Julie: I couldn't even reqad the letter to the son. It is just all so sad and pointless. I say "cop" just cause it is faster to spell when I am typing.

What night is pirate night? I need to look at what night we hve Palo dinner. I don't think the costume had the pink stripe. It looked really cute though and Kaleigh's eyes lit up when she saw it on the screen.

Hope Makenzie has fun with soccer.

We spent the day at Memphis Kiddie Park yesterday. Jerry's mom wanted to take Kaleigh so we went. I had never been, but Jerry had. It was fun. Kaleigh loved the roller coaster, but I couldn't go on it. She also loved the spinning cars ride. After, we took her to McD's. Then we came home and worked in the yard for 2 hours.

Today we are cleaning the house.

Good Morning

Busy busy week last week. My Missionette class started last night. I spent last week preparing for it. Last night went very well. I have 24 girls this year which will be very challenging. I would rather keep the class around 15.

I am just not in the mood to work this week. It has been a long time since I had a fun vacation and I am a little burned out. BLAH!

I talked to Jason Friday night. Not sure if I told you or not. Jason got out of the Airforce last March, got married in June and is now a student at CSU with Michelle his wife. He is having such a good time. He decided to learn to play the tuba so he could be in the band. Michelle is the drum major. Saturday they played another Colorado college team so the game was at "Mile High" where the Broncos play. Jason is a HUGE Bronco fan so he was SOOOOO excited about marching on the same field as the Broncos play on. Heehee :lmao:

Julie sorry again about another officer down. Most of the time the reason they get shot is so stupid. There is no reason to take their lives just so someone can get away. I know this sounds really bad but I hope their prison stay is horrible! Last year when that young officer was killed here it was by some punk kid who was on the run. Like most of them he got caught anyway.

How many more days until school starts Denine??

Barb: Any chance of some of your girls dropping out of the group to make it smaller? That is a lot of girls to keep track of.

1 week from today school starts!

I wonder what our cruisers are up to? Probably lying in the sun by the pool sipping somthing yummy or eating a nice lunch. Wonder whats for dinner?

Julie: We looked at the website last night. The High Seas costume is the one I was looking at for Kaleigh. We were looking at the matching adult costumes for us or something else. What is the website you got your costumes from?

Going to get Kaleigh's hair cut this evening.

The tuba, huh? That is cute that his his wife is the drum major. Husband and wife band members.

Not much else going on.

I think I am going to make this my blog!

It is cool and rainy today. Yuck!

Got Kaleigh's hair cut last night and she got to play with Marco next door. Marco starts pre-school today. He has a long day, 5 or 6 hours three days a week.

I wonder if the storms out there are affecting our cruisers? Then again, that is the cahnce you take when you sail in September. Hope they are having fun.

Still trying to find a priate costume.

Going to PT today.

Starting to look at the lesson manual for next week.

I talked to my family a couple days ago. They seem to be having a good time. They were pretty upset because they didn't leave port until after 6:00 and it was pouring rain so they didn't get to watch. They said the seas are a little rough but they are enjoying it. I guess it was rough enough to throw my mom on the edge of the pool when she was in Quiet Cove. Chris is sicker than a dog...Heidi thinks he might have bronchitis. She was hoping to find some medicine once they left the dock in St. Thomas. Hopefully she did and he is feeling a little better.

Does anyone know about being a consultant for PartyLite or Creative Memories? I was thinking about maybe doing one of those to earn a little extra $$$.

Good Morning!

Hope we get a least one page done before the cruisers come back!

Bob is working nights this week so I have been working on Christmas stockings. I have 50 to make, I decided to only do 5 a day so I don't burn out. Got most of them cut out yesterday.

Work has been so busy lately. Back to back calls. I really hate it when it is like that. It is so stressful.

Denine-24 is a lot of little girls. I had most of them last year so I am only adding a few to the mix. I love them so much they are so loving. I gave them a questionair Sunday night, just an "About Me" so I had a better idea of family members etc.... One question I asked them is what they like about the program. One of the little girls wrote. "I love Ms Barb" another one wrote "The Teachers" One of the mothers went into the Childrens church office over the Summer and was really upset because I was not teaching her daughters class anymore. I guess she really balded out the directors since I chose 5th grade instead of 4th she was not bringing her daughter back until she found out I was taking on both grades. I feel soooo

I decided this year I am making the girls birthday cards. I got the 3 September birthday's done last night. I am not much of a card maker so this should be interesting. Last year I didn't do anything special for their birthdays since I was so new to the program by the time I got into the swing of things I had already missed to many of the birthdays. This year I have it under control!

I have been looking for airline tickets for Tiffany for October and December. Delta has tickets for $150 right now. I am really leary of Delta because of all the problems Patty had but the tickets are $100 cheaper! I can get both her tickets for $300 or go with another airline that is more dependable and pay that for one ticket. WHAT SHOULD I DO????? :confused3

Plus the little plane that crashed last week was part of the Delta family. Don't think it was entirely the pilots fault but YIKES!

Barb: I wish I was as creative as you. You are always making something. It is good to be loved!

Yikes on the airline tickets! Don't know what to tell you.

Another gray rainy day. Cool too. I want warm and sunny. Can't wait for vacation next month.

Stacey: I hope Chris is feeling better. Glad everyone is having a good time. When do they come back?

Went looking for costumes last night. Bought one for Kaleigh. Still can't decide on one for me. Jerry should be pretty easy.

We may go to Amish tomorrow and then I work on Friday.

Everyone gets back on Sunday in the afternoon sometime. My kids went to the doctor yesterday and got three shots each. They aren't feeling very well at all today. Joey hasn't even walked or even attempted to move yet. Sure wish my family was in town. I would be begging my mom to come over and help. We can finally turn their car seats around---JOey is finally 20.2 lbs. Woohoo!! THis is short--Joey is on my lap while Tyler is still sleeping.

Stacey: Poor kiddos. I think Kaleigh gets shots this time.

Julie: I e-mailed the hostess and asked for the 11th of November.

We are going to Amish tomorrow, so I won't be on tomorrow.

Good Morning!

We have to at least get through one page before the cruisers get back!

Working on bills and lesson plans today. Tomorrow I am off. YAY! Work has been tuff this week.

Bob has been working nights this week. I went by Chick-Fil-A last night and got salads then went to his work. We sat in his office ate our salads then went for a 2 mile walk. I needed to get home and sew stockings but instead Jaymee and I ended up watching TV. NOT GOOD! I have to keep on those stockings. I am determined to stay ahead this year. I have a lot of my Christmas presents bought and wrapped. And I am trying to get all my Missionette lessons, crafts and activities planned before we leave in Nov.

I ordered a Gingerbread house kit to send to Tiffany late November so the girls on her floor can put it together. I am going to get gingerbread cookies for my Missionettes to decorate which reminds me I need to reserve the kitchen at church.

Today is my Friday. Tomorrow is a busy day.

Once our cruisers get back we need to set a date for the gift exchange and make sure everyone is going to be a part of it. Never did hear from my Secret Santa last year but I did have a nice buddy send me something.

Time to get to my morning emails. I also call my kids every morning and leave them a voice mail wishing them a good day. Time to get busy

Just heard from my family. They were passing by St. Thomas and Heidi got a signal so she called me eight o'clock this morning. Chris is still sicker than a dog. They are still having a good time but are ready for some quiet days. A couple days in a row full of ports and excursions have them tired. Today and tomorrow are days at sea so they get a chance to relax. Today they were going to have brunch at Palos.

That's all the news for now. I'm sure next time I hear from them they will be back in Florida so I will let them talk all about it. Poor Heidi leaves for Texas on Monday so she only has a little time to do laundry and recover a little before she heads out again. They are all coming to my house on Sunday to eat dinner and run. This way at least they don't have to worry about dinner when they get home. ;)

Hi guys! Sorry to be MIA lately. Yesterday was crazy!! Took Makenzie to school, went to the groecery store, made a 7 layer salad, typed up PTA minutes, took Garry to school, set up for a PTA luncheon, had a PTA meeting, got the kids from school, went home, put Makenzie's soccer outfit into the dryer, tried TRIED to pick up some of the house, then took Makenzie to her soccer game. SHE WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 6-3!!! She played almost the entire game! She had one 5 min. break during the game, but was in the rest of the hour game. She was on defense and did a SUPER job! She has had only 3 practices and one other game before this. She has really picked up on the game VERY well. She is the fastest girl on the team!

Stacey, glad to hear that the cruisers are having a great time. I'm sorry to hear the Chris is still sick. I hope he becomes a disperson like the rest of us!

Barb, just when I think that I'm busy, I read your post! WOW! You go girl!

Denine, did you guys go to Amish country? Boy, I thought today was suppose to be nice? It's cool and rainy AGAIN!!!

Well, gonna go! Got to make sure Garry is ready fir school!

TtFn

Nothing but cool and rain all week, yuck!

Julie: We did got to Amish yesterday. We spent the whole day and were sooo tired when we got home. I changed the date of the wine tasting party to the 18th. She didn't have the 11th open. Yeah Makenzie!!!!!! :cheer2:

Barb: You are such a great mom. I wonder what all of Tiffany's dorm mates think of you sending all this cool stuff. Get to work on those stockings! :lmao:

How much are we spending on the gift exchange this year?

Stacey: Sounds like they will have a nice couple of days before they have to go home. I forget, why is Heidi going to Texas? Is it for work? Their vacation sure has gone fast and we weren't even with them.

Work was OK, but one of my residents is dying. It won't be long. Jerry had a bad work day. PT was OK, but we are still so tired from the dreary weather and yesterday.

We ordered our costumes and they have been shipped.

School starts on Monday. :teacher:

Good Morning Everyone!!
Well Julie, Denine and Stacey! Since there are only a couple of us right now. My Mom and I went to a card making class yesterday so last night I started my Christmas cards. Yipeeee it was fun. So now you can all expect a hand made card this year. By the way my Mom's computer is not working so that is why she has not been posting. She misses everyone and hopefully will be back on soon.

Julie you and I are kindred spirits. PTA, Soccer games etc.... Now you know what you have to look forward too when the kids are older. ;) You still are running but with different stuff.

I have decided to have Thanksgiving dinner in October. I emailed the family yesterday to see how they felt about it. Since Tiffany will be home in Oct and not November and we are leaving on our cruise the day after Thanksgiving I really do not want to cook that day sooooo I thought it would be a good idea to have Thanksgiving in October. Waiting to hear back from the family.

Ethan signs "Please" now every time he wants something. WHAT A CUTE BABY! I miss him so much he and Missy are still in Iowa visiting a friend. He also says "Happy and Puppy".

Stacey- are you teaching the twins to sign? What words do they know?

I am planning activities for when Tiffany is here. It is going to be so busy. We are going to "Boo at the Zoo" the Punkin Farm, plus she has a list of resturants she wants to go to. Guess food is getting a little boring there already. Thanksgiving and Christmas shopping. She should be good and worn our when she leaves.

Barb: How about sending me some of your energy? Tiffany is tired of college food already? That is bad! Thanksgiving in October sounds good since you can have everyone around. I wouldn't want to cook a huge meal the day before vacation either.

Sally: Sorry your computer is acting up. :badpc:

Another dreary day this morning, but the sun finally came out and warmed up a bit.

Got my costume today. I am SO out of my rhealm with this pirate stuff.

A good Sunday morning to everyone.

We had a special breakfast for Kaleigh this morning since she starts school tomorrow. Jerry made waffles, her current favorite.

Supposed to be nice today, the sun is coming out.

No real plans for today, except yard work once the dew burns off.

Let me be the first to welcome our cruisers home. I hope you had a wonderful trip and I can't wait to hear the details.

I don't know when I will be on tomorrow since we start school. It will be 1-1/2 to 2 hours every morning and then tomorrow night we are going out to dinner to celebrate.
