Barb: Yes, we did have Kaleigh's 1st haircut at the barbershop on Main St. SHe got a certificate,, and mouse ears that are stitched with 1st haircut. They also put "pixie dust" in her hair and wrapped up her cut hair in tissue with more "pixie dust". It was great!

Jeanne: Your kids sure are busy getting married! Congrats to your son! Glad Joyce had a nice trip. Would love to go there some day.

We are planning on having margaritas tomorrow.

I don't know how, but I lost 3 pounds this week after being at a standstill for so long.

Jerry's dad my be going back into the hospital. He is not doing that great and his mom was taking him to the cardiologist today. He won't listen to anyone and says he is fine.

Supposed to finally warm up a bit. 60's tomorrow.

I am getting my tanzanite bracelet fixed for Mother's Day. I lost a stone back in October. Saw a beautiful Kabana ring at the jewelry store for $900. Didn't buy it.

The new lights look really nice in the bathroom , but we do have a hole to fix. They did a sloppy job behind the 1 light and with the new light, the hole shows.

Jeanne - you are such a sweetheart and so good to your kids!!! Sounds like an awesome honeymoon for them, I am sure they will have lots of fun!! Do you like to go out to a restaurant for a rehearsal dinner or can you make it cheaper by throwing a BBQ? My best friends rehearsal dinner was a BBQ in her moms' backyard. She said she really enjoyed it. Maybe we can help you come up with cheaper ideas!!! Thanks for keeping us updated!!!

Barb - YOU HAVE TO SHARE PICTURES!!!! WE NEED PICTURES!!!

Denine - CONGRATS on the weight loss!!! Pixie Dust For Jerry's dad, hopefully everything will be alright. Why do men have to be so stubborn?

Tanzanite, that is my favorite stone right now...I have earings, rings, necklaces, and bracelets with tanzanite. About a year ago I switched from Amethyst to Tanzanite being my favorite stone!!

Denine- Do you remember the app cost and can it be a walk in or do we need an appointment?

Heidi-I am not sure how to do pictures :sad2: Bob got me a really cool HP printer for valentines day. It is a printer, fax and copier. I am sure there must be a way but I just don't know how to use it.

I am going to take my Mom over to see him either today or tomorrow. She still has not seen him. I want to get some more pictures of her first visit with him. I will ask my Dad how to do it. He is a computer whiz. :wizard:

Barb, we too got The Big Guy's hair cut at the barber shop on Mainstreet. It is by walk in. I think it costed about $15 (I think it has been a few years since he had it done). They seem steady all day. When Garry (the big guy) got his first hair cut, we were lucky enough to have the barber shop quartet sing to him while he was getting his hair cut. they all got around him and sang I think it was 4 or 5 songs! We got it on tape and it is one memory I WILL ALWAYS have of his first haircut. He still has "baby's first haircut" mouse ears and his certificate is with his baby stuff along with the wrapped hair!

Jeanne, I'm for the BBQ idea that Heidi stated for the rehearsal dinner. I was actually going to toss that idea up but she beat me to it. Is he the one that like the hamburger helper??? you could do that for him and I think he would love that special "mom" touch!!! It's not the cost but the love that is put into a rehearsal dinner.

We passed our school levy so Makenzie won't be in super large classes next year! Thank goodness!!!!

Well, gotta go, I'll be back later!!

We are back home safe and sound.....had a wonderful vacation! We went with Patti and Ken and had a ball....couldn't believe the miles went so fast. The first day I think Patti and I talked non-stop all day and the second day we watched movies...spent a whole day in Reno and I won $300 and on the way home Dick won $200 so we came home with as much cash as we took...of course that doesn't count the plastic....

There was l4 of us at Rick's and had a great time....bon fires, cutting down trees (I watched) but Patti and Barb cut with a chain saw...had a birthday party for Rick. The girls did facials, massages by candlelight..fun!

I have always not liked to ride that many miles (over l400) but it didn't even seem like it was that far....that is what happens when you have good company and they were fun to travel with.

My great granddaughter is ll months old and she was walking, has been since she was 9 month old, and you should see her go down a little plastic slide....never have seen a baby as good as she was....very seldom cried and when she did it didn't last a minute. All in all it was a very relaxing time....

Now I am back to the same old grind.....cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning...hopefully it will get warm and stay warm so I can do the yard.

Heidi, it is wonderful you now have a home of your own....

Happy birthdays to the ones I missed....and hi to Sandy, Bonnie, Susan, Julie, Jeanne, Denine and Joyce. Did I miss anyone...if so HI!

Thank Julie for the information. Now I have a really good reason to go to Disney!

Just talked to Missy. She took Ethan to the dr for a check up and he has jaundice :sad1: The doctor made him cry good thing I was not there I would of had to take him out! They are sending lights over to the apartment that he will have to stay under. :smooth: Ethan hates to have his clothes off he is not going to like this.

So much chatter and so little time to post. Hi to all.

Stacey and Heidi had severe jaundice. Heidi more than Stacey. I am glad that they caught it for you!

I lost 2.8 since Monday. I just couldn't believe it because my body is going crazy with gaining. At least I am at a all time low again and have lost 52 lbs and 9 to go. Way to go Denine. What an awesome job!

Jeanne: We had our rehearsal dinner at Jerry's parents. Nothing fancy.

Barb: The haircut was still around $15.

Heidi: I love tanzanite, but now I am wanting to mix ith with the Australian opal. The combo is sooo pretty.

Jerry's dad did not get admitted...yet. He is going to another cardiologist. The one he went to today doesn't do hospital work anymore. He needs to get in ASAP but there are no openings until after June so this doc has to call and get him in. He will more than likely be set up for a cardiac cath. His heart is not pumping effectively at all and is skipping beats. He also has a leaky valve. He may be in for heart sugery. The other problem is the circulation in his feet is extremely poor. His feet are starting to turn blue. He is beyond Trental and may have to have bypass surgery in both legs. That was a major operation with very long incisions when I worked in the hospital, don't know if anything has changed. He sees this doctor on Friday.

Julie: Is Makenzie's party on Saturday? If so, what time and where?

HI everyone!

WOW!!!!!!!!! Way to go Sandy!!! I won't recognize you!!!!!!

Denine, yes the party is Saturday. It is at 4pm. I didn't get around to sending the invitations out. I have been soooooooo bad with that!!!! Right NOW,it is going to be at my mom's house AGAIN!!! For 2 reasons,1 because our bathroom still looks like **** and Garry doesn't want anyone over until it is finished (which won't be until we are back from Disney) and the other is because I think my father will be more comfortable at his house. He is strong enough to go everywhere, but his "good foot" has a very bad blister on his heel and he is in pain when he walks right now. SO... unless I call you or email you, that is the party situation.
Have you ever heard of the Police tatoo? It is a fantastic "concert" of police bag pipes and Irish dancers and the like. Would you guys be interested in something like that?

Well, I gotta run. I'll be back later!!

:sunny: Good morning everyone!

Jeanne, our rehearsal dinner was at Ted's parents house. It was fantastic. If I am right, she served turkey with salads. Don't sweat it. I love the hamburger helper idea! Hugs to Joyce! We will have a margarita and think of you guys tonight.

Denine, pixie dust to your FIL! How's the house coming? .....and for that matter, how is the weather your way? It is a beautiful week with a high of 72 today and 75 tomorrow. Colorado is infamous for afternoon showers and it is in the forecast for the next few days.

Julie, can I ever relate to an unfinished house project. Ted is infamous for not completing tasks EXCEPT for other people. I think it is a great idea to have it at your parents house. Your dad needs some special attention because of that foot!! When do you leave for your trip? Gosh, have a fantastic time. We want pictures!

Sally, welcome home. I am definitely not a car person. I hated it when we would drive back to SoDak. It would take 14-16 hours one way. We did a round trip in a weekend one time for a funeral. We were so exhausted. Sounds like you really enjoyed yourself. So how is Patty? I think of her often.

Looks like Graci is here.

Sally - I love road trips because all I do is sleep!!! I can catch up on all of my sleep then. If I had to drive it might be a different story!!!

Julie - the police tatoo sounds like a lot of fun, too bad I can't join you.

Mom - if you need something to do, you can always go to my house and open up the windows since it is going to be a nice day!!!

Sandy, Patti is doing good.....finally got over her illness....and she is so funny; I love being with her....she just lives too far away.

It is 63 right now...beautiful day....I am torn between working outside and cleaning...

Went with Barb last night to see Ethan...he is so little and cute....

Good Morning!

Geeessss this week is draging! It feels like yesterday should have been Friday. Got to clean my house this weekend since I have not done my really good cleaning for 2 weeks.

Ethan is doing great. Missy has a "tanning bed" set up for him in his crib to help with the jaundice. She is only suppose to hold him to feed him. Kind of hard on a new Nana! I am going to stop by there today after work and work on her laundry again. I try and clean every time I am there. I am a organize a-holic. I would LOVE to be able to clean out her closets and drawers. But I am trying to hard to hold back so she doesn't feel she is not doing a good job.

Going shopping for plants this weekend. Got to get my garden ready to plant in. Finally we are getting nice weather so I can work on it this weekend.

Barb

Barb - your post made me giggle, I am sure my mom would have loved to help me clean out my room and closets a few times!!!

Thanks mom for opening my windows.

WOW! I wish I would have had some help when we first brought Kaleigh home. You are so good to your family, Barb!

Julie: We will be there on Saturday. The Police Tattoo sounds like fun.

The weather is finally starting to get decent. We have been at least 10 degrees below normal for so long. It is 58 right now and supposed to get a little warmer today. Suppsed to be upper 60's low 70's the next few days. I can't wait to open up my house to air it out.

I opted not to chase Hera up and down stairs for 10 minutes this morning to give her her meds. I was only able to get her ATB into her yesterday morning and she spilled some from the bottle. With 2 of us, we got her meds into her last night.

The new plants are having a hard time with temps in the 40's during the day and 30's at night. They really sent the stuff too early to plant around here. You can't really plant until Memorial Day. I really want to mulch,l but can't do that until the ground warms up. Going to buy grass seed tonight for the backyard. It doesn't look too bad for throwing the seed down late last year.

Sally: Glad to have you back!

Sandy: Good job on the weight loss!

Heidi: I used to love road trips too. Then, we put a little person back there and it hasn't been the same since!

Sally, I love Patty too. Her humor can get anyone going! Tell her I said hi.

Now, now Barb. You are being a wonderful mom to do the laundry BUT don't do organizing. I would hate for Missy to take it the wrong way. OR for that fact your SIL might think of you as one of those MIL's!! Missy will start getting things done now that she has delivered. With that said, Heidi, when can I come over and organize?? She definitely will need help! :rotfl2: I can relate how it feels to not be able to hold Ethan. It was so hard for us with the girls in the incubators in intensive care under the lights.

Denine, I am happy for YOU that the weather :sunny: :flower: is getting nicer. You personally will feel so much better. I am with you about getting help after the arrival of a little one. We didn't get any help either. BUT...Ted :love2: was able to take paternity leave and he was such a major help. He was perfect. Even got up for the middle of the night feedings and then went to work. He would always make sure that they had their morning feedings, too.

Heidi, glad I went over to your place. Highly toxic fumes from the paint. :faint: Clouds are starting to come in but I bet if it rains :umbrella: it won't be until Graci goes home and I can run over there.

Jeanne and Joyce, we will be thinking of you tonight at Los Amigos while we are Armadillos. :drinking1 Cheers!

Good morning all, TGIF.

I sure wish this was my Friday off!!! Too bad my boss won't let me work 4 - 10's because I would gladly do it!! My sister and I at my old job @ the daycare started out having EVERY friday off in the summertime because we wanted to go camping. Only lasted one summer!!!!

Well this is the weekend, very emotional weekend. Not looking foward to it, in fact my stomach is in knots...time will make it easier...right? Thats what I keep telling myself!!

Every morning there is about 6 of us that go down to the cafeteria, well today we had to get our picture taken for who knows what, I guess they call us the breakfast club. The lady is "working on something!!!"

Found out one bad thing about my place...they have a tree that I am allergic to so my allergies are going crazy. My mom and I are afraid that I am going to have to live drugged up and never be able to open my windows. Oh well, you take the good with the bad and the good outweighs the bad completely. If the only bad thing is allergies, I think I can handle that!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all the great mommy's because I know I won't make it on this weekend.

Good morning Heidi. The tree thing..... is there more then one (like a whole development of trees)? If there is a tree on your property (close to your residence...that is) maybe you could ask them to remove it and state it is for health reasons. Most condo places are willing to work with their residents.
Maybe you could "donate something for a new tree" (yeah I know..with what! I just became a home owner!). But like I said, asking won't hurt!

I know that this weekend will be hard on you and your mother, but you will probably realize that you will be even closer! I know when I moved out. I thought that I was gonna lose it, but there was so much going on that I didn't have time to get upset. BUT when things did slow down, I did break down. The weird thing is, we are even closer then we were before! There is something soooooo special about the bond between a mother and a daughter and even moving into your own place won't weaken or break it. (it is a different bond then the one between a son and a mother which is still a very strong one too.). Hang in there Heidi and Sandy! This will be a hard few days, but it will make things even stronger!! I'll be thinking of both of you!

Well, starting to get things ready for Miss Makenzie's 6th birthday (which is actually TOMORROW!!!) I must say that 6yrs ago, I did get the best Mother's day present... Makenzie Ann! Actually I had her on a Friday at 3:10pm and we came home on Mother's Day. I got a little picture frame that came in a giftbag when they wheeled the basinet into the room that day. It was a gift from the hospital, which I thought was a nice touch.

Well, gotta go. I'll be back later. I have to go Anna Marie this afternoon, but I will be back.
