October 19th Cruisers again and again... Part 2

We have sun here in Denver, it is supose to get to 74 today.

I use to be a sleeper. I would be able to sleep in until 10:00 or 11:00 on the weekends, now I am lucky if I can sleep in till 7:00 at home. I miss the days that I would sleep forever!!

Another beautiful day. We put down 4 yards of mulch yesterday and are having 3 more yards delivered today and then we will put that down. Now, if I can stop eating my activity points, maybe I could lose some weight. Nothing for me again this week. We ended up at DQ last night for a blizzard.

Jeanne: SOunds like your cousin has every reason to have anxiety. Enjoy your clean carpets!

Heidi: I also miss the days when I could sleep forever! I usually pass out as soon as my head hits the pillow!

Sandy: We do get hail once in a while, but it isn't usually damaging.

Took Kaleigh for a walk earlier. SHe is tired, but won't admit it.

Not having as good of luck with the potty training. SHe will go when you tell her to go potty, but she isn't telling us anymore that she has to go.

Hi Denine.....so you went to my favorite thing to do in Ohio.....Amish country.

Sorry I said anything about a dreary day...it is now 85 and I was working in the yard and had to quit it is just too hot for me.....

I did get my waterfall in the front yard going....and half the bed cleaned and planted...at this rate I will finish in time for fall.....

Bonnie didn't say goodbye to us.

It did get pretty warm here yesterday. Hopefully it stays that way now!!!

So mom what are you doing today? I was thinking about stopping by after work today...unless Stacey's DR. appt runs late and Rich can swing by my house and check out the water pressure!!

I get my couch in 2 days!!!

Denine, I am getting a backache just thinking about all your mulching. I lost 3.2 last week but it really isn't anything to celebrate. I gained the week before so actually lost all that plus .6. Five more to go. Gosh, they are right when they say the last 10 are hard!

Heidi, I was thinking that couch day was coming soon. I can't wait. I think I am just as excited as YOU and Chris. I keep thinking about how caring he is towards us. Big hugs! I am not doing anything after I lose Graci so come on over. Stacey's dr appt is at 1:00 so I bet they go home.

Sally, waterfall in your front lawn. How cool is that? I did blame the temp on you. It did get warm.

I had a feeling that Bonnie would sneak out without posting. Guess I will have to call her and talk to that woman!!!!!

Heidi, Graci just got here and guess what. She brought her lunchbox. You did create a lunch box monster! How cute is that? She loves her Heidi. I enjoyed Beauty and the Geek. Not sure of the exact title. More "stuff" coming out of Mike.

Ok,I just lost my LONG post!! AAGGGHHHH!!! I'll post it again in a little while. I hate when it does that!! Basically the post was:

Makenzie: 3 days of school left, zoo trip tomorrow.

Garry: still home with his knee.

Brooke: gonna be the death of me! She walks UP the slide to the swing set and turns around and then slides down.

THe Big Guy: wants to go BACK to school. Has a super crush on his teacher Mrs. Kobach (that is how he says her name it is really cute)

Bonnie: no post before you left......... shame on you!!!! We're gonna have to have a talk! LOL

Jeanne: you go girl!! Sounds like you are sooooo organized! Tell your cousin to hang in there! I wish I was as organized as you!!! Please take lots of pictures!!!!

Heidi: new couch?? I want to see pictures!!!

Sandy: another 5lbs??? I really don't think I will recognize you!!!! Take a picture of you so I can see what an awesome job you are doing!!! Did you have your interview for the commercial yet???

Barb: I got your test email, but no pictures of the little prince!!! I want to see Ethan!! Sorry you worked memorial day, but at least it didn't sound like you were swamped. You go girl!!

Susan: Now I know when I use to read your posts and I would be tired from just reading it that my fun has just started!!! This end of the school year stuff is incredible!!! Hang in there! Give everyone a big hug from us!

Hi Julie, was missing your posts. Good to hear from you. I have had long posts disappear as well. Very frustrating. I just can't believe little Brooke. The Big Guy and his teacher. How sweet! Did you volunteer to go to the zoo with Makenzie? That is the only field trip I didn't volunteer. I just didn't want to lose anyone. When does Garry get to go back to work? Pixie dust his way. And.....when does Julie get a break for JULIE? Wow, I realized how much I missed you after we talked this weekend. We ALL need another reunion! (I just need to find money).

The waterfall isn't a very big one but it is a waterfall...

Well, I got sick last night.....My grandson had been sick and his mom got sick the day after we got there so of course I had to get it. I slept in the spare bedroom last night....that is all Dick needs is to get sick because of me...he has enough with his poor toe....it looks awful but then I guess when your nail goes the wrong way it doesn't look good....I hope it falls off by itself and he doesn't have to have the doctor do it.

My throat is swollen and so sore and I still ache this morning so no work outside for me.....I am going to try to scrapbook but will probably end up watching tv....

Reality show junkies: Who watched Beauty and the Geek last night? If you missed it they are showing it again tonight on the WB. Next Tuesday Gilligan Island starts up again on TBS and also a show called Get me fired (not sure what channel).

Yay Julie posted!!!! It was so much fun talking to you...I think we need a reunion or atleast a wine chat!!! Don't forget about Julie, take some time for yourself (wishful thinking, right!!!!) Today maybe we can download the pictures of me going into my house for the first time and email it to you. I love my new couch. It is a tan color, microfiber, and has the extra-wide cusions so that instead of 3 normal cushion it is 2 big ones and they both recline and have the longer recliners!!! I am so tired of that stupid futon that I can't wait to get the couch and be comfortable. Slowly it is becoming a home!!!

mom - Graci brought the lunchbox....too cute!!! does she still carry around the Winnie the Pooh that I gave her? I love my Graci!!! Chris is working late today so I figured you could entertain me!!!! I even remembered to bring the Chedds menu. Maybe I will stop at Target to pick up another shoe rack, wanna come with me?

edited: mom I forgot to tell you, this morning on my cell phone I had a message from Danny Valli, wishing me a belated Happy Birthday and telling me where he was in Switzerland on my birthday and about some castle there. Weird!!!

Sorry Julie, I am done mulching! We still have planting to do. I am hoping everything comes before we leave. Jerry is still looking into phones. We decided no swing set for Kaleigh this year. SHe loves to climb more than swing and we just can't afford those kind right now. We will just take her to the park.

2 year old: Free to a good home! She has never behaved so badly in a store before. I had to go to Kohls and ended up at Target for a new electric fry pan. Ours died. She was just awful. Everyone in the store was looking at me. When that was over, I still had to go to the grocery store for chicken breast since the other grocery store didn't have any the other day.

Beautiful day, but supposed to rain tomorrow.

The front of the house actually looks like someone lives here now. All the beds are mulched, the grass is green, I have some stuff platned and growing. I put out a hanging gold finch feeded and bird bath, the flag is flying. It is really looking nice.

It would be nice to have a waterfall or pond, but the weather is yucky for so long, that I would never get to enjoy it.

We got the compost bin put together yesterday, so now I am filling it with yard waste and kitchen scraps.

Heidi: Our new sofa is also microfiber. We really like it.

Sandy: I can't believe you only have 5 more pounds to go. You have done great! I still have those last 10 pounds.

Sally: Hope you start feeling better.

Off to work in the morning.

Denine - so is it as easy as they say to keep the microfiber clean and easy to clean up stains. You have a 2 year old so stains I am sure have been put to the test on your couch!!! Remember some day you will look back and laugh at all the things Kaleigh put you through!!

Denine, I had to laugh at your post. Graci is ALWAYS a perfect shopper but one day she did put me to the test. She wanted candy and I just don't buy candy/gum. She threw a hissy fit, screaming at the top of her lungs, while in line, while buying and all the way out the door. I just let her scream, didn't want to give her attention. But the stares I got were unbelievable. She only did it once. I am so proud of you. Only 10 pounds to go. What an awesome job you did!

Heidi: As much of a mess as Kaleigh makes, I really haven't had any stains to clean off the couch. A couple of things I have just scratched off with my nail. The cat hair vacuums up easily though.

Sandy: Thanks for your Graci story! How do I get kaleigh to start telling me she has to go potty again? We keep telling her she can't go in the Mickey pool and she says she wants to. Everything right now is frustrating, including the weight loss. We cooked out hamburgers tonight. They were good, but so unsatisfying because I wanted another. But, it was 7 points! WHen you have 30 points per day, that is no big deal, but when you only get 21... I wanted baked beans or somthing else to go with it, but had to settle for a salad with balsamic vinegar for 0 points. I have 5 points left and will use those for either ice cream or alcohol!

Jerry and Kaleigh just got back from getting gas for the lawnmower and now he is going to cut the grass. Kaleigh is watching Peter Pan.

Denine, don't be sorry for "whining". It helps to get it out. I know how you feel. Lately I haven't been satisfied either. There is so much I want to eat but don't want to chance a weight gain. Right now with Ted's dad I want to eat everything. I know now I eat when stressed. As far as potty training, perhaps take her to the store to pick out big girl panties with the understanding that she will be able to wear them when she goes potty like a big girl. Maybe use Makenzie as an example. Maybe she can pick out her favorite kind of candy for an incentive. A BIG thing for all my potty trainers was to say "I'll beat you to the potty" and let them "beat" you and go potty first. It becomes a game and they like to win. I will keep thinking for ideas.

Jeanne, how are the ladies and your cousin doing? Been thinking about all of them today.

I have not left yet!!! I leave tomorrow, get back on Tuesday. I started to read backwards then realized you all thought I was already in WDW so I stopped reading and posted before I got too tired.

All packed...too much of course, boarding passes printed out, great seats right by the exit door so we should be the first ones out! Yahoo! IT will be interesting with someone else...weird without you all.

Had a very busy week, trying to get the work done before vacation, Had to renew my drivers licesnce...left work early Tuesday to do it and the computer system was down statewide, of course it expired that day. Next day finally got it after leaving work early again. In NJ you have to bring your lifes history with you now to renew it...passport, old picture license, birth certificate...unless your name is different then you also have bring a marriage or divorce decree from the state. Jeez!!

My Lasik...has been rescheduled. I have to have a different procedure with a longer recovery time and more follow-up because I have very thin cornea. It is still in the experimental stage so they have to follow protocol...although it is FDA approved. Now it takes place on the 15th and I will miss 3 days of work!!! He told me it was either this or he couldn't do it and I would be cursed with these glasses, red marks, blurred vision etc forever. I can't wait!!!!

DENINE: We are here for you . Kayleigh will get it (eventually). I remember when I went to Nursing School & my daughter was in day care (you had to be two & a half & potty trained) that every day I would go there she would have had an "accident" which isn't that funny until I tell you that they put the wet panties in a BREAD BAG. So every day I would get a loaf of wet panties . Eventually they all get potty trained.

SALLY: Hope you feel better soon!

HEIDI: The couch you described is the kind all the designers say to have - neutral color & easy to maintain.

JULIE: I remember those years... Trying to do EVERYTHING! I think we should do a SPA getaway - just the girls. Who wants to be the travel agent?
