Good Morning!!

I have been trying to post for a couple of days. I have been so busy.

Ethan is PERFECT!! Such a doll. The Dr told Missy last week that they did not need to leave him under the lights anymore but if they wanted to they could. She left him there at night only. She took him back yesterday and I think his little "tanning bed" is going bye bye. No more lights for Ethan!

Bonnie we still love you. Sorry about your son. I hope things work out in time.

Heidi hows the new home? How exciting but sad too to leave your Moma.

I am sure I am forgetting a million things. I am trying to rush before I get another call and can't get this posted.

Mom - yes I agree, we need a weekend!!!! The last 3 weekends have not been really weekends but major work.

Julie - What have you gotten into now? I miss your posts. We want to hear about Makenzies birthday party.

Hi all!

We went to Toys R Us last night to look a swing sets. Didn't make a decision. Also looked at tricycles. I think I can get cheaper at Target. We did get Kaleigh a box of sidewalk chalk which she has already broken in and a sing a long DL video. We have watched it about 6 time this morning. Now, I really want to go!!!!!!!! We received our DL planning DVD, but haven't watched it yet, and we bought the Birnbaum's DL book, but haven't looked at it yet.

They are finally here to sod where the gas company dug up last fall. Yippee! Now I won't have to look at that big patch of dirt in my tree lawn. Jerry did put seed down a couple days ago to hide the spot till it was fixed.

Heidi: I actually DON'T have a recipe for blue punch! How about a nice fruit tray?

Barb: Glad Ethan is off the lights!

Jeanne: Sounds like you will have a fun weekend!

We actually have no plans this weekend, unless Julie tells me they can get together.

Sally: I hope you don't get any more snow! If you do, don't send it this way!

I have a few ideas for excursions, but I am sure you guys wouldn't be interested, since Kaleigh will be along. I just don't trust leaving her on the ship to do an excursion.

I keep trying to post this and all I get is websit not responding! UGGHHH!!!!!!!!!

Denine, what are your excursion plans? Where and what. Details, give us details! You know what....I wouldn't leave her on the ship either. I just haven't skimmed the excursion list what so ever. I don't know what my problem is. Plus, where do I find the excursion list for all ports?

Barb, glad to hear that Ethan's tanning bed is gone.

Sally, I am not sure about water restrictions. I heard they were probably going to 3 days a week but I never heard a final decisions. I, too, heard about snow for this weekend. Crazy isn't it.

Sally - the only people I have heard that are on water restrictions is Aurora.

Hi everyone! Been busy lately so sorry I haven't posted.

Makenzie's party was fine. She gots lots of clothes that she really needed! We got her a "big girl bike". She loved everything! Sunday we worked out in the yard trying to get things looking haalf decent around here.

Today after I dropped the kids off at school, the lawn man came and is going to repair our tree lawn that got torn up when they did the driveway last year. Plus we had a little "dip" in the front lawn that we filled in last year that we just re-seeded and it needed starter fert.on it. Then my one aunt called me and asked if I could take her to the store to find a cabinet for her bathroom and it wouldn't fit in her car and she knew that it would fit in mine. So after we got that, she asked me to help her take it in to her apartment. Once she took the pieces out of the box, I knew there was NO WAY she was going to put it together, so I helped her while she kept her eyes on Brooke. I went and got the kids and she took us to lunch at Friendly's. After that we went back to her apt. so I could finish the cabinet for her.
THEN, we came home for about an hour or so and then I took the kids to my parents house and I had to go to up to Makenzie's school to help with "market day" (it's a food ordering thing) pick up that lasted til 5:30pm. THEN I got the kids and went home to start dinner for them and then dinner for Garry before he went to work.

Tomorrow isn't as bad, but Thursday I have to read to Makenzie's class in the morning, and then I have PTA instilation dinner at 6:30 pm. I got "lucky" and was "nominated" for next year's recording secretary. More like, you want Makenzie to stay in this school,you will do what we need! LOL! On Firday after school, we have to got get Anna Marie and then on Saturday we have a birthday party for Makenzie with her friends from school. That is from 1-3pm. SOOOOOOOOOOO NOW I'm beginning to sound like Susan!!! LOL!!!!

Denine, so do you want to get together saturday night? I'm not sure what we can do, but I think my house will be out of commission after 10 six year old girls running around! LOL!!! Just let me know!

Sandy, ok I'll give, WHAT is going on with the Panama Cruise thread? What is thing about DU? No one will boot you off the boards cause you are telling us what had happened on the other thread. Give us some info!! Sounds interesting !!!!!

Heidi, you need ideals on shower foods? Why is the punch blue? Any reasons? I think I can find one for you if you need it. Food ideas...... hmmm, I'll look into that too! You are going to have fruit, and veggies, right? You could go "hot food" and have inside out chicken pot pie. You take the individual puff pastry and put a cream of chicken mixture over it (if you want the recipe, I'll give it to you). It is pretty easy. There is also a chicken divine recipe too (chicken, cheese and broccoli). It is pretty easy to make and you make it before the party, but it takes time to prepare.There is also seven layer salad, pasta salads, tuna/chicken salads, etc. I can find some recipes too if you want to. I've just got brain freeze right now.

Barb, sounds like Ethan is coming along great! When are we going to see pictures???

Sally, I need you to come here and help me with MY yard!!! You're super with yards!! PLEASE!!!!!!!! I need your expertise!!!

Thanks Julie....wish I could come help you....I just happen to love to garden...more fun than cleaning.

I am so glad the black couple won...forgot their names....the amazing race. It sure looked like Rob and Amber was going to for awhile....My granddaughter won $80 in their office pool for having the first place team.

It is late....so better head for bed...the weather is changing...windy and the temperture is dropping....

I am posting from home before I go to work. I only have a second.

I have started a scrap book for Ethan. Jaymee and I went to look at supplies last night. They sure have some fun stuff out. Now to fit this into my already packed schedule.

I am going to try and work in my garden today after work. I have so far to go. I am anxious to go and get flowers.

Julie (aka superwoman) - Dang sounds like you are Mrs. Handy woman!!!! You are getting as busy as Susan, hope it doesn't rub off to me!!! I want blue punch because the theme for the baby shower is rubber duckies and I want it blue to look like water and I will float some rubber ducks on top of the punch. Food, nope not going to prepare a thing for those people lol, but I would like those recipes for later use for me!!!! I am thinking about finger food/appetizers and just picking up a bunch of trays from the grocery store (sandwich tray, veg tray, fruit tray, chicken nuggets tray from Chik-fil-a).

Last night was the first night that I actually didn't wake up throughout the night.

Mom - I finally found my watch so I am doing better now!!!!

My manager's daughter that has cancer and is a "Make a Wish" kid and is going on a Disney Cruise? She won Prom Queen over the weekend. She is sure having a great year!!!

Hi all! Just checking in. Have any of you heard about the two girls in Chicago that were murdered on Mother's day? They were 8 and 9yrs (best friends) and now the FATHER of one of the girls admitted HE killed them both! Now this father was just released from prison last month and he told the authorities he was mad at her because she didn't leave the park when he told her to. He hit her in the stomach and then he stabbed her in the neck and eyes. He said her friend just happened to be there so he beat them both and stabbed them both. SICK SICK MAN!!!!

Yes I have heard of the 2 girls and I did hear that the dad was released a month ago from prison and that he wanted to be a part of his daughter's life, the last I heard was that he probably would not be a suspect. How sad, those poor 2 little girls lives were taken too soon. What kind of creep would do that. I wonder what made him confess? What is up with the sick sick people in the world today.

That is terrible!

About 2 weeks ago someone I know. Killed herself and her 2 sons. She was super depressed and felt there was no hope. She called one of her friends and told her she wanted to kill herself. Her friend told Julie to think about her boys. Julie said I am going to take them with me. A few days later she did.

Jason use to babysit for them when the boys were little. Sure hit close to home.

Not sure if I told you guys or not but when we were doing The Thorn one of the team leaders daughters started having seizures and had to be taken to the hospital. She was in a drug induced comma while they tried to figure out what was wrong. The doctors in Colorado Springs finally decided to send her to the Childrens hospital in Denver since they could not find out what was wrong with her. this had been going on since March. I got an email yesterday telling me Alyssia had passed away yesterday. She was only 13.

Heidi, My mother and I were talking about how strange people have gotten! Back when I was young and in school, I use to walk to school and we never thought about someone taking me or hurting me. Now, I can't let the kids outside unless I'm with themand walking to school by yourself, forget about it! What has happened to people today?

So much sadness here today. I had heard of the two girls and it made my stomach sick. And of course the one in the Springs that Barb was talking about was all over the news. Barb, I am so sorry to hear that you knew the family. And then the 13 year old girl too. So many tragedies.

Julie, we used to walk to school, never locked our doors and windows and played outside without adult supervision. The world has changed soooo much. I would never consider letting Noah and Graci play out front unless I was there with them, period! Phew....I got so tired just reading your post!

Barb, so happy that Maddie was named prom queen and is going on that cruise. That poor girl deserves everything!! Bet you don't work out in the yard today. We are getting drenched here. They said that the Denver Water Board will decide today about water restrictions. Cross your fingers!

Heidi, wish I could sleep through the night, just ONE night. Just one!!

Sally, I wanted the black team to win as well. Poor Joyce needed to be rewarded for shaving her head! They were a very honest team and played an honest game. I was so scared in the beginning last night that they didn't have a chance!

I am late posting today. I took Kaleigh with me to a luncheon at work for nurses week. We had a nice lunch and a good time. They gave us these neat tin boxes filled with stuff. The box looks like an old red cross box. We also got a white rose, but I forgot to bring mine home. Maybe I can get it on Friday.

When we got home, Kaleigh just started crying. She sat on the couch with me for an hour watching her DL video. She finally fell asleep. She was buring up when she woke up. Temp 102. SHe is starting to feel better. I bet it is those darn molars!

I was in tears last night. Kaleigh was on my lap watching her DL video and When You wish Upon A Star was on. You can guess the rest.

Julie: Yes, we can get together on Saturday. You guys can just come over if you want. The kids can play in the basement.

Barb: Sorry to hear about your friends.

Today is our last warm day. Supposed to be 56 tomorrow. It never lasts.
