Barb- I love you!!!

The guy looked at the house today. We were outside when he came by so he came inside too. I felt horrible because my house was in no shape to show it...boxes and toys everywhere!! Oh well!! He had fair warning. Don't think he is going to buy it...too big of a backyard for him..he doesn't have any kids.
I am hoping it does sell fast just so I don't have to be sad about as long, like you said Barb.
The house is actually on the campground property so we will own it when we officially buy the campground in May. I don't think I will do much decorating there...don't really plan on staying there any longer than a year. Barb-you'll have to come buy and see it. Maybe on one of your Fridays off you can stop by!!! Then we could have some lunch together!!
I can't believe the girls didn't know about the whole Easter thing. I don't understand why people don't let kids enjoy certain things...such as the Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and Halloween just to name a few. My kids will know the true story but they are also going to "believe" also.

Hi

Did anyone miss me? I haven't been getting notices when someone posts on the board.

I have been working in the yard...the weather has been so beautiful and warm for March and no snow so far this month.

I planted a couple evergreen, flowers that can take the cold and transplanted several things. My roses are getting leaves and I have several different kinds of flowers blooming....yeah spring

Tiff and the girls came over yesterday for lunch and watched tv. They are very nice girls and seem to be having a good time here.

I am a little sore this morning....too much digging I guess.

Hi Sally. I never get notices from the Disboards, of course we missed you.

I need some ideas and help. My coworker is pregnant and her boyfriend is a total loser. They have been fighting a lot and he is not supporting her in any way (financial or emotional). She just found out last night that her mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and that they don't know how deep it is or where else it has spread. They think the cancer has spread. Any ideas what I can do for her to cheer her up?

This is an email that my coworker sent out to our little lunch crew. My heart goes out to her, I have to find something special for her.

Happy Friday everyone!!!

So sorry, hate to bug you all on a Friday, and so close to lunch time to boot! Ha.

Last night I found out that my mother has breast cancer. She was informed that it is fast growing and of high density, and it could also possibly be in other parts of her body. Her next step is to get a chest x-ray and a blood work up. She will then see the surgeon again next Thursday. The results of the two tests will determine the type of surgery and the order of the procedures to be taken. It will most likely include surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Her surgeon went over the diagnosis and procedure options with her yesterday, so it looks as if the next few months will be sort of booked up for her.

She has let us know that she has not yet made any kind of personal plans at this point, and of course, she is unable to determine how things will go or how well she will be able to manage the treatments. Same goes for family, friends, church, work and vacation. With the up coming Holidays, church events and grandchild on the way, she is just trying to take things a little bit at a time. She has said that all she can do is one step at a time and trust that God's will be done.

Just thought I'd share my news with you all, though it's not that great or exciting! I wanted to take this opportunity to make a request, if you all could keep my mother and our family in your thoughts and prayers, it would be much appreciated. I have grown close to you all in the time we have spent together here. Without friends, the world would be a cold, lonely place, void of any real understanding or warmth, we'd be adrift, aimless and utterly alone - and the same goes for family, which is why I make this request of you.

I know the future is not for us to determine in these types of situations, and that we can only do our best to do what we can in order to get through it. There is not a family out there who hasn't gone through or known someone else who has had to deal with pain, sorrow and/or tragedy. I just ask that those families and now ours, be provided with strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

My mother means the world to me. She is a strong woman and has done everything in her power to do what she thought was good and right. She is a caring person, a beautiful spirit, a wonderful mother, a loving wife and a blessing to this world. Lord knows she and I have fought only as mother and daughter can! : ) But at the end of the day, my mother has always been someone who is important to me, someone I respect very much, and she is someone that I love.

I wanted to leave you all with one last note:

No matter how hard this time is and will be...no matter what news comes in the following days or months...no matter how devastating this news is, or the knowledge of the truth and sinking feeling of what we are to face....nothing hurts more than being unable to hug my mother. Please take the time today to hug someone that you love and tell them how much they mean to you.

I didn't work outside today....every time I went outside my allergy kicked in so decided not to do it. Dick and I went out for lunch ....lazy day! Looks like rain.....

Good morning everyone. It is a beautiful rainy day. I say that because it will lead to green grass and beautiful flowers.

Once again, Ted and Heidi are up skiing. I am going to go to Walmart to look for some cool bubbles that Stacey bought for the babies. I thought that Heidi's girls would like them. Plus, my treat when they ski is a Del Taco breakfast or lunch so I am off to do that too. Then, icky laundry.

HappY Saturday!!

Drove by the Campground yesterday. Looks like a fun place. It was still pretty nice out so I saw lots of people hanging around outside. I bet the twins will love all the attention they are going to get.

Lunch sounds SUPER FUN STACY!!! Lets plan on it. Now that you will be in my neck of the woods we can plan lots of fun stuff to keep you busy so being away from your family will be a little easier. Humm How are you at making stuff?? I have lots of stuff for the tea party to put together

I got so many cute pictures of the girls. I am going to Target to develope them. Yesterday we went to Casa Bonita. The girls had one of those old fashion pictures taken. It turned out really cute. Hummm the wheels are turning turning turning scrapbooking scrapbooking scrapbooking..........

The girls want to go to Disney World next Spring. I am going to look into getting our DVC for next year and having all the girls meet us there. Should be SUPER FUN!!!!!!

Barb- I can help you with all your fun ideas AFTER summer. I think this summer is going to be a zoo!!! But I think lunch would be fun. We are actually going to move either the 14th or the 21st of April...I am trying to move a Pampered Chef to the 21st since Richard would rather move sooner than later...me, the later the better!!

I think DW would be a blast with the girls!!!

Going to a b-day party today for one of the kids Joey and Tyler have had play dates with...it was supposed to be a BBQ...probably not anymore!!!

I have to admit...I am enjoying the rain. The cold not so much though!!

The girls went to have late lunch with Jason and Michelle. We are leaving at 5:00 for "Monsters Inc on Ice" so we said our goodbyes. They made me such a cute Thank you card. One page was done in Gingerbread (like my kitchen) one page in "Duckies" (like the upstairs bathroom) one in Pirate stuff and one in Easter. And lots of MICKEY! It was SOOO cute they each wrote a sweet note thanking me for the wonderful time and all the fun activies. When they were watching me with the card I was not really reading it because I am SUCH A CRYER! I knew a few sweet words and that would be all she wrote. I thanked them for the card then after they went upstairs I read each sweet word. At the end of the card was a gift certificate for Archivers!!!

Hi guys! Just a quick pop in! Garry leaves in an hour for Vegas. He comes home on thurs night. It's gonna be weird without him here. This is the FIRST time in 12YEARS he will be gone out of state for this long!

I got some beautiful roses today. Today is our 12 year anniversary!!! To bad I couldn't go with him to Vegas for it. We just will have to make a special trip to CO. !!!! Maybe for a wedding????

Well, gotta go. I promise to be later and post more. I will read the board then and respond!

Hi everyone! Well Garry is off. His plane was late getting into Cleveland so he didn't leave til after 6pm. I have no clue when he will get to Vegas.

I'm VERY pleased with who won Grease!! There was a person missing in the "broadway cast" (one of the guys) so I was wondering if one of the losers got the part. Derek or the danny who didn't win the final. (I'm not going to say who won yet in case someone hasn't watched it yet.)

Well, the kids have been fed, bathed and snack eaten. Brooke is asleep already and the other two are in their rooms with 10 mins left before lights out. They all said that they miss daddy and it hasn't been 3 hours yet! They went to the park today with my parents. It was nice to see my dad get out for awhile. My mom cooked dinner for the kids and I so that was nice.

Barb, glad to hear that the girls had a super time. We all knew that they would have a super time with everything you planned. Maybe you should go into event and party planning. I could wedding coordinating and you could do event and party planning. We could do a super business.

Sally glad to see you posting and that you took it easy and didn't go out in the rain. I think I'm going to try and paint the living room while Garry is gone. We will see. I don't know if I'm a super painter to do the whole room. but we will see.

Stacey, I agree with everyone else. I would have kept the kids room's the way they were. It was sooooooooooo creative. If you haven't changed them, I wouldn't. You wouldn't believe that some people actually LOOK for things like that. I know when Garry and I went house hunting we did look to see if rooms were kid friendly. And the house we bought was. Just my 2 cents.

Heidi, sorry to hear about your friends problems. I don't know what kind of advise to give to her about her boyfriend and baby situation. I wish I could help.

Sandy, thanks for the anniversary wishes! Did you like who won Grease? How was you del taco? I'm doing laundry right now. I have the kids clothes in the washer and dryer and a load of towels and sheets next and then I'm done. It wasn't too bad this week.

Hi Denine! I bet you have been out enjoying this weather! Don't worry, the rain will be back tomorrow! Hopefully this nice weather will be back again soooooooooooooooon!!!

Barb - that was so sweet of the girls. Sounds like they had a blast and all your hard work paid off.

I had an awesome weekend. My dad and I went skiing on Saturday and the snow dumped on us. We came back soaked because it was a really wet snow, but we had continuous powder to ski in throughout the entire day. It was awesome for our last ski day of the season. Sunday, Chris and I took the girls hiking at Red Rocks. We climbed up and down the ampitheatre steps, went to the visitor center, had a picnic, climbed rocks, hiked on many trails, climbed more rocks and then went home!! The girls did not want to go home, so maybe we will take them there again next weekend if the weather is going to be nice.
