things that each kid did to make me so proud of them. We started that as soon as they had a few words in their vocabulary and they still love it. Attention for good rather than bad behavior. That's my battle cry!!! Good luck.

Have fun camping guys.

I am back from Chicago since Sunday but was tired. I tried to catch up on all the posts but still haven't.

Happy really belated birthday to Heidi and Stacy...did I miss what the outcome of Stacy's car blowing up?

Ok...quite a week in Chicago...electrical work done. We pulled out all the bridal bushes out from the front of the house and planted flowers and put up flower boxes. A guy with a truck came along...thank heavens...and put a chain around the last bush and pulled it out with his truck...we would still be trying if he hadn't.
Shopped for tile and fixtures for the bathroom rehab...Glenn signed the contract with the contractor Monday so I will be going out again soon to really shop for the stuff.
Glenn bought a new car! 2004 Honda Accord LX...with side airbags...he says he has to think of someone else now! TEE HEE! We had looked while I was out there but he bought it yesterday. Unknown to him he got my favorite color!!! Dark green with tan interior!
We went to Brookfield zoo where I got attacked by a cow at the children's petting zoo!!! She grabbed hold of my shirt and pulled. I had to fight to get it out of her mouth! THank heavens it was stretchy or she would have ripped it off...got a little hole in it. Glenn said he was waiting for a little Janet Jackson action! I was laughing the whole time.
We did a lot of other little stuff too. Shopping, got Glenn in Kahkis and casual brown shoes...he looks great!!!
We had a terrific time together...of course I miss him already.

Work is yucky!!! So what else is new.

I will try to catch up this weekend with reading the posts...great to hear from Darren.

Poor Smarty Jones!!! He is still my hero though.

Welcome back, Bonnie.

We are walking out the door so I won't be on again until Monday. :wave2:

Have an great weekend everyone. :grouphug:

Later

Lori: I wish I could say it was do to lack of attention, but Kaleigh has my attention all day and I do praise her when she does good. She also gets lots of hugs. She was better yesterday and today. I hope it keeps up.

Bonnie: It sounds like you were quite busy in Chicago! You need to take before and after pictures so we can see the results of all your hard work.

Watched Reagan's funeral this morning. I thought everyone should have that kind of sendoff! It was uplifting and very well done. We will watch the sunset service tonight.

I had buttermilk (1/4 cup) sitting on the counter to make Kaleigh some banana bread and Ollie drank it all! :cat: :drinking1 I have 2 kids!

Sandy: are you having any luck with the metabolife? I have hardly eaten anything all week and I gained 2 pounds.

I guess it is ust me here this weekend. Sue is off to Chesapeke, Sandy is off camping, Barb and Sally are off camping, Julie is cleaning and putting up a new fence for the pool and I am trying to clean for our open house tomorrow. Jerry is out cutting the swamp, er, grass. We had 2 straight days of rain. It is supposed to warm and sunny and no rain today except for the fact that it is cold and cloudy and looks like it could rain any minute.

We are going to a friends house tonight and won't be home until late.

We watched Reagan's sunset funeral last night. It was very touching. So sad for Nancy though.

There are people that are planning on coming to the open house tomorrow.

Don't know anything else.

I'm here Denine

Went to buy flowers for the front but I wasn't happy with anything I saw so I just bought a planter full. The house painters are going to be here this month anyway so they probably would have trampled them.

Glenn is out getting his car today. He called on my cell but stupid me I forgot it when I went out. I will have to hear about it later.

Julie, I meant to tell you that I didn't get any pictures...what am I chopped liver? I guess I really do have to check in more often.

Nothing new...I have to make spag. and meatballs tomorrow...Pam's request for her birthday.

Hope everyone is having fun this weekend.

Nobody here but me. Sauce made but haven't heard from Pam.

Glenn got the car, bathroom man wanted to start Monday...no way! Need to pick tile, fictures etc. and figure out vacation coordination!

Julie! I got the pictures! How cute! Glenn & I almost bought those outfits but I looked too bad in the shift. We could have been your kids also!

That's all that is new here, hope everyone is having fun wherever you are.

Hi guys, we are back from camping. Noticed that the BAD BOY did get damaged. The 5th wheel's roof needs to be looked at to make sure. We are going to have the adjusters come out and look at our shingles on the house also.

Bonnie, I bet BOTH you and Glenn were tired after "vacation". You two need to take a vacation after vacation. The car sounds wonderful. I love those colors also. Happy Birthday to Pam.

Denine, I can't believe Ollie likes buttermilk! It stinks to me. But....both my parents used to like to have a glass or two every once in a while. Crazy, huh?

Had a great time camping. It was cool and that is exactly how I like it. We leave for our two week vacation in a couple of weeks. We will be gone over the 4th again. We were going to travel but decided to forego it to save money for the two upcoming cruises. That makes us happy but sad at the same time.

Reagan's burial was beautiful. The sunset was unbelieveable. Just what he wanted.

Has anyone seen the movie "Radio"? We watched it last night. I highly recommend it. It is definitely a feel good kind of movie.

For all of you that has seen "Wishes" at WDW, I would like to let you know that there is now a CD for it. Faith and Kristy gave me the CD. I absolutely love it. Great soundtrack. A little too short for me tho. I could listen to it forever!

Ford has decided to cover the expense of the new engine for Stacey's Escape. They never could pinpoint why it happened. They said to look at it this way "it was as if a grenade was strapped to the engine and when it went off it blew everything up". DUH! They did determine that it was not Richard's fault because he changed the oil the night before. They were trying very hard to blame HIM!

gotta run, Ted is working and I am playing.

Hi everyone! Just checking in. Brooke's baptism was wonderful! The weather even held out and made it one beautiful day! Well tell all later, too tired to type!

Bonnie, glad you got your pictures too! I was alittle worried that you didn't when I saw your post.

Sandy, glad to hear the Bad Boy came through ok! Good news for Stacey too! Shame on Ford!

Gonna go and crash now, have a great monday!

I know hate is a strong word and my always told me that hate wasn't a very nice word, but I hate some people. I came home from camping this weekend to notice a very big scratch on my brand new car. It's not even a month old yet. Oh people make me angry. It is located on my front bumper and is chipped up and black. Hopefully I can get it fixed somehow but I am not sure they can fix plastic bumpers.

Okay vent over. How is everybody? My weekend was great and quiet, I got to rest a lot!!! Friday I wasn't out in the sun very long but still managed to get a crazy sunburn.

I hope everyone has a great week.

Good Morning!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

We had a really nice time at Brooke's baptism. We had to leave earlier than planned because Kaleigh was sooo tired. We came home, put on her pj's, brushed her teeth and put her to bed.

Our open house went very well according to our agent. He said there was nonstop traffic from the time he put up the arrow. He said there were 2-3 people with above average interest.

We were over friends on Saturday and didn't get home until after 2 AM.

We are tired! I am not doing anything today.

Heidi: Sorry about your car.

Bonnie: I guess it is your house' turn for some updating. I am sure Glenn is excited about his new car. :hyper:

Sandy: At least Ford decided to pay for the new engine.

Morning guys!

Julie, the truck DID get hit. Now we play the waiting game for the adjusters. One for the truck and trailer and one for the house.

Sounds like a good weekend was had by all. Julie and the baptism and Denine and the baptism and staying out all night at friends.

Heidi, I bet the auto body shop can help. Heidi said a "scratch" but she was being nice. What she didn't tell you is that someone backed into her. Left the scratches but no dent.

Housework day. Anyone want to come over and help?

I just read were you can now get free sodas on the Disney cruise and Castaway Key.....use to cost $35 a week....hard to believe someone is giving you something for nothing....well almost, still have to pay for cruise....

Had a good time camping except the nights were freezing and I mean freezing....they said there was frost on the cars.....

I am shampooing the guest room, cleaning closet and waxing furniture....wouldn't you think I would have enough sense to rest after the weekend but no I have to get in the middle of something.....I will pay for it tomorrow probably.....
