SANDY: You are allowed to check TWO bags so just evenly distribute that weight & put some of the heavy stuff (wine, shoes, etc.) in your carry-on. I am bringing one big bag, one duffel size bag & a carry-on that is like a backpack with wheels. I can pack for a one week cruise but how do we ever pack for a TWO week cruise

Went to see my Mom tonight & it looks like discharge date is next Wednesday, October 6th. She is doing really well.

I love fall.....I put a scarecrow in the flower bed outside my kitchen window so I can see him when I am at the sink....I also have one in the front yard and a scarecrow head made from wood hanging on the fence by my front door. I put my studio 56 fall pieces out a couple weeks ago on my hutch in the dining room. On another shelf I put the maple syrup making pieces...reminds me of Ohio.

I scrapbooked a little today after I got my cleaning done and went to the scrapbook store with a friend...of course I had to buy some more stickers as if I didn't have a ton already....which of course is never the right ones for what I am doing.

We watched Wife Swap tonight and one thing I am sure of....I don't want to be a multi-millionaire. Now a millionaire I could handle....lol

It rained all night last night and is still going. We might see snow as low as 6000 tomorrow. That could be us or very close to us!

Went to see a townhouse with Heidi last night. We loved it. It had a modern design. I have a bet riding with her father over it. Won't say what it is tho.

Sally, we watched wife swap too. I loved it. At least the spoiled self centered rich lady woke up. Too bad her hubby didn't. Heidi we recorded it in case you didn't catch it.

Denine, sorry you aren't feeling well. Take a nap today. Sounds good, huh?

Jeanne, thanks for the help. I am really worried over this. Between the 3 of us we could have 6 pieces of luggage.

Better go comb my hair before Graci comes. I would be mighty embarrassed with my "morning" hair! That is how I look in the morning.

I saw those two couples on Oprah last week and the rich husband was acting like a real jerk.....so much so that he was getting booed but in the end he gave the other wife a paper that said he would go cut wood for her.

I don't know what your bet is mom, but I would like to go back with dad and really explore!!! I am just having a huge problem with the darn pole!!!! And then what also turned me off was when she said that water was included in HOA but the only water that is covered under that is the water they use to water the lawn, not the water we use inside the house. Is that normal?

I watched Wife Swap, watched most of it and fell asleep in the last 15 minutes. Sally - I am going to look again for Amazing Race, maybe the satellite just didn't have it programmed right, guess I should look in the TV Guide.

I am so excited that I get to see Wishes. Anyone know what time it will be? Can we go now?

Sally, I can't believe that Oprah had them on before the Wife Swap show aired. I would have loved to see it. He was sooooo impressed with himself. He couldn't believe that she took offense to his "sarcasm". What a total jerk.

Heidi, I did love it. I pretty much feel the same as you with the pros and cons. Funny you said you want to go through it with your dad as I said that he and I could do it sometime. It will be soooo totally muddy!

OMG, you guys should see the beautiful snowglobe I got from Graci and Noah. It has Jiminy and I believe a wooden doll that dance every hour for a minute and glitter floats around, too. It has a steeple clock. I have never seen it before.

Heidi, imagine it with all your things in it and does it make you feel all warm and fuzzy.....candles lite, etc. My house makes me feel that way after 37 years here so I know we made the right chose....and there are some things I would change if I could and that is the way the living room is shaped, but I finally came up with a layout I love.

I don't know what is up with Amazing Race but as I said Cory insists that is it on so I guess we will have to wait and see.....

Sally, you have a good point to think of her things in there. Not easy fthough because she only has a bed and dresser. She has nothing, nothing! Not even a fry pan. Hey wait, I bought her some silverware on clearance so she can at least eat take out!

Heidi, I wish I could see your townhouse! I could give you another opinion. The only thing I could say now is that your cons are pretty important areas (ie. living room and master bath). You didn't say anything about the kitchen, how is that? My advice to you is if you don't LOVE the kitchen, bathroom and livingvroom (the rooms you will spend the most time in) then I would think very seriously about this townhouse. I know that I'm not too sure about a pole in my livingroom. Is it in the corner? If it is you can put plants and other things to cover it up. If it is somewhere in the room where you would have to walk around it or you can only put your furniture a certain way, then I might keep looking. Hey,can you take pictures so we can see what you are talking about. Just my two cents.

Great idea, Julie. Maybe we can take a picture. The "pole" is a support for the loft above. It sits off to a side of the room BUT it does have space behind it like a foot or something. Thanks for the birthday wish.

Morning was spent walking dog, taking Aunt for her CAT scan & visiting Mom. I think it was really funny since they had her catching a ball since she never caught a ball BEFORE.

The weather is really stinky here - overcast all day with drizzling.

First of all,

Sorry I haven't been on lately, but first Jeanne came through. Not as bad as we had expected but more flooding in the area. Then our internet service has been interrupted for 3 days. Something about a bad node, they said.

Paul ended up going as a chaperone on Turner's field trip to Earthshine. They left yesterday morning before the sun was up and will be back midday tomorrow.

I spent yesterday with my friend who is having the baby tomorrow. I am going with them to the hospital at 6:00am and the c-section is scheduled for 8:00am. I am so excited for them and can't wait to hold little Morgan.

When I got home yesterday evening, the internet service was still out and there were 4 trucks on our street working on it. Then, wouldn't you know it, the cable went out and I had no TV!! When I looked out the door, the trucks were gone so I'm not sure what they did.

Today, I had cable when I got up but no internet until just now. And, it is very slow. I hope I don't lose this after typing it!!

I have to go back and read everything. You all were chatty so I need to get caught up. I did want you to know I was ok just technology challenged!!

Heidi: The place doesn't sound right for you. There are too many things you don't like. I would hate having a common wall with the living room. The kitchen is a huge deal maker or breaker for me. Try imagining yourself getting ready in the master bath. If it seems cramped and crowded in your imagination... What about a laundry room?

I have some fall decorations out, but not much. I want to get a couple of pumpkins, but they will rot if I buy them now.

They started our sprinkler system today. They have to finish it tomorrow so they can do the final grading of the lawn and put in the beds so they can sod on Saturday.

Cramps, cramps go away!!!! I ma so miserable with them. Jerry worked from home, but has to go in for a t least a little while tomorrow.

Jeanne: Glad your mom will be going home next week.

Sue: glad you didn't get hit too hard by Jeanne.

Going to watch the debate tonight even though I am set on who I am voting for. Ijust want to hear both sides of the story.

They pulled my vioxx!! I haven't had to take it in about 3 weeks, but I will still take it when I need it. I have one bottle of 90 50 mg pills and another partial bottle. I can cut them in half if I need to. Celebrex and Bextra do not work for me.

Heidi...when you mentioned the pole I thought of something you could do with it...but decided not to say it here! Another thing you could do is enclose it maybe since it is only a foot from the wall but it may look funny. Or paint vines going up it...sort of decorative.

Jeanne-No Los AMigos for me...Glenn comes in tomorrow night. Also Pam left for FL today so even she couldn't go but I will tell you she was invited. You all are on your own.
