I am excited for you too Denine. Soon....very soon. My favorite thing at Bennigans is the fish and chips. Yummy tasting but so horrible for the diet. I am trying to be serious about weight loss again. Pray for me.

Sandy: Are the fish and chips as good as those at the Rose & Crown? We were bad and had hamburgers. Wednesday is cheap hamburger night.

I am up early because I can't sleep. It is only an hour before I was supposed to get up, but I didn't sleep well last night. I was hoping the sipping tequila would help. You would think I was still a kid being too excited to sleep! Kaleigh was sooooo clingy yesterday. I think she is having a bit of anxiety about the trip. Even when it is a good change, at this age, they get anxious.

Sandy: Good luck on the weight loss. I lost 2 pounds this week. The same 2 pounds I keep losing and gaining back.

I don't know if I will be back on before we leave. If not, I will talk to you all when we get back.

Gotta go so Jerry can sign on to work.

Denine, I know a lot of people rave about the fish and chips at the Rose and Crown but we like Bennigans A LOT better. I can't seem to lose either. Up a couple, down a couple and the cycle continues.

I am ready for bed. Too bad it isn't time yet! I still have to give Kaleigh a bath and help Jerry load the car, do my nails and take a shower. I think everything else is done.

Sandy: I will have to try the fish & chips sometime then.

I was right, Kaleigh was anxious about the long drive. We assured her that I had a lot of surprises for her and she would be fine.

Just looking forward to being on the ship now.

Drives are always horrible, bless her heart. I even hate to be very long in the car. Can you imagine me wanting to hit the road when Ted retires? I know, crazy!

I think someone here was on their toes. I got a box in the mail that is addressed to Ted and Sandy and has a "Christmas" reference in the return mail. Now I am feeling bad. I haven't bought let alone shipped mine!

Good morning. Another day based on the wedding. We are heading out to look at bridesmaid dresses and I will put money down that we buy her dress as well.

Yes and we bought the one!!!! I love it so much!!! I even tried on more dresses, but still came back to this one.

Here are a few pictures we took yesterday.

Here is a picture of my mom and my best friend trying on 2 bridesmaid dresses that we really liked. The one my mom is modeling would be what my sister where's and the brown one would be what the 2 other Bridesmaids would wear. Of course they would be the same color!!!

Heidi, your dress is beautiful! Is that "THE" dress or did you order one? When you do get any alterations done, make sure that the person knows how to alter that style of dress. I can't tell you how many brides came in with a dress that was altered where the entire design was destroyed. If I can see the dress right, anything that needs to be taken in should be done at the sides (equally on both sides). You would only "lose" satin material and not any of the detailing. For length... right of the bottom. Seams are the best areas for dress alterations, but make sure they aren't destroying the design of the detailing. (sorry just my bridal shop experience come out...) It really is an awesome dress and you look fabulous!

Your bridesmaids dresses are nice too. May I ask why you went with two different styles? Just FYI make sure that if you go with both styles that both dresses are from the same designer. If you choose one color for both styles from the same designer, the colors will match. IF you choose different designers, the color may say the same color, but the dye bolts will be different. If you choose different colors for each style, it won't matter much.
(sorry, you can tell me to be quiet! I just really liked working with bridal gowns and parties).

Sandy, don't feel bad for the Tribe. We had tied with Boston for the best record in baseball this year and the American League had the top four records and was pretty strong this year. If we manage to beat Boston and make it to the World Series we'll be happy, but if we don't that's ok too. It's tough to go up against teams with $200 million dollar payrolls that buy who ever they need to get them into the series, when we are only in the $60 million range for the entire team payroll. (well, we see how that worked with the Yankees! LOL!!!). Cleveland is ALWAYS the underdogs and NO ONE ever picks them to win ANYTHING. We have grown a custom to that kind of media. One year we will show everyone!!!!

Congrats to your Rockies! 2 and 0! Hopefully we will see you in the series. If we both do, we will have to BET! Like the governors do. Something like your peanut brittle to us if we win and we will send you some Amish spices if you win. (or something like that....)

Well, gotta go. We have a hayride tonight for Brownies. It's great weather for it...... dry and cool!!!! Great fall weather!!!!

Julie - the dress was just a sample that I tried on. They took my measurements and are sending them to the designer to make my actual dress!! The reason for the 2 different dresses is because I love the style of the brown one, but my sister won't wear it because it won't cover up her "baby tummy" and the other dress made my best friend look totally anorexic, you could see all the bones in her chest and neck. Those probably aren't the dresses we will choose, but those were the ones we liked from that store!!! Thanks for all your help.

Heidi, glad to hear that you are getting a "NEW" dress. I always preferred that option. I felt that buying the "floor" dress, made it not mine, but everyone else who tried it on. This way it is YOUR dress and no one elses!! It's your something NEW!!! How great for you!! Who is the dress from? It looks like a Mon cheri or a Gianvonni (sp). Alfred Angelo was big back when I was working in the bridal business, but at the end before I left, they were more for bridesmaid dresses.

Wow Julie....you are good!!! It is a Mon Cheri. I also loved the Alfred Angelo collection and that was my second choice, but must all of theirs had a touch of color. I am thinking about a Michael Richards veil (or something like that), but dang is that expensive!!!

Sorry I have been away so long. I have had some personal struggles been trying to comes to terms with some things.

Jaymee is getting married next June. So looks like I will be helping plan another wedding. We have spent some time talking crying and are now on the same page.
