:hug:Thank you, I am sure we could all use it right now.

I had a pretty good weekend, considering the circumstances. I enjoyed the homemade strawberry ice cream on Sunday. I love that stuff!!!!

Last night had a BBQ at my aunt and uncle's house. It was a lot of fun and then Chris and I stayed for fireworks. My little cousin and I went on the roof to watch the big fireworks that were going off all around us and then were able to have a better view of my other cousin and his friend lighting them in the street. They had a lot of fireworks, luckily no police officers stopped by!!! Let's just say it was a late night and I am wishing I had today off!!!!

Off to work I go, I have an announcement to go out on USAJobs today.

Quick post here before I get Graci.

I think I could be a little grumpy today. The fireworks/crackers in my neighborhood lasted until around 1:00am and on top of that these people are white trash and won't pick up the mess. Now I know why we always vacation over the 4th. Heidi, I sure hope you guys cleaned up. I know, Uncle Larry did it right away.

It is a little chilly today. Guess we could have severe storms this afternoon.

Barb, keep us posted on Missy. Pixie dust her way.

Thanks for all the prayers for us. Ted's dad is in a better place now. He was not to be in any pain but he did in the end. Bless his heart.

Of course we picked up. Uncle Larry makes everyone pick it up after they light it, and then Cris swept up on the whole street in front of their house (including the neighbors fireworks) at the end of the night, they also had a hose handy just in case. The Hagen's are very good with the fireworks. We had them going off at our house until about 2:30am....but I enjoy them so one sleepless night will be okay. I did miss going to Palmer Lake to see their firework display. Up in the Master bedroom, we had a perfect view of Coors Field fireworks.

Yea, I figured they would be just like that. Proud of them! Too bad the witness protection house didn't do better. Actually the worst was the "big blue house".

What's on TV tonight? Sally, any reality shows?

I don't know, I will have to look....have you ever watched Fox Reality channel....I found it yesterday and watched the Littlest Groom.....it is a midget man looking for his true love....take off of the Bachlor........

It is getting ready to storm....

Sandy: So sorry to hear about Ted's dad. Hugs to you all!

Sounds like you all had fun with the fireworks. Those things make me nervous to be around.

We hd a good time at the party on Sunday, but I was too exhausted to go to the ballgame yesterday. We watched it on TV and the night game too. We cooked out hot dogs and had sparklers last night. Kaleigh took her tinkerbell twirly thing outside and Jerry and I did the sparklers, so we all had something.

Still not up to snuff today. Up a lot last night coughing. Jerry worked from home today. They are having a free orchestra concert and fireworks downtown tonight, so it was good Jerry didn't go in so he didn't have to fight the incoming traffic. It starts at 4 PM. We went 1 year. It was very good.

Barb: No suggestions for Missy. Hope she feels better.

I hope I feel better!

Sandy, hugs to you and your family.....sorry to hear about Ted's dad.

There are 4 shows on tonight...Fire Me, Trading Mommy's, Average Joe and opps, I forget the other one :confused3

Hugs to Sandy, Ted, Heidi and Stacey. I am sorry for your loss. I'm so glad he had a chnace to see the twins. You are all in my prayers!

Later!

Who watched Average Joe last night? I thought it was horrible. I am just not getting into that show this year, maybe I am too anxious for Big Brother to start up but Average Joe just seems so set up this year. All those cute guys all seem like jerks, and the previews for next week, can you say Anger Management!!!!

The first part of Fire Me was a repeat so that lost my attention too!!!!

Sally - no I have not watched Fox Reality Show, is it good?

I think I am working on getting a cold, I woke up all achy all over my body with a sore throat and stuffy nose. Yuck.

The only show I watched last night was I Want to be a Hilton.....and the final Littlest Groom.....I haven't watched any reality show this summer that I thought was really good.....some were ok. I haven't watched Joe Average yet but tivoed it....I didn't like the first one too much either. I hope Big Brother is good...it is suppose to be different than the past shows....

I have only seen the Fox Reality channel once and they had several different shows going but I don't know too much about any of them. I am sorry to say I am so addicted to reality shows I watch about anything...lol :teeth:

Dick was suppose to have his surgery tomorrow but they called and said next week...

I didn't paint the woodwork in Dick's bathroom yesterday because we went to the doctor in the morning and the afternoon was so dark from stormy weather....maybe today.

:sad2: Good Morning

I could not get on the board yesterday. I kept getting an error message. But here I am today!

Don't watch much TV so I can't join in the conversation :sad2:

TV in the summer is baseball for us.

Nothing going on here. We did take Jerry's car in yesterday. It turns out the calipers on the breaks are frozen which they are going to fix today. Much cheaper than the tramsmission! I don't know why the other place couldn't figure it out.

Today is my last day of ATB's! I hope my tummy gets back to normal soon!

Sally: Keep us posted about Dick.

Heidi: Feel better!

We have 2 baby kildeer that hatched in our backyard today. They are so cute. I took Kaleigh to see them a little while ago. Earlier today, only one had hatched, but now they are both there with their little mouths open and waiting for mama to feed them.

No car yet. They found some more front end problems, so it won't be ready until tomorrow.

I love to watch the baby birds grow up and take off on their own....we have 3 birdhouses on our patio and the birds have built 3 more nests in the overhang....they have now finished the 3rd sets of birds in the houses..I really think that some of the same birds come back each year.....

It is lightly raining right now

Nothing new here. Lost too much weight so all the outfits I bought last fall for this cruise are too big. Then on top of it all I need to buy a Victoria Secrets bra just to fake it for all the tops and dresses that are too big. What a downer day I had! I don't know if I should shop for new outfits or take them to be altered. I bought a 160.00 sundress that I absolutely loved last year for 12.00. Even that just hangs.

I am trying to figure out what to wear for the funeral next Friday. It is at 11:00 am and then afterwards will be a family picnic. How would one dress for two opposite kinds of affairs? I am leaning towards a skirt with a nice wide strapped tank and then just change into shorts somewhere.

Reality TV last night was a bummer. Guess I have to wait for Big Brother, my favorite.

Denine, car problems are never simple and always stressful. Sorry!

Did you hear about what happened in London? I hope Darren is okay. If I had his email I would email him to make sure.

Darren - if you lurk, let us know you are okay.

Denine - still no car, now thats just miserable.

Tonight is Big Brother!!!! Mom - I am going to try and make it home by 7:00 to watch it.

Ya I am trying to figure out what to wear also. Where is the picnic going to be at...clemet park?

WOOHOO, today is my friday. I am getting off at 11:00 to go to the Rockies game and then I took off tomorrow to go shopping with my mom.

HEIDI: Darren doesn't really live in London & I think his town is not even close to London but he has been MIA so I doubt he will read the post.

VAN HORN'S: Very sad for your loss  Sandy - the skirt sounds perfect. I have an idea about all those outfits you bought that are too big - YOU CAN GIVE THEM TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DENINE & SANDY: Are you bringing pirate outfits? If you read the report from the other cruise, it sounds like there were alot of people dressed in costumes for pirate pirate: night.

The honeymooners are home & said they had a great time in the Poconos. They were supposed to pick up the dogs last night but they are still here! After I get dressed, I am leaving off "the boys".

I have SOOOOOO much to do - starting with cleaning this house, final shopping for Las Vegas, packing, etc. etc. etc.

Hope you all have a terrific day. It is hazy, hot & humid here :sunny: Toodles  :genie: JEANNE

I sent Darren an email. He was first on my mind after I heard about the attacks.

Heidi, yes, it will be at Clement Park. Dad is trying for pavillion 6 because it overlooks the lake and has a great view of the mtns. It is behind the library not by Columbine. Let's just plan on going together or you can follow us to Fort Logan.

Jeanne, that is a good idea. If I don't get the outfits altered, you could wear them if you are around a size 12. I would love to find a pirate outfit. I don't want to buy a "Halloween" type costume but would love to find a blouse or something off the shoulder. Any ideas where to start? I have looked off and on and can't come up with anything. I found a white and black wide stripe off the shoulder type top. Afraid that might be more a jailhouse look. THe honeymooners are back. Now they can set up housekeeping. That is always so fun.

Just heard back from Darren. Here goes: Thank you for your e-mail. It is horrible what is happening in London at the moment, it's on the TV constantly. Luckly none of my friends or family are affected. I'm just glad I didn't decide to go down to London today (it's my day off). I can't believe people would set bombs off like that.
