Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

Julie, you are doing great...good for you!

I got flowers from my husband as I told him NO chocolates!! I am doing the no chocolate in Feb at Curves plus trying to lose weight so candy is out of the question.

It is 30 this morning so we are in a warming trend....

My granddaughter is taking me out to lunch at Red Lobster for Valentines Day and to a movie.

Bonnie has an abcess (sp) again and hasn't felt up to posting. Hope you are feeling better! Love you!

We are home from a fabulous trip to WDW! It was mostly warm and mostly sunny and we all feel better. I am still coughing some, but everyone else is fine.

I read all the posts but don't have time to respond.

Happy Valentine's Day. We spent the morning in Epcot and came home to cold this evening.

Julie: What time is the Big Guys party tomorrow?

Didn't hear a thing about the parade death until I read it here.

FIRST: A "BONNIE REPORT". She left for Chicago on Friday so she couldn't join Joyce, Bobby & I for dinnner at Los Amigos but we are going to try to get together next Friday.

SECOND: The dress-up Valentine's Day Party was really fun. Everyone dressed up (about ten couples) and we were the only "Sandy & Danny" but there are a few problems in paradise.


THIRD: Cheesecake Factory & bushwackers - sounds like my idea of a great night SANDY! Joyce loved her card & so did I!

FOURTH: Very jealous (and proud) of our weight losers.

Welcome back Denine....

How was everyones valentine day? My granddaughter took me to lunch and gave me a garden statue and her mom gave me one too....so it was a great day! Dick got me flowers and took me to dinner.

It is 41 out already so maybe it will be a nice day. I can't wait for spring now more than ever....want to get my kids statues out in the flower beds.

Here it is ll at night and still 48.......had lunch with Barb and then we went shopping. I got some garden shoes like Martha Stewart wears....green rubber.

Watched some tv in eve and now going to bed. I have to get cracking with the housework tomorrow as I played hooky all weekend.

Weathermen are warning us that more snow may be coming Tuesday night! I am not complaining all you Colorado people. I personally LIKE the snow.

Need to go to work to do "competencies" today which is a once a year thing & then return my costume. Hope you all had a romantic Valentine's Day. Bobby gave me the huge Disney Snowglobe of "Love's First Kiss", a large basket of Godiva chocolates (just what I need) with a teddy bear & roses. He is leaving tomorrow for a convention in Houston lasting five days.
Working my three 12's in a row - Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday.

Well I had my first weigh in since I went on the diet.... I only lost 2 lbs. Valentine Day wasn't too good to me. But I did lose 3 lbs body fat. Now how can you lose more body fat than weight???

Are you still going to Curves, Sandy?

It is so pretty out...suppose to get in the 40's.

Now to get to work....

We're home from hockey weekend! Not the best weekend. Turner's team won on Saturday night but they lost 2 on Sunday. They ended the regular season 10-2 and still won first place. The boys just didn't play like they usually do. They have an exhibition game Saturday and then they have the McCaig Cup Tournament in March.

Missed you guys. Glad everyone had a nice Valentine's Day. Glad you are home Denine. Hope Bonnie gets better soon and has fun in Chicago.

I am wondering if anyone has any good ice-breaker suggestions. I am stuck with the icebreaker at my meeting this Friday and found out about it today. It can be anything, as long as it takes no longer than 15 minutes. It can be as simple as having them answer crazy fact questions. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks.

Still a member of Curves, Sally. Just haven't been going. When I was sick from Sep-Dec, I quit going and now just haven't go back in the groove.

I am back again. Had a busy couple of days. We went to the Big Guys party on Sunday. He had a very nice party. Got to hold Brooke and feed her. I miss doing that with Kaleigh.

Where do I start? The flight down could not have been better. We left a little early so we arrived a little early. Kaleigh fell asleep soon after we took off. It was a very smooth flight. We signed up for Emerald Aisle with National and rented a Rendezvous for the price of an Alero.
It was in the low 80's the day we arrived and the next day. It got cool for the weekend, only the 50's for Sunday. My asthma and bronchitis didn't like it.
We went to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner on Friday. Kaleigh really enjoyed herself. All the characters but Minnie came around twice.
Kaleigh had to flirt with everyone she saw and had a blast with the characters. She fusses when they leave! The day before we left, she was collecting princess kisses. She had 5 of them and everyone we passed thought she was so cute covered in kisses.
The flight home was delayed because the flight crew was late arriving. But we still got home on time because we had a good tail wind. Not happy to be back in the cold, but happy to be in my own bed.

Good Morning!!

Haven't posted in a while but I have been lurking. Been pretty busy at work. I think I finally got over the virus I caught at the end of vacation. Phew!! I was sick for over a month!!

Tiffany had her 16th birthday party last weekend. Her birthday is in January but with just getting back from vacation it was better to wait.

She is now an official driver! She passed her driving test with a 97 last week. Yeah!!!

Sandy, I loved the Valentine. You have such a way to make people feel special. I am glad you are a part of this group.

Glad everyone is doing good right now. I am still working on Disney plans for the next trip. Yipeeeeee can't wait!

Denine - glad you had a nice trip. Got your email and picture. Looks like you all were having a good time.

Heidi - I'm not a big fan of ice breakers but I know a few. One is to go around the room and have each person introduce themselves by telling something about themself that no one in the room would know. Imagine the faces when the folks in the room heard me say I had been a volunteer firefighter! Another idea if you know something about everyone in advance is to make a scavager list for everyone to do:
1. Who drives drives a Ford to work?
2. Who has a twin?
3. Who is the father of a new bride?
4. Who had grapefruit juice this morning?
make up your own list.
The person who finds someone in the room for the most items on the list, wins ... maybe a new pen, or a box of paper clips or something else hokey. Hope one of those works. If not, get my email address from your mom and send me a note. I'll email you more ideas.

We had a few flurries today and stayed in the 30s. Thursday and Friday are supposed to back near 60! Yippee!! Can't wait for spring!
