Hi guys! Things are getting back to normal finally. BUT our AC is acting up so I have to call the guys that put it in to fix it. If it's not one thing, it's another.
Well, this was a super vacation for us and ground breaking as well! This trip, Brooke was tall enough WITHOUT "help"

to ride Test Track, Soaring, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, and Kali rapid river. She LOVED LOVED them all!!!! So, this trip was the FIRST time all of us got to go on all the rides!!!! The Big Guy actually went on Splash Mountain and Thunder Mountain without ANY argument! We all rode each one several times! Actually on Kali, we rode it 3 times in a row without getting out of the raft!!! I got off that ride a little damp, but poor Makenzie and The Big Guy and Brooke got SOAKED!!! Anna Marie and Garry didn't get off to dry either

! We had an early dinner at the Rain Forrest Cafe at AK that day and that's the day they had that storm with the hail and high winds, but we missed all that because we were inside eating. SO, that cleared out the park pretty good, so Kali had no line. It was lightly raining (barely) when we left the Cafe so we did have our rain ponchos on (we normally don't wear them on Kali because I think that's cheating.... but this time we did and still got it.
This entire trip, we only used the rain gear twice!! Garry had his Blackberry with him all the time and would check the weather when the skies looked if-fy and if it showed rain, we headed indoors and to all of our surprise, we stayed dry!!!
All the kids and I bought the Disney
Crocs shoes while we were there. The Big Guy didn't complain about walking at all and either did the girls. I have to admit, I think they are the ugliest shoes on the earth, but they ARE comfortable! They look so big on the foot, but they fit real nice. My feet felt really good after a day in the parks! You can order the disney crocs from DickSportingGoods.com They come in all sorts of colors, I got the light pink with grey strap, the girls got the dark pink with purple strap (I wanted this one too, but they only came in kids) and The Big Guy got Red with the black strap. Anna Marie also got the light pink and grey as well. They are great if it rains or you go on a water ride, your feet get wet but dry FAST!!
The last full day we were there, we went to MK and Garry and I got soaked I mean SOAKED on Splash mountain. It was as if someone took 2 buckets of water and threw it at us. If you can remember the ride, right after you go up the first hill and float pass the big hill, there are 2 water canons that spray water to the side as a log goes down the big hill, anyways, it was this water canon that got Garry and I. It obviously wasn't working right and it gets the first 2 seats of the log on the right side. Was that were you were when you got soaked Denine? YOu could ring out our shirts and shorts into a glass and have more water to spare! In the heat of Fl. you can walk around and get dried within minutes, NOPE not this time! After being there for about 6hours, we decided to go back and change clothes to get into dry ones.
Oh yeah, The kids got to be the guest conductors on the train around MK and got to speak on the mic "all aboard", "Have a Disney magical Day", "Welcome Aboard", and some more but I can't remember everything they got to say. They got Guest conductor cards when we got off the train so that was one of the special events this trip.
Well, that's if for right now. I'll tell more about our trip later if you want.
Sandy, glad you are back and thanks for posting about Sally. I was hopeing that was the case and she didn't leave us like everyone else!
