Geez Denine, you make it sound like we live in a small shack! We live in a 3 bedroom bungalow with a basement ( an extremely small livingroom, but you would be surprised to see where we can put people:eek:). Let's just say it will be "cozy" IF everyone shows. We'll just send everyone to the basement! LOL!! Your house you live in now is a nice size, just no basement and you solved that problem with your new house :) ! We will manage somehow. We can send Jerry out with the kids to play in the rain! LOL! Bring your swimming suits! (I'm gonna try to have the pool up and running, so really, bring your suits if you want.)

If you would like to bring something, I would love it. Surprise me! Everything you make sounds good to me! We will have cake for dessert, but that might be it. So, whatever you want to make, it would be greatly appreciated! And Yummy!

Garry says he like the baby corn too, but he hates grilling it. The corn keeps falling through the grates!

Question of the day:

"Since it is air conditioning season, what is a Brittish Thermal Unit and what is the exchange rate of an American Thermal Unit?" Discuss!

Have a great Tuesday everyone!:

Thermal units??? Uggg. I definatelly don't have my 'Land" brain back yet. We just got back from the rafting trip tonight. I'll try to get the last 5 pages read in the next couple of days. Things will slow down soon. Need to plan a party for Cody for this Sunday, other than that, pretty managable.
What have I missed???

Lori - Rafting, how fun. Every summer my sister, brother-in-law, and I always say we are going to go rafting but the summer seems to end too soon before we can go. Where did you go? I want to hear about your rafting trip...do post more!!!

So mom, you were doing "things" around the house while I was at work? Glad I wasn't there!! :p What type of things? Or maybe you can't type those types of "things" on a family board!!! I couldn't resist either Julie!!!

Good Morning!

I am dragging today. We went to a meeting last night to plan our camping trip this weekend. After I got home I was stressing like usual about all the things I need to do. If I am not a few weeks ahead of the game I stress! Didn't sleep much. I have been gathering and packing stuff for the Disney cruise and have completely ignored the camping trip.

Good to hear from you Darren. We want to hear about the new woman in your life!

Heidi-I am so excited to hear you are considering the 14 day cruise!! If you go and love it don't forget who talked you in to it!

Barb:teeth:

   Julie and Heidi, SHAME ON YOU!!!!! I won't go into that post any further!! Actually, I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Yikes, I am red thinking about YOU TWO setting each other off.

Barb, don't stress about the camping trip. Go with the flow. The only thing you can't forget is the DEET! By the way, Heidi is thinking about this Oct cruise. I told her she was more than welcome on this trip, just not the 14 day'er. Shame on me. Bad Mom, bad, Mom!

Bonnie, better check in and tell us about your Chicago trip.

Lori, where did you go rafting? Ted and the rest of the family want to go. Ted has done it before. Once again, Nervous Nellie arises. I think my parents named me the wrong name! ;)

Denine, you are so sweet to volunteer to cook something. And Julie, you are so fortunate to have a friend that cooks like Denine does!

Darren: Geez, don't say so much!

Julie: If it were 60 adults crammed into 1 house it wouldn't be so bad, but how many screaming children will there be? As of now it isn't supposed to rain on Sunday, but that can change in an instant. I'll decide on what to bring.

It is supposed to be 90 today! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :sunny:

I got a little sunburn on my shoulders yesterday. I was outside with Kaleigh, but wasn't expecting to be out for an hour so I didn't wear any sunscreen. It doesn't hurt.

Lori: So, how was the rafting trip?

Barb: At least your fish can breathe now!

Sandy: You are right, there is no excuse for not calling, but we were not going to lose a sale on that showing. It was apparently an 80 year old couple, but there family had other ideas for them. They wanted them to live in the same city they do.

Nothing really going on.

Still need to catch up on the prior posts, but.... we did a Yampa/Green rivers 4 day trip. It left from Deerpark (near Dinosaur Colo) and pulled out somewhere in Dinosaur National Monument not far from Vernal UT. We used Hatch River Expeditions which I DO NOT recommend. We did a similar trip two years ago with ARTA and they were SO much better. It's nice to have guides and meals prepared for you and all. We just had to set up our own tent and haul our clothes bags to it. The kids had a ball (again) they get to jump off of the rafts and have splash fights and go to bed dirty! LOL Heaven, huh? Ben and I like to do the inflatable Kayaks, so we had three reserved for us and our friends who went with us again this year. That was fun although our friends made a few mistakes on the rapids and had some scary moments. It was fun and we were SO lucky with perfect weather. I'd recommend using ARTA though.

OK, I'm going to try and read a few pages back now.

Wow, even Darren is going on the Panama cruise. I want to go but non of the family wants to. I should just run away from home. Better yet, I should become a Dudette. Are there tryouts for that?
Sandy, how scary for Stacy. Glad the other cars did a good job of missing her and she got over OK. You guys are having really bad luck with cars.
Denine, what in the heck are nail pops? Oh, and just let the house GO and do like the lady in the commercial, you know, she has a kid in the bath, another is running around with a lampshade on his head (maybe Jerry could fill in there) and the phone rings. It's the Realtor with a showing, and they are already on her porch! That one cracks me up- but really, Murphy's Law can be harnessed and used to your advantage!
Barb, thanks for asking about me! XXOO (and you too Sandy, XXOO)
Well the flu is and yellow nails all sound yukky.
Hi to Julie and Susan and who I just spaced out because I'm having cerebral flatulence.
Agggg, the kids are attacking me for some attention now. Geez, I DID feed them!
Gotta run.\Take care everyone!

Just a quick good morning. Not a lot going on here. I did make it to work out yesterday. Had to opt for an inside workout in the gym instead of deep water aerobics. We had some thunderstorms roll through and they closed the pool.

Have a great day!

How fun Lori, I want to go so bad!!! It sounds like so much fun!!

Today both bosses are out of the office so I am sure it is going to be a major slack off day!!! I am sure not much will get done with anybody in my office, we will be too busy screwing around!!!

Not much new here, just that I went to dinner with my ex-boyfriend's sister to find that his new gf reminds his family of my sister  . Maybe he was using me to try and get to my sister and it just never worked. :p ;)

Good Morning!

Heidi-Stop goofing off!

We finally got some rain yesterday it poured for about 45 minutes. Things look fresh today.

I am in the mood to go home. I am helping the reps on the floor today. I won't be at my desk much.

Barb

Lori: Sounds like you had a great trip.

Heidi: Get to work!

They poured our basement walls!

Nail pops are do to the settling of the new house. It is the nails in the the dry wall. They pop out some and knock a little paint off the wall. They are easy to fix by pounding them back in and painting over them.

I know what Iam brigning to Julie's party.

Julie: Loved the pictures!

Supposed to be 85 today with t-storms later and 70 tomorrow.

Hey, we didn't get any rain and I don't live that far from you....

I worked in the yard and things are really dry....I had to hand water as we can do that, just not the sprinkler

Sally, we didn't get rain up here either but the Denver area suposably had golf ball size hail (Thank god I never saw that..with my new car I might have went psycho with that kind of hail hitting my new car!!!) but we did see a lot of lightening.

Well it ended up this morning I actually had to work, but this afternoon is looking good for less work. ;)

Denine- you must be having so much fun being able to watch your house be built, how exciting.

Heidi: It is fun watching the house being built. We weren't planning on going out last night, but Jerry's parents came over, so we took then to see it. We try to go every few days. It will be really exciting when they do the framing and we can actually see the house!

It is 89 so far and Kaleigh is hot, tired and crabby! I put her down to rest for a while (all right, it was really so mommy could have a break. )

Watched the ceremony of Ronald Reagan being taken from his library to the airport. We will watch the processional tonight. Nancy looks so frail and heartbroken.

I could really use a DQ chocolate silk pie blizzard. YUMMY!!!!

Jerry watered the front lawn yesterday in case we didn't get any rain today. We do have to keep up the curb appeal. Right now, I think the heat and Ronald Reagan's passing are keeping people away. Hopefully they will show up for the open house.

I agree, I hate hail....really hard on the yard. I lost my flowers two times in a row a few years ago....July and August

Denine, when Dick built our house I thought it looked so small when the framing went up...he kept telling me it was really big and I couldn't see it until the walls were done.

It is getting dark like it has all week and it looks like rain and nothing or a few drops. The other day it was so strange I looked outside and it was sprinkling at the left end of our patio and nothing on the right end. I thought I was seeing things so I went out and stood in it and not a drop. Then the rain moved out of our yard into our neighbors and it rained for several minutes and we got nothing.

 We are in the middle of a tornado warning. We have had major hail. From pea size to golf ball size here at our house. Lots and lots of rain, Oh no, here it comes again. My gosh. Guess I will get back on later. :wave2:

I'm baaaack. Wow, what a day. Good thing I cut my errands off early today. Otherwise I would have been caught in this mess. As it stands now as I type Heidi has pulled into a car wash to protect her new Pathfinder from the hail. It is done here. Hopefully we won't get round 3!! Ted's poor "BAD BOY" doesn't fit in the garage. Hope it is ok.

Lori, I remember your last rafting trip. I know you guys LOVED it. Heidi needs to get all the details from you! How is the weather your way? We didn't get it last night but we certainly made up for it today!

Denine, I love the DQ choc french silk pie blizzard. It is very good!

Sally, you not getting the rain that Barb got last night doesn't surprise me. Todays storm we got pelted and my brother who lives about a mile away didn't get it like we did. Crazy COLORADO!

Julie, thanks so much for the picture!!!!! Wonderful, absolutely, wonderful!

No hail, just a nice rain yesterday, then about 15 drops today. We came home to a dry yellow lawn, guess it was pretty hot last week and our sprinkler thinks there are only 6 days in a week, so I couldn't set it to run both watering days while we were gone. (God forbid we water on the wrong day)

Heidi, look up ARTA (www.arta.org) We passed another company called AB a few times, they looked like they put together a nice trip too, as far as I could tell.

Wishes for a cool breeze to you Denine and Kaleigh.

Hi everyone! Just a quick stop in to say hi! Been busy today. Emptied the pool so we can put a new liner in and tore down the fentce that surrounded the pool. We are going to add a fence to the pool sides so we don't have to enclose the area around the pool (we don't have a complete fenced in yard sowe need some kind of fence up). The one that was up around the pool was put up so poorly by the previous owners that it had to come down. The kids played in the sprinkler (Anna Marie, Makenzie and the Big Guy) Brooke slept and I was a lean mean fence tearing down machine! Just what I need to do, add MORE work before the party!

It was 91 here today! We did get some storms early this evening, but they have passed. Of course now I will have to drain the pool again, but at least it won't be as much as before.

Garry is still going with jury duty. They think that it might go until Friday now.

Glad to hear everyone is ok out west! Those storms sounded horrible! Everyone needs to stay safe!

Well gotta run. I hope everyone got their pictures of Brooke and the gang! Will check back in tomorrow! Happy Thursday everyone!

Denine, my mouth is already watering and I don't even know what you are bring! Can you give a hint?
