October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

Hi all! Been busy trying to get our pool ready to go into. I didn't open it before we left because the weather was yucky and since we were going to be gone for over 2 weeks, I figured I would do it when we got back. It is as hot here as it was in Disney!!! I guess we brought the heat back with us.
Anna Marie left last night and we will only see her now for 3 days in July and 5 in Aug. I guess her mother thought that 2 weeks in Disney with us was good enough. Oh well, that's life when you deal with a stepchild.

We had a really nice time down at WDW. We took our time and relaxed. We would do some of the parks in late morning and then go back to the room and have lunch and Brooke took a nap etc. and then we would go back in the evening. We got to see everything we wanted to see so we didn't feel like we lost out on anything. Let's see....... just a quick run down......
*Sorin' was very nice, but I would NEVER NEVER wait in the standby line EVER for it. The fast passes went very fast for this ride so those of you who will go there in the future,get your fast passes early! The line hallway goes on FOREVER for this ride and the standby line wait time is usually around 60 mins at all times.
*Lights Action Motor Cars... well all I can say is to go EARLY for this attraction!!! If you try for the afternoon you probably not see it due to the ever day rain in Fl. If it is raining OR a lightening storm with in 50 miles, they can not do the show. Like Denine said we tried to see it the first time and the sky looked like rain, but it didn't. The second time we also got fast passes (this is also a fast pass must) and it was for I think it 6pm. Anyways they hurd you into this ENORMOUS stadium that seats about the same if not more people as Beauty and the Beast show. Well, it started and it was neat to see those little cars do what they did in such a small area. BUT THEN they had to stop beause there was a storm in the area and said that they will begin again when they get the ok for the weather. BUT knowing the Fl sky we knew that the sky was going to open up and pour so we left. Plus Brooke had all she was going to have sitting there. We were laughing because the guy who was the "director" of the stunt show says they had to stop "production' for the safety of the performers and with lightening in the area they had to stop. BUT they LEAVE the audience sitting in ALUMINIUM STANDS!!! LOL!!! So anyways, we saw some of the stunt show but not the whole thing. From what I saw, it was ok and interesting,but I wouldn't waste my day standing in line for it.
So much to share, but I will post more about the trip in more posts.

Jeanne, Garry got shingles and he was is pain for awhile. I think he said that in about a week he was feeling better. glad that your son got to enjoy his bachlor party!!!! I want to see pictures of the big day!!!

Heidi, sorry to hear you had a migraine all weekend. I'm starting to get a headache today and I hope that it doesn't turn into a migraine, but I have a feeling it is heading that way!

Barb, I want to see pictures of the shower too! And all the details! Ethan is a cutie!!

Sally, glad to hear that you are passing the stones and are feeling better. I can't imagine what pain you were in.

Sandy, I'm so glad that great grandpa got to see the twins. The pictures of the twins are priceless!! Joey's picture reminds me of how Brooke looked about that age. Bright eyed and ready to go. IF that is any indication of what kind of personality they are going to have..... WATCH OUT!! LOL!!! Brooke is sure a hand full!!! Oh and a temper.....!! LOL!

Susan, glad to hear from you!!! YEAH TURNER!!!!!!!!!!! I want tickets when he makes it big in the NHL!!!

Bonnie, I hope the vision is getting better. I have been wondering how it was coming along.

Good Morning!

The Shower was a big success. Everyone loved all the decorations. I covered our fireplace from floor up with paper, I painted it like the sky and grass. Bob painted and cut out Pooh's tree out of styrofoam. I made the candle things like you did Heidi for party favors. I got a picture frame with a really wide matt and had everyone sign it for Ethan. I got duckies and floated them in our pond and one in the punch. I made a balloon bouquet with a huge Pooh head mylar. I painted signs for 100 acre woods and Pooh's Thotful Spot. My Mom had a scrap book table in the dining room and helped the guest make a page for Ethan's scrap book. I ordered labels with Ethan's name and birthdate to put on candy bars. For food I had a veggie tray, a chocolate fountain with strawberries, apples, bananna's and I made rice krispie treats for dipping. The chocolate fountain was a huge hit. We grilled steaks and chicken for the pot luck. Missy had so many gifts there. We had about 30 people come. It was great!! For the door prize I bought the some sock things from Bath and Body that have the gel on the inside to help make your feet soft and also included the foot lotion and a candle. I made a "Mommy" bag for Missy with a candel, cool eye mask some shampoo and conditioner she likes and a $70 gift certificate to a spa to get a facial.

It took me 3 full days to get ready for it. I took Friday off. Now I am worn out. Missy got so many nice things and it was nice to have so many friends and family show up. Ethan was held from the second he hit the door until he left. So many kisses on his little face, mostly from me

I have been kind of a slacker from the board lately. I am trying to read and catch up. Glad your back Julie and Denine. Sounds like you had a great time!

I took a lot of pictures of the shower I am going to work on figuring out how to email them tonight so I can send them to everyone.

Barb - sounds like the baby shower was a hit, I am so glad!!! (but aren't you glad it is over with so you can relax now!!!) Sounds like so much fun, wish I could have gone!! The decorations sounded so cute, your family is so creative!! I don't think that gene was passed down to anyone but my grandma (my dad's mom) and it just stayed with her.

Barb: The shower sounded wonderful. It is so nice to be able to share a moment like that with friends and family.

Julie: Good to hear from you. SO, when are we getting together? Of course, this pleurisy needs to go away first.

Sue: Glad to hear you aren't being outsourced. I think it is terrible that so many companies are sending jobs like that to India.

We cooked out hamburgers for dinner. I don't feel like cooking with my back hurting so much. I wish it would go away already!

Oh, I forgot to tell you Makenzie lost her front tooth in Disney! That made 4 so far.This was her first upper front tooth. AND today she lost the other!!! She was with a friend swimming and the other front tooth came out. Boy is this next chool year's school picture gonna be a beauty!! LOL!!!! SHe has lost her front two bottom and one of the teeth next to those and now her front top two teeth. Boy is she growing!!!!

Well, gotta go,Brooke has been up since about 9:50pm crying. I don't know if she has a tummy problem or if she has an ear ache or what!

Good morning!!! Is it the long weekend yet? These managers around here are slave drivers!!!!!

My mom is okay, she has been swamped. I am sure she will have time to post today.

Anybody have any plans for the weekend? Hopefully my BIL comes down to the campground and he can take me to go see the fireworks at the lake, if not I guess I will have to watch it from the campground!!!

Thanks for worrying about me Julie. I am fine. Just like Heidi said, a little swamped. How is little Brooke doing? When you said that Joey looked a lot like Brooke that young I had a flashback to Brooke pics and that is so true. Maybe that would be good to keep up with her brother. At least Makenzie's front teeth fell out! Heidi's did and Stacey was jealous so she forced hers out. She was toothless for a VERY LONG time.

Heidi, Stacey's Sam's Club has digital pics for 16 cents. Hope our big Sam's gets built! Don't forget that I have a few pictures for you. Something from American Express too but I think it is just solicitation for a card.

This weekend will be our homemade ice cream party. It will be strawberry and either choc or vanilla. Mmmmmm, wish I could have tons but will be good. I gained 1 1/2 pounds over the weekend.

Sorry Mom, but for sure I will not be able to get you Disneyland tickets. Beth just called me and told me that Suzie has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She will have her masectomy on July 8th and then with reconstrution surgery she will be out of work for 6 months.

On a happier note, Beth is having a boy, she is 7 1/2 months along and they are going to name him Cody.

Glad you got the pictures Heidi. I took some of them before the shower so everything was not complete. But you get the idea. Did you like my duckies in my pond? They still crack me up when I look at them.

Today after work I am meeting Tiffany at Starbucks then going to the gym she works at. She teaches little girls so I am going to video and take pictures for her senior year scrap book. Then home to make dinner.
